Description
If you value crystal clear glass, coated optics that enhance your view and the ability to see at almost any distance, then mount an Aeon scope on your air rifle. Plus, the Aeon Classic 10-40x56 scope has a longer eye relief than many other scopes. If you wear prescription eyeglasses, this scope should be on your short list.
The side turret for focusing is much more convenient than having to reach out to the objective bell. You can also get an optional side wheel for more precise adjustments.
If you're tired of so-so scopes that promise a lot but don't deliver, you're ready for an Aeon. As long as you're going to spend money on high-quality optics, get one that delivers top performance!

5 of 5 Aeon 8-32x50 AO Classic Rifle Reviews
The glass and the mil-dot reticle are some of the best I've seen on any scope under 1k. It literally shocked me how clear it was all the way up the mag-scale. The lens caps are really nice as well. I'm not really a fan of flip ups, but these fit really well and function as well as they fit.
Things I Would Have ChangedCant really say as yet, since the scope just arrived a few hours ago. This entire review is a "1st impression", but with that in mind I feel the turrets were a little underwhelming and didn't really match the rest of the scope in quality. The click with authority, but their a little cheapish in feel and it remains to be seen how they hold up. Since I mounted this on my 50meter PCP BR gun, there won't be many drastic changes, but if anything is gonna go wrong, this would be what I would be most suspect of. I'm certainly hoping this is just paranoia but, time will tell.
What Others Should KnowPyramyd is selling these scopes "AS IS" which is very disturbing to me since there's no information as to "why" that is the case. The scopes are not listed as "refurbs" but being sold as new. The one I got appears perfect, functions perfectly and once again, has better glass than either my BTR or my Sidewinder, so if it holds up, it's going to be one of the best bargain scopes out there and with a lifetime warranty, it's a no brainer. But (and it's a BIG BUTT) the question remains. Will Aeon still be in business to service the scope should it require service? Discontinued products often mean a company that's going belly up. For serious scope buyers, the 250 you'll spend is more than worth the risk if your circumstance is a favorable one. By that I mean, I wouldn't mount this on a springer or a gas piston, not because I have any evidence that it would fail, but because in my hands, those types of guns have blown through many a much higher quality scopes than this.
Other than the trajectory reticle...nothing. With crosshairs level the turrets were cocked about 30deg. Cloudy sight picture. Wouldn't focus at all. Didn't realize how bad it was until I put the Hawke Airmax back on...then I almost got pissed at how bad it was.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore honesty in advertising. This was absolutely the worst scope I've ever seen.
What Others Should KnowIt's possible I just got a turd. I really hate to think that what I got is par for the course. Sent back and bought a sidewinder 30. I'm done with Aeon.
Very good optics. Clear and sharp up to 32X. Clicks are crisp and positive. Focus adjustment is quite accurate to the yardage printed on the wheel.
Things I Would Have ChangedTurret Caps must be removed with an allen wrench, repositioned to Zero and retightened. Care must be taken to keep the turret in the proper position.
What Others Should KnowMy first scope had td o be returned, after 6 months of uses. It started losing zero. I contacted Aeon, received an authorization to return for warranty replacement, and 2 weeks later received a new scope. Excellent service!
good scope for the money, happy with optics.
Things I Would Have Changeda lock ring for the objective lens. include an allen wrench to re-zero the turrets, plus include instructions w/ specification in the box.
