    Things I liked:

The gun is very realistic. Its weight and build are very good. The magazine design works well. I have fired approximately 500 rounds and have not had any issues. I have fired Crosman, Daisy and Sig pellets all lead and it has functioned perfectly. CO2 use is about what I expected, 60 to 70 shots and the power starts to really fall off. The gun has nice blowback response to keep you thinking while shooting. Site picture is good. Overall gun is fun to shoot, well made and very accurate replica.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm not sure I like the trigger. You can feel the advance of the belt in the magazine prior to each shot and it has to be fully released to advance the next pellet. The next issue the gun shoots low and not just a little and being the sights are not adjustable you have to change your site picture or point of aim. I tried the lighter pellets but had no significant change in accuracy. Windege is fine. And last, no lock back on last round.

    What others should know:

This is a great addition to your collection of handguns used by the US Military. It fun to shoot and great to look at. I have punched a lot of holes in paper for a lot less money with this gun, don't have set aside valuable time to go somewhere to shoot and have the enjoyment of shooting.

    Awesome air pistol

I like everything about this air pistol. It's my new training tool when I can't get to the range.

  • Rating 1.01.0 1.0

    Not good.

Based on your reputation I thought it would be a good peace and what I got was an air pistol that doesn't shoot farther than I can spit. I haven't had time to talk to anyone about if it's defective or I'm using poor quality ammo. Some advice would be helpful.

WOW. I love this pistol. The looks, the feel. the weight, the accuracy.

    Nothing

    What others should know:

This truly is as close to the real M-17 as you can get. I own many guns ( powder burners) as well as 7 pellet and BB guns and this hand gun is the most fun to shoot. It doesn't cost much to fire , doesn't make a lot of noise, and is accurate as h__l,

Excellent quality and design; one major failure.

I have had the M17 for several months; it is an excellent quality airgun. It shoots a bit low, but...so what? It does so consistently, and is easily accounted for. There is also the "file method" of sight-adjustment (go SLOWLY...it is a one-way ticket!!!.) With respect to belt jamming, consider two solutions: Make sure the pullets are pressed ALL THE WAY into the belt tube...a micro portion of the pellet skirt above he belt level can jam it. I also have the Sig MCX rifle, which exhibits the same problem, if care (or the factory loadng tool) is not used while reloading. Get the factory loading tool, for sure (It does not come with the M17, oddly.) I did encounter one (major) failure, and the gun is on it's way back to Sig. One of the other commentators on this board also experienced it, also. Specifically, upon reloading the CO2 cylinder, a sudden, catastrophic release of the propellent occurred. It looks as if an O-ring may have blown free, either in the Mag, gun, or both.

    Realistic feel

I purchased this pistol to use to train new shooters. It has the functions of a full size pistol without the recoil. Recommend this as a great trainer!

    Shoots low. .177

Gun looks and feels good. I've shot nothing but SIG Pellets so far and really shoots low. Very frustrating!! I gave a 2 rating because accuracy to me is the most important. It also goes through air cylinders pretty quick.

    Just great air gun.

I purchased this a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised at the feel and operation of this air gun.

    Things I liked:

Perfect for training kids and adults. Weight is very realistic for most. Sweet little kick.

    Things I would have changed:

For the slide to locked back for a better training tool.

    What others should know:

This pistol runs thru co2 so take your time shooting. Give this gun a try and for the price. You will not be completely disappointed like many others out there.

    Things I liked:

Looks and feels real. Accuracy, not so.

    Things I would have changed:

Something needs to be provided to get this air pistol to shoot closer to proper elevation. Out of two, both shoot 2 to 2.5 inches low at 5 yds. I was then told that was too close to expect it to hit the bullseye, that it is still rising! What? Still rising, So I moved back and it became about 4" low. I modified the front sight and now it shoots fine at 5 and 10 yds.

    What others should know:

Others have said the same thing about the elevation, therefore it's not me. Windage was good.

    Great Simulator, but problems...

Wife bought the gun for me for Xmas this year, & first impressions were great. I have experience the same jamming problems as others have with non-Sig pellets, so I switched to the Sig Wraith Ballistic Alloy pellets & that seems to have solved that problem - although it SHOULD function with most other brands. Also, just yesterday, I installed a new Sig CO2 cylinder & all the gas immediately blew out of the nozzle. Tried 3 more with the same results - have no idea why & will be calling Sig to get a resolution...

