Are you an airgun sleuth looking to pick up some free Bullseye Bucks?
Here are the benefits of the IGT over a metal mainspring:
Gamo USA states that this gun gets 400 fps (and Gamo traditionally provides velocity figures for alloy pellets, not lead pellets). However, airgun writer Tom Gaylord tested the P-900 with Gamo Raptor PBA pellets (5.4 grains) and got a whopping 508 fps! For a 10-shot string, he got an average of 490 fps. As a result, our velocity figure for this gun does not agree with Gamo's claim.

Looks and price
Things I would have changed:Made mainly of plastic and possibly a .22
What others should know:This is an air pistol for a beginner. It doesn't have a lot of power or good distance but is accurate out to about 20-25 ya yards. This is not a pistol to eliminate pests...even the smallest of ones. I purchased because of the brand name and price but to me it seems to be made very cheaply

I am trying to find the barrel length as well as the overall length of the pistol. Anyone know?
It's 12.60" long and the barrel is 6.25" long.
Hey PA ... You say that the "Smooth Action Trigger (SAT)" is a "2-stage adjustable trigger" and one customer says there are no adjustments at all. You say that the rear sight is an "Adjustable fiber optic rear sight" and the photos that you provide pretty much say something else. Would you check this out please? By the way, what exactly is a "smooth action trigger"?
Gamo's 2014 catalog shows the "Smooth Action Trigger" logo next to this pistol and states that it has fiber optic sights. Their website still says it has fiber optic sights (but they obviously changed their mind according to what I see in the pictures), but it says it's a two-stage trigger with an adjustable first stage. I'll change our description. (The SAT is a crisp, adjustable trigger that breaks like a glass rod -- it's a huge improvement over their previous trigger.) Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
does anyone know how much foot pound of force this little sucker produces?
I only chronod the cheap beeman hollow point and my cabin is at 5000 ft elevation and I get average 300fps at muzzle...my kids red ryder does about 280 fps..so safe ballpark lead pellet ft lbs is about 2 ft lbs at muzzle..the ft lbs will be more for the pistol due to heavier pellet but expect red ryder like fps...still very happy with pistol tho and as Tom and Edith mentioned his test with alloy ultralight pellets was fast but youll probably average between 300 to 400 fps max with lead pellets at lower altitides..as an aside,,my prayers go out to Edith right now with medical situation.
3.1 foot pounds of muzzle energy.@ 508fps.
It takes 30 lbs. of cocking effort. I can cock a P17, but I can't cock this gun -- at least not more than once! I can cock a rifle that takes 30 lbs. because of the extra leverage, but this pistol is hard to cock in my book.
