I like everything thing about this knife but the tip. It is simply too thin. So, as a "field knife" it wouldn't have worked for me, because everyone including me was hard on their gear. I'm going to use it as a dive knife because the sheath is excellent. But even for that, the tip is too thin. Everything else about the knife is excellent
I am delighted with the customized Recondo I purchased as a gift for a young man recently admitted to West Point. Approaching my retirement I wanted a gift to symbolize continuing the tradition of service. This knife was a great choice as it is both functional and symbolic.
I am a great fan of good quality, durable and sturdy fixed blade knives. SOG is one of a handful of my favourite manufacturers, and this Recondo hits the mark, again. Small enough to EDC in the small of my back, thick enough blade to do nearly anything with it. This is a part of my EDC kit now.

Excellent knife and sheath. I like the fact the knife sheath can be moved to any angle and the knife itself is of a thin design. Making it able to set close to the body.
