Things I liked:

It works! Just popped a squirrel at 10 yards. Had to step over from cover, shoulder and fire quickly. The squirrel dropped to the ground, killed instantly. I shoot a lot of squirrels with my CFX and even with a good head or heart shot they very rarely are just smacked right down dead. I was amazed. Shocked, in fact. Nice weight, very sweet handling and natural pointing, like an expensive "real" shot gun. The trigger on mine is smooth and just right, way better than the trigger on my CFX.

Things I would have changed:

Even though my trigger is good the way it is, it would be nice to have a hole in the trigger guard right above the adjusting screw for the trigger. Also it would be kind of them to include a half dozen of the tiny, brass adapters for shooting pellets as it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when that tiny adapter disappears somewhere.

What others should know:

I fired at a 700 page tool catalog at 30 feet and the #9 shot penetrated to around page 175. At 40 feet the shot penetrated to around page 135.

    Things I liked:

It's a very good looking rifle, feels good in the hand. Surprisingly accurate shooting pellets in a smoothbore barrel with just a front bead. Egar to try the shot shells on some rats.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing to note at this time.

    What others should know:

My rifle shoots premium pellets through 1/2 in plywood at 20ft, plenty of power

    Things I liked:

I like the simplicity, price and the option to shoot pellets if onekligen should unfortunately run out of shells. It's great fun to own and be shooting this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The hollow plastic stock...but then the price would also change.

    What others should know:

This is in my opinion a novelty gun for fun and short range, since the spread of shorts is large at longer range than 15 yards. Stock up on shotgun shells!

    Nothing

    What others should know:

He who chases two rabbits catches neither. What I mean by that is multi-purpose items rarely excel at either purpose but they sure can be fun and this air shotgun is definitely fun. Get creative with your targets such as candy suckers, Neco wafers, and other "reactive" targets and you can have a load of fun with family & friends. Make sure to stock up on shotshells as you will go through them quickly. This air gun is hard to put down.

    Things I liked:

I bought this several months ago, specifically for rattlesnake.. for just a 22 spring gun and very small shot it preforms very well.. I have yet to use it for snake, and am thankful.. but it has a lot more power than the reviews make it sound.. fairly accurate in 22 pellet for a smooth bore.. I used to have a 28 gauge CO2 farco shotgun, wish I still did, but you could see the arc of the 45 sabot slug out of it.. this Gamo shoots a lot faster.. I have most been shooting PCP guns and it's been a long time since I had my Diana 34&48.. guess maybe I forgot, but this gun does have a bit of recoil.. but nothing like my .410.. I'm very glad that I bought this one.. mostly synthetic, so very light.. I also like that it comes with a brass adapter to shoot 22 pellets.. and if you are shooting pellets, you just leave the adapter in and reload like a regular break barrel.. great light all weather gun.... and also to start off with.. pyramid air is a great company and very helpful staff..

    Things I would have changed:

I know that it's primarily a shotgun and smooth bore, but I do wish they would put something on it for a rear sight.. I will probably use a paint marker to draw a center line on the little hump at the rear of the barrel.. it's got a nice front sight.. and if I could change anything on the current PCP guns.. I am really disappointed that most of them have no open sights.. I only shoot open sights, so the ones that still come with open sights are getting rare.. I'm afraid that my next PCP will be a project gun.. sitting in my machine shop so I can fabricate a front sight or mount.. but this Gamo, for the money is a very good buy..