    Things I liked:

Get yourself a lot of pellets! Your going to need them! It's that much fun! This gun just works! Everything fits well and clicks into place as it should. The belt feed magazine indexes well the Co2 'system' works well and retains pressure when the magazine is ejected. The gun is a blast to shoot and pretty accurate to boot! But don't expect to use it for hunting or pesting. It is NOT very powerful. I have not chrony tested but I am guessing in the 400fps or less. I have had the pellets bounce off cardboard at 7yards. The field strip is easy and everything fits as it should. This is a nice feature in case a pellet should get 'stuck'. See comments below

    Things I would have changed:

It should come with more than one belt fed magazine! Those 20 rounds go in a hurry! Do yourself a favor and order a couple of extras. Sig sells them directly.

    What others should know:

While the gun is 'semi auto' there is a couple of catches. First if the Co2 cartridge is not brand new the power falls off sharply after 5 or so rounds so pace yourself. The trigger must be relaxed fully in between shots to allow the magazine belt to index. The trigger indexing the magazine results in a lot of first stage 'creep' but you will get used to it. Triger pull is just fine for what it is, a fun plinker. While it is a lot of fun to rip off 20 shots in a row be warned that once it falls off you take a chance of getting a pellet jammed and being unable to remove the magazine. But as mentioned the field strip is easy, the barrel releases with the push of a button. Problem solved.

    Feels nice in the hand

Bought this while I wait for my gun license to be approved since I've been thinking about getting the m17 got this to give me an idea on how it feel really like it and definitely getting the real thing once my license comes in

    Things I liked:

Nice looking gun! Really like the rotary magazine. And, the blowback slide is also cool.

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger pull is really long and you must release the trigger fully before attempting to fire the next shot (maybe it just takes a little bit to get used to. But, I've fired 120 rounds plus, and it still seems to be a "long pull"! This was my second M17. The 1st one was really inaccurate ( or so I thought)! shot 80 rounds of 6 brands of pellets at 13 feet which averaged 1/2 -1 inch low and 1/2 - 1 inch to the right (using a rest) and I shot another 80 rounds of 6 brands of pellets at 22 feet which averaged 2-3 inches low and 1-1.5 inches to the right (also with a rest). So, Pyramyd support was terrific (as usual) and exchanged the gun for me, no questions asked! So, I received the replacement and shot the same pellets one more time. Results were a little better: at 13 feet they averaged 1/2 inch to the right and 12-1 inch low and at 22 feet the average was 1/2-1 inch to the right and 1-1.5 inches low. This is the least accurate (by far) hand gun of the ten that I own.

    What others should know:

I own the Wesson 715, Webley, Walther CP88, Colt "Duke" Single Action, Beretta 92FS and this M17. I shoot at indoor paper targets (4 inch diameter circles with 3 inch, 2 inch and 1 inch circles inside the larger circle. Shooting the M17, I missed the 4 inch circle completely 32 times out of 120 shots. The most misses I had with the "other" 5 hand guns was 4 (the Webley) and 3 (the Wesson), the others had no misses! The pellets I shot were: JSB Diabolo Exact 8.44Gr Round point, RWS Diabolo Basic 7.0Gr Wadcutter, EWS Meisterkugein Professional 7.0Gr Wadcutter, JSB Diabolo match Exact 7.87Gr Round point, RWS Super H Field line 6.9Gr Hollow Point, and the RWS Meisterkugein Professional Line 8.2Gr Wadcutter. The "only thing" different from all of these guns is the Blow Back feature on the M17. I also have a P08 Luger BB pistol with Blow back and I took it out a fired 20 rounds into the same sized target resulting in 20 hits within the 2 inch circle. Its' not the blow back feature!

    Things I liked:

Great replica of the real thing.love the ability to field strip. Love the combination gas, belt clip.

    Things I would have changed:

Better accuracy at 10 meters, replacement magazines for purchase at pyramydair you can get the complete magazine and belt pellet holder at SigSauer website for 19.95 they are in stock and shipping is fast

    What others should know:

Accuracy at 5 to 15 feet is very good, a little low and to the right but that probably is my fault. That said my P226 is spot on probably do to it being a heavier gun, one that I have used many times while in the military.
