5 of 5 Hatsan PCP Regulator BT65 Reviews
I like the idea.......but it just doesn't seem to be working.
Things I Would Have Changedsize! This thing is extremely large compared to some of the other 3rd party regulators out there. Seems to take up a lot of volume in the cylinder. About 18 shots is all I can get out of a 3000 psi charge. Very difficult to remove once it's installed.
What Others Should KnowI assumed this would deliver a more consistent air volume/pressure, thus resulting in a more reliable velocity thru out the usable range of the air cylinder. I've got over 100 shots in my BT65 with the air regulator in and still receive highly erratic shot groups. 5 Shots will be dead one, with the following 5 shots falling about 6 inches low at 40 yards. The bizarre thing is, the next 5 shots will be back on target (without filling the air cylinder)! I also had trouble initially filling the tank (with a pump) as the main seal seemed to leak air until about 500 psi were in the tank. It doesn't leak over time though. Took everything apart and re-installed. Seems to have helped the initial leak when airing up the cylinder, but still a small leak until I can get 10 or so pumps into it. Going to give it another chance at the range and see if the reliability improves. If not, it's coming out! I'd rather have a slow, steady drop in velocity/range rather than erratic changes.
THIS ONE WORKS TOO!!!
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowTry it, you'll like it.
Installs easily, and definitely provides more consistent shot placement.
Things I Would Have ChangedNoting that I can think of.
What Others Should KnowSince the air cylinder has to be completely emptied to install the regulator, if you use a hand pump expect about 260 strokes to fill it to capacity. I had to do it in stages...
All that are curious to what improvements the BT65 Class regulator will make for the .25 cal with the regulator set at 125 bar and hammer spring adjusted. I had my Bt65 .25 cal done and it's finished on its way back to me shooting 870 fps @ 42 ftlbs. Once I have the air rifle in hand I will post full shot string. I was told 870 is my new high velocity.
Things I Would Have ChangedPost numbers before anyone buys the regulator, it seems like that would only be fair I was told my Bt65 .25cal was the first that the regulator was installed. Also contact the owner once the air rifle is tested to see if the regulator is still something they would like to have instead of just shipping it out.
What Others Should KnowMaybe it can be adjusted to get better numbers I don't know I don't work on air rifles which leaves me at a disadvantage.
Maybe the 125 bar setting is not the optimal setting for the .25 cal but the service was only $25.00 which I would
have paid more to get the best out of the regulator. So I really don't know what the regulator is actually capable
of doing. But I do know @ 125 bar @ hammer spring adjusted you should also get 42 ft lbs and 870 fps in your
.25 cal Bt65.

I guess its supposed to keep consist air
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it more powerful I have two air cylinders for my bt65 I'd much rather have it unregulated one in the gun, my unregulated cylinder puts out around 830 fps with 44 grain my regulated one does like 720
What Others Should KnowI love pyramid air but this was a hundred dollars wasted, wish I never bought it, don't do it thing sucks n the only reason I kept it more then 30 days is cause I was told it will kick in after so many shots,I hear air supiriority has the one, if I was pyramid air I'd discontinue