    What others should know:

if you want a close range shotgun for small pests.. I think this is good for around 20 yards.. so if that's what you are looking for.. buy it.. it's also quite accurate with pellets at 40-50 yards, especially considering no rear sight.. also it seems especially now days that various ammo is hard to get.. so I would recommend that you order more than you think you will need.. I actually spent more on shotshells than the gun.. figured I would have enough to last my life.. but if you are on the fence, and what I have described is what you want.. order it with plenty of shotshells.. 22 pellets seem a lot easier to find.. oh one last reminder.. pyramid air is a good company and very helpful staff.. consider just that, if they sell what you want, buy from them, you won't be disappointed

    Things I liked:

I received my Gamo Viper Express yesterday and I just killed a Red Squirrel from 20 feet on my deck with a Gamo factory shell. I'll use the Gamo Viper Express to eliminate the Red Squirrel infestation in my woods and around the house, but still use my regular 20 gauge shotgun for larger game at longer distances. I don't want to take a chance wounding a larger game animal with the Gamo. The plastic factory shells can be reloaded, but I assume it could nullify the warranty.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe longer shells with more shot.

    What others should know:

In my opinion, this is a pest control shotgun for animals that move too rapidly for a single pellet shot. In my state, Red Squirrels are open season for good reasons. I would say 20 feet (about 6 yards) is optimal range for pest control with Gamo factory shotshell ammo. This is a very light gun and well designed.

    Things I liked:

Works great as either shotgun or rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer heavier shot shell loads. I reload with a piece of egg carton cardboard 1/3 of a cleaning pellet 18pieces of 7.5# shot another 1/3 of a cleaning pellet and egg carton i cut out with a hole punch. I get good patterns at up to 25 yards and have no problem. I would not take more than a chipmunk with the factory loads. You can even shoot skeet with it but you have to be quick to do so.

    What others should know:

Pay attention when you close it. Keep the barrel down so the shells don't slide up and catch the seal.

    Things I liked:

It's really nice for a smooth bore. I was afraid non-diabolo pellets like Crosman penetrators would tumble because of the air pushing behind it, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it hit my mark. Out of all my pellet rifles, this is one of my go-tos when I want to try a crazy new pellet or something. I like how the barrel spine is also 11mm and flush with the dovetail rail going down the whole top side. I used a Beamshot under barrel mount to attach a laser sight and zeroed it using a laser bore sighter. I've been on a custom Crosman deep dive lately and I pulled the Viper Express out recently and I was all like, wow this big ol' thing here is a beast. It's no magnum piston, but it's a different animal with a different vibe.

    Things I would have changed:

It only has a front bead sight because it's a shotgun, and that's cool, but finding a rear sight in case I want to use pellets at any decent distance is really hard. I've been through all kind of aftermarket sights like Truglo shotgun sights, flip up sights and so on. I may get a match grade rear sight for my Crosman and maybe that will also work for this, but I've resorted to using an under barrel laser sight. There was also a piston version of this but it's been discontinued. The springer is just fine though. I really with there was more development on Gamo's end when it came to the Express series such as different rounds or airgun models, but this was about it.

    What others should know:

The shot shells can be fun, but they're kind of silly. This may be marked as a shotgun that uses shot shells, but I feel like pellets are where it really shines. It's a pellet gun that happens to take shells, not the other way aroind. I believe Gamo miscategorized the shells as hunting shells. I'm no hunter, but I'm 95% sure that these are more of a novelty that should be nowhere near animals. That alone may have given this shotgun a bad name, but hopefully after reading this you'll have a different expectation than some of the bird hunters I've chatted with in airgun groups online.

    Things I liked:

Affordable. Decent power. Easy to use. Very low noise. Medium-to-wide spread shot.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

This is a nice air shotgun for the price. It seems to have good power in the 50 feet or less range, which is good for pest control and plinking. It has a medium-to-wide spread, which is exactly what I wanted. It's also very easy to use: single break barrel action and ready-to-go. It's not going to do the job of a regular shotgun, of course, but if you need something fairly quiet, for example, you're shooting early in the morning or where neighbors are close by--and you want something that still has decent power for small tasks--this is will probably do the trick. I'm very happy with it.

1st Gamo I have purchased and I love the weight and ease of the break barrel. The trigger feels good and the gun shoots accurate. Most of my guns are wood, but I like the synthetic composition of the rifle!

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe supply some .22 cartridges for the shotgun purposes.
