Things I liked:

Overall look and feel is impressive. Shoots hard, It's early in my ownership, but I'm at a 5" group at 33 yards. I might do better at lower fill pressure. It's a lot of fun to shoot.

Things I would have changed:

There is considerable difference in resistance felt loading different bolts, I wonder if that's affecting accuracy. They will probably break in if they don't get lost first.

What others should know:

A hay bale isn't going to stop theses bolts. A lesser crossbow target isn't going to stop them. I needed a target rated at 450 FPS. When shooting at full fill pressure the first five or six bolts really bury themselves in the target.

Things I liked:

Light, easy to carry

Things I would have changed:

I can't fill the air chamber. I'll change my review when this is resolved.

What others should know:

I own several PCP air rifles from Pyramid. My air compressor easily fill them. This Air Saber won't accept air and my compressor stalls. Anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

    Things I liked:

Being an avid archer and collector of vintage bows(all types!) and ALSO an air gun enthusiast who owns several air rifles and pistols, the idea of PCP "arrow rifles" intrigued me from the moment I learned they existed. After shopping all the makes & models that currently exist, I chose the AirSabre primarily because it seemed to offer everything any of the others offered but at a much lower price. I dont regret my purchase a single bit! The AirSabre is a very sturdy, acurate, versatile, fun rifle to shoot and offers plenty of rail space for whatever accessories flick your bik. The AirSabre shoots arrows at the same or better volicities and energies as any of its much higher priced competitors. Ive had no trouble with mine whatsoever. Charged it with a full tank of air upon arrival and it held its pressure for the several days it took me to get out & zero in the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

The proprietary arrows cost too much but that is the same for all makes & models of air rifles. Also, While a strap swivel can be attached to one of the front picattiny rails, there seems no easy way to attach a strap near the b. stock.

    What others should know:

Wish Id spent an extra hundred bucks on the double barrel version!!

    Things I would have changed:

Camo stock would be nice without increased price over $50

    What others should know:

Great shooter, my 11 year old grandson calls it the bomb an will shoot it as long as I keep filling it with air. I have taught him gun safety an he is very safe.

    Things I would have changed:

    safety is small

    What others should know:

pumped it up to 3200 psi by hand, took a little time, at 30 yards the first 3 shots hit a 3" target then it starts to go lower and needs to be pumped up again to maintain accuracy

    Things I liked:

oh boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shoots like an Umarex is expected to if you own some. weight is almost nothing at all. accuracy well you have to move the crosshairs so you don't waste bolts! It is capable of sending one on top of another @ 25 yds. I shot short range so I have this sighted in for 50 and less yards. In short get one you'll have a ball

    Things I would have changed:

trigger is a bit stagy stiff maybe put the gauntlet trigger on it-well that would make the perfect package

    What others should know:

fill it load it and have a really good back stop-then have fun

    Things I liked:

*Fit & finish. *Out of box accuracy (.33 inches at 25 yds). *Pressure retention over 72 hrs (Held steady @ 3625 psi). *Speed higher than advertised (average 5 shots 465 fps)

    Things I would have changed:

*Power adjuster: 3625 psi is adequate; however, max psi tweeked to 3750 psi would be better. (Please call for details). *Increase reservoir pressure to 4000 psi. *Lighter trigger pull. (reduce by 2 lbs).

    What others should know:

The overall functionality and power of the AirSaber was put to the test. This was an ALLIGATOR night hunt! The hide of a gator is tough and very difficult to penetrate. The UMAREX proved itself worthy. I had a green laser as my sight. Simple and effective. The first gator was killed with one shot penetrating the gator's neck, and cutting the jugular. It was 7' 2". I was stunned, almost, as the gator. It was an instant kill. The next gator was more of a challenge, over 11 ft and several hundred pounds. I stalked it for an hour before I could get a shot. I finally got a arrow in through the neck but not the jugular. Anyway, it was bleeding and the line I had on the arrow to a small bouy gave me something to track. I readied another arrow. In 15 minutes that arrow hammered through the lower back of the large skull. causing more damage. The last arrow smashed into the back of the skull, through the spine, and it was over. Many thanks to: UMAREX & PYRAMID AIR

    Things I liked:

I love this hunting survival tool. This is awesome. Any survivalist will want this. Theirs also a dual barrel version but none the less no matter what version you get, youll no longer worry about ammo. Arrows can be a kinda expensive but for what your getting its more than worth its value For every penny you put in to it. Dont forget to check your invasive species list of your state, you might be surprised what you can start out hunting now. Email your local fish and wild life and ask for a Huntable invasive species list that should only require a regular hunting license.

