8 of 8 Norica Storm Classic Reviews
Good quality materials, ok trigger, nice weight, easy, smooth cocking (short stroke), good workmanship and attention to detail, great value for the money, very nice looking, nicely finished stock., pretty accurate out of the box with fibre optic sights. Nice not having to replace the trigger first thing. Its a pleasant shooter with a smallish kick. Looks real nice mounted on the wall in my gun rack. I know you can get cheaper guns with cheap scopes and other come ons because I have a couple of them, but this is a really nice rifle and , for the price, an honest bargain.
Things I Would Have ChangedMetal trigger and guard would be nice. Maybe an optional bull barrel. And definitely, an option for a nitro piston. But for a buck and a half, its fine just like it is.
What Others Should KnowBarrel seemed dry enough out of the box. Some of the joints in the cocking
mechanism were maybe too dry and cocking it produced produced some
minor creaks and groans, initially. But a drop of lube here and there and
by 50 or so shots, cocking it felt almost as smooth as my nitro piston Benjamin..
While not too heavy, it feels solid and well-balanced in the firing position, making it easier to hold steady while aiming than my Diana 48. Like all springers, there's a little recoil, but this one is quick and quite tolerable. The overall quality of the gun is very pleasing. There's nothing cheap about it except the price.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe stock is a little thin on either side where it's slotted for the lever, however, I'm sure it won't be a problem if the wood is of good quality, which it appears to be. I would also have made the rear sight adjustable without tools, like the one on my RWS. Both of these are minor concerns.
What Others Should KnowA well made break-barrel air rifle at a great price.
I did not vote on accuracy since I have not yet sighted in the gun, but I get the impression from the few shots I've fired that this baby hits hard!
Nice looking, well made, accurate.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowIt's a light gun with some recoil. Get an airgun proof scope with a one piece mount. The trigger is OK. Good for plinking and hunting. A lot of gun for the money.
I chose the .177. One of the nicest Out Of Box rifles I have purchased. And, I purchased many. The stock and metal finish among the best. Accuracy is as good as the looks. Nice trigger, too, and adjustable. Not pellet fussy. No shotgun patterns with this rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedThis is fine the way it is.
What Others Should KnowIf you don't watch it your fingers can catch on the stock the way it dips down in front while cocking.
The Norica has a nicely finished wood stock, good metal polishing and blueing. Muzzle break adds to the overall esthetic appeal of the rifle. The gun is easy to cock and has a smooth firing cycle.
Things I Would Have ChangedI might change my mind with more exposure to the Norica, but right now I can't think of anything.
What Others Should KnowThe Norica has a fairly good trigger for an AG at this price.
accuracy, stock , fit and finish, build quality. Tin of pellets packed with gun!
Things I Would Have Changedmake a model without sights. Instructions need to be more specific about lubrication.
What Others Should KnowI have had the Storm for 2 days, and have just over 100 pellets through it. It likes Beeman H& N high speed match pellets, shooting them into a.244'' hole ,at 12 yards. The barrel was resting on a cushion, the stock against my shoulder. The breach is tight, and some pellets are difficult to load. This gun compares closely with my R W S mod 34, and may be more accurate! Overall,I think the Norica Storm is an excellent buy. Lynn
Attractive and comfortable stock. Nice metal finish and bluing. It looks good on a wall rack with some nice classic rifles. Superb fiber optic open sights. I shoot at 25 feet in my home with a brick fireplace behind the pellet trap, but I rarely hit outside the black 8, 9, and 10 center rings of the NRA official 25 ft. target. The muzzle brake/noise dampener makes a comfortable handhold for cocking.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing in the design for the money. There was a very small nick in the stock on the right side, but It was not worth sending the gun back for.
What Others Should KnowI'm an accuracy fanatic, but I don't have a lot of air rifle experience so I don't know what to expect. I've gotten sub 0.5 inch groups of 5 shots fairly often, but I'm flummoxed by the occasional flyer that's off by an inch. Shooting from a rest, I don't know if it's the gun or a rogue pellet. My accuracy rating of 4 may be unfair. I don't know.

European Beech (France) wood stock, action/ spring tube/ barrel/ trigger and trip / sights...made in El Reino de España. Low effort in cocking the rifle ...yet it will deliver a powerful shot down range! (poor bunny). Slight recoil, butt pad covers that issue very good....Great addition to my collection!
Things I Would Have ChangedI just don't like ballistic grade plastics used for trigger blades...But it works very well
What Others Should KnowThis airgun is a excellent value for the money, here you have a "all European" constructed gun with no made in China parts (Diana! did you hear that...Mod 34 to 52) . I bought my first Norica in 1985 from a small hardware store in Torrejon de Ardoz, Madrid...Still capp 'n critters with it!!
