No matter how you use this gun, it's going to deliver some authoritative knockdown power!
If you like to hunt or have some pests (squirrels, rabbits, grackles, prairie dogs, possums, woodchucks, nutria, etc.) that are destroying your garden or property, the Hatsan BT65 QE (Quiet Energy) air rifle will take care of them. This air rifle delivers a blow that humanely dispatches small/medium-size critters.
If hunting isn't your thing and you just want a powerful air gun, then look no further. You'll get lots of shots for hours of plinking--sending pellets through planks of wood, beating up tin cans and 55-gallon drums, and popping paper targets.
Hatsan uses lead pellets to determine their velocities. These are going to be by far more accurate than alloy or synthetic pellets and are probably the type of pellet you'll be using.

|Scopeable||Weaver & 11mm dovetails|
|Suggested for||Small game hunting/plinking|
|Muzzle Energy||52 ft/lbs|
|Max Shots per Fill||27|
|Cylinder Size||255 cc|

I like everything about this rifle. I would not change a thing. There is nothing I did not like about it the accuracy the speed incredible.Things I would have changed:
I would not change a thing
This is a strong strong 25 Cal. Hit's like a dump truck full of bricks. it is accurate if you hold it right if you put this thing on a wrestler of bench hundred yards is no problem.Things I would have changed:
It's heavy but there's really no way to drop weight without putting cheap components in the gun.Hatsan needs to redesign these powerhouses to get rid of these pellet picky wheel mags.What others should know:
Mine is a non QE but it's identical they just put the moderator on the end of that weapon. Mine with a wolf airgun moderator is quieter than my 30 caliber QE carnivore.You cannot stick any and I repeat any type of pointed projectile in these wheel mags they will hang up and you are going to have some fun getting it all back apart. So you can put hornets, poly mags and metal mags out of your mind with this gun! If you want to shoot those in 25 caliber you better buy a Flash!

I like its adjustability, the way it feels in your hands, the trigger.Things I would have changed:
Their barrels suck! Mine isn't as accurate as a rifle like this should be. I've tried well over 30 different pellets and slugs. I would love more than 20 shots a fill.What others should know:
Only JSB exact jumbo and monster redesign work ok, with the jumbos being best. I feel that these rifles should be getting ragged single hole groups at 30 yards not 5/8" and larger groups. I have tried SOO many different pellet, hammer, regulator settings with this rifle. I polished the barrel with JB bore paste after slugging the barrel and feeling how uneven they are. I gained some improvement to get the groups mentioned. I even had Hatsan send me another barrel with no improvement. A person should not have to spend this much extra time and money on one of these and still not be happy with it. My last PCP nearly 20 years ago, a UK 12ft/lb. Titan FN12 would stack pellet on pellet at 30 yards. Im considering buying a lothar walther barrel but how much more time / money is enough? I can't decide whether to cut my losses / frustration and put my hard earned money into a rifle that will shoot right out of the box or keep going and get the LW barrel and another reservoir?