    Things I would have changed:

Honestly really happy with it plus you could Mount a laser for shorter distance and have your scope for longer.

    What others should know:

Dont forget to buy an arrow target if you dont have one or you could get a hay bale from a local farmer or possibly feed store. Happy hunting and practicing with this one.

    Things I would have changed:

A bit heavy for carrying through the woods all day. Trigger pull is about 2 lbs - too much. Maybe I can change it.

    What others should know:

I'm 78 and got a doctors authorization for "Disabled Arrowgun Permit" use, based on my age. I can now hunt during bow season (or any season) in Virginia with a super-lethal air gun. This opens up untold possibilities!

Buyers beware!!! I want to start by saying that I'm not one to write a review I purchased a Umarex Air Saber last hunting season (2020) after watching all the promotional videos of its supreme accuracy. After unboxing and set up, I could not get it to group to save my life. The tube that holds the bolt was pointing way off center and every shot hit the target at a different angle (if it even hit the target). I ensured my pressure was consistent, followed all steps in the manual, and remounted the scope several times. Once I determined it was not a user error, I sent it back and waited on the warranty process. Eventually I was told that it was fixed but when I got it back the tube was still off center and would not group. So, I sent it back a second time but this time requested a replacement. This time was told tube needed replaced due to faulty manufacturing. Received "fixed" gun but still same problem. Done with Umirex. Not worth the money.

    What others should know:

Don't waste your time or money.

    Things I liked:

This is a formidable piece of gear. I have been around archery since I was a young child, and I have never seen anything launch an arrow with such force and velocity. It is frighteningly accurate as well. After zeroing the bundled scope, three of us were able to place arrows at center bull consistently at the first try. The included optic works well and pairs nicely with the weapon.

    Things I would have changed:

What other reviewers have mentioned is true: the bolt is heavy, and the safety is fiddly to the boint of being irritating. I found the trigger quite good. The gun itself is loud, although certainly not 12 ga shotgun loud. The largest effort with the AirSaber is getting it to fill the first time. This is something of a procedure, and I recommend watching the several online videos before attempting the job.

    What others should know:

I am fortunate to have a property in a state that allows air gun hunting for all legal species except moose. I would be reluctant to take a deer with anything but the most powerful PCP rifles available, but matched with an appropriate broadhead, the AirSaber would certainly allow ethical shots out to 60 yards or so. For the price, I do not think there is anything on the market that can match this package.

    Things I would have changed:

I will get to that below with what you should know. My overall rating, which is necessary, is based on the particular arrow gun that was delivered to me.

    What others should know:

got 3 arrows and bought 6 more for a total of 9, 4 of them fit if you force them over the barrel, and I mean force- so tight I am afraid to shoot it in fear the arrow will burst, the other 5 arrows you would need a mallet to get down and I won't do that and if I really try pushing them I'm afraid I'd break the barrel. I've gotten in touch with Pymramyd Air, Ann, who has sent me a return label. I wanted to just exchange it but a refund is good, I might reorder but only if I can purchase a 10 shot test to make sure it's not another dud.

This is a new experience for me so was really excited upon arrival. As an avid long range shooter, have only shot to 60 yards but very impressed with the accuracy. Looking forward to extended ranges.

    Things I would have changed:

Surprised on the first few shots at how loud this is. Hearing protection has always been a consideration of mine. Your choice.

great gun. shoots like a missile it feels great and can not wait to use it on deer. It only took three shots to get the feel on it. For the cost of this gun I would highly recommend it. I love the price and the product so far. I just got it for Christmas and all my buddies are jealous.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is not very clear and is hard to see at 100yrds. The filling of this gun is not represented well. the cost of having an in-home filler is over $300 and the pump is not an option unless you want to work out before you hunt. I would like to see more options or suggestions for the filling needs.

    What others should know:

Buy this gun it is very cool.

    Things I liked:

THIS PRODUCT IS BEST REVIEWED BY AVERAGE AIRGUNNERS BECAUSE 'PRO' REVIEWERS WASTE TIME ON FEATURES NOT NECESSARILY IMPORTANT TO THE AVERAGE BACKYARD SHOOTER. NO USE DISCUSSING THE POWER OR ACCURACY AS BOTH ARE PERFECT. BUT OF MOST IMPORTANCE YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUTUBE VIDEO MAKERS ARE MUTING ALMOST ENTIRELY THE TRUE SOUND LEVEL OF THIS RIFLE. IT IS LOUDER THAN A .22 MAGNUM PLUS A 'TWANG' SOUND OVER TOP OF THAT TO BOOT. SENIORS NEED TO BE CAUTIONED THAT LARGER SCOPES, BIPOD FEET, AND MORE ADDED ACCESSORIES LIKE A RIFLE QUIVER ATTACHMENT BOOT AND RIFLE STRAP WILL MAKE THIS RIFLE EVEN HEAVIER THAN THE CLAIMED 6 POUNDS THEY QUOTE THE SABER TO BE. OF ADDED IMPORTANCE IS TO BUY THE 'CROSSBOW READY' TYPE OF TARGET BAG AS SOLD ON AMAZON. SEARCH EXPLICITY FOR 'CROSSBOW READY' AS THE SABER IS POWERFUL AND DANGEROUS AND MOST ANYTHING ELSE USED INCLUDING HAY BALE WILL NOT STOP THE SPECIAL SABER ARROWS OR IF SOMETHING ELSE WILL IT WILL PROBABLY DESTROY ARROW.

    Things I would have changed:

ATTACH ANY SCOPE SLOWLY AND NOTE THE SCOPE IS NOT TIPPING TO THE RIGHT AS YOU TIGHEN TO THE PICATINNY. THE SCOPE DOES AND WILL GO ON PERFECTLY STRAIGHT BUT ONLY IF YOU CONTINUE TO OBSERVE HOW IT IS GRIPPING THE PICATINNY RAIL. ANOTHER CHANGE I WOULD MAKE IS THE MANUAL PICTURE OF WHERE THE 'DE-GASSING' AIR VALVE SCREW IS. YOU WILL SWEAR IT IS NOT THERE AND NO IT IS NOT THE SCREW TO THE RIGHT OF THE AIR PRESSURE GAUGE. IT IS INDEED WHERE THEY INDICATE BUT SUNK DOWN INSIDE OR BEHIND THE FORARM COVER ... LOOK FOR IT BY HOLDING THE RIFLE AT BELT LEVEL AND STARE DOWNWARD RIGHT AT THE SILVER TRIM RING AROUND THE ARROW SHIELDING TUBE. THEN YOU WILL SEE IT. YES IT IS SUNK DOWN IN THERE BUT YOU CAN USE AN ALLEN WRENCH EASILY TO DE PRESSURIZE . TURN THE SCREW ONLY UNTIL A SMALL HISS BEGINS AND WAIT FOR THE GUN TO EMPTY. UNSCREWING TOO FAST AND TOO MUCH COULD BE CREATING A DEADLY SCREW 'PELLET' BULLET !

    What others should know:

MANY SEEM TO MISUNDERSTAND THE TERM '' PRESSURIZED'' OR ''PRE-PRESSURIZED'' . THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE RIFLE DELIVERS WITH COMPRESSED AIR FILLING THE GAUGE TO THE 3625 PSI THE RIFLE HOLDS ... NO AIR GUN SHIPS WITH AIR PRESSURE INSIDE.IT JUST MEANS THAT YOU YOURSELF PRESSURIZE THE RIFLE BEFORE YOU CAN SHOOT IT ... YOU WILL BE 'PRE PRESSURIZING' THE PNEUMATIC AIR TANK BY YOUR OWN PROVIDED SCUBA TYPE AIR TANK, A HIGH PRESSURE AIR PUMP, OR THE MOST FAVORED HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSOR . NO YOU CANNOT USE A STANDARD GARAGE TYPE 4 FOOT TALL TANK COMPRESSOR . THAT TYPE OF TANK IS ONLY CAPABLE OF 150 OR 200 LBS PSI MAX ... AMAZON SELLS A $230 HIGH PRESSURE UNIT THAT REACHES 4500 PSI ... THATS CORRECT ... 4500 PSI

    Things I liked:

This is an emergency review, due to a DEADLY FLAW in the safety mechanism. I have only unboxed the rifle and installed the scope, ensured there was zero air pressure, then cocked it and bumped the trigger with my finger by accident, and it 'fired'. The safety was ON, and it fired. The safety only works, if you pull STRAIGHT back on the trigger. Put the slightest bit of pressure to the left as you pull, and BANG! I tested numerous times, and it failed every time any left-ward pressure was applied.
