7 of 7 T4E Walther PPQ M2 CO2 Paintball Pistol Black, .43 cal Reviews
The PPQ is exactly like my 9mm Walter PPQ. So Training with the PPQ .43 will translate to the 9mm PPQ. That's a very good thing. Trigger time that cost less is always good.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe Trigger pull is very heavy. A lot heaver than my 9mm PPQ. Wished they could make it have the same trigger pull has the 9mm PPQ. Not a fan of the CO2 tool being inside the hand grip at all. It is to small do really tighten down the CO2 cartage. The empty mag has a good weight to it. so be careful when you hit the mag release. It is spring load and will fall out of the gun very easy. This is a problem because the top of the mag is cheap cast pot metal that will break if it lands on the mag wrong. and the mags are $44.99 each. The mag release is right under your shooting hand thumb (right hand shooting), and it is way to easy to release the mag.
What Others Should KnowI did not get ammo for the PPQ but I have a 3D printer and just printed up some PLA .43 cal ball ammo. This gun will send my 3D printed ammo through 7 layers of good cardboard from 12 foot away. I put boxes inside each other with air gaps between each box. the last or 8th layer stopped the round. I got this for training for the 9mm PPQ and for a pepper-ball deterrent system.
The pistol has a good weight, solid in the hand. Fairly accurate up to about 25 yds. Mostly easy to use. Like that the mechanism is inside the magazine.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe magazine is WORTHLESS unless all you're planning to shoot until the CO2 runs out. Unlike most other paintball markers, THIS DOES NOT HAVE the quick pierce feature. Essentially when the CO2 needs replacing you must remove the magazine and have an Allen Wrench handy, or a six sided extractor to unscrew the piece that holds the CO2 cartridge in place. BIGUS THAT IS, considering the gun with this regular magazine hits about $200 with tax.
What Others Should KnowYOU WILL NEED TO BUY A QUICK PIERCING MAG TO BE ABLE TO REALLY USE THIS. THOSE ARE $49.99 EACH. Now you are spending around $250, plus tax for a pistol that in my opinion is not worth more than about $129.00, period.
This is another good air gun replica to have. It has a good weight, clear yellow round sights with adjustable rear sight for windage, it is blowback and stops after the last shot. It is precise at 5 yards (didn’t try longer range). The white warnings are covered by your right hand, so it is not too bad. Picatinny under rail. The magazine is easy to load and has a base plate with the licensed marks. It is not field strippable but you can disassemble it.
Things I Would Have ChangedTo be field strippable, to clean in case a paint or powder ball burst inside.
What Others Should KnowThe Riot Balls PVC/Nylon (0.9075g-average, diameter 10.85mm) were the most accurate, all inside a 2.0-inch bull in a rapid fire with laser and they have a good punch. The T4E Gen 2 rubber balls are the least accurate and requires cleaning the barrel (0.7475g, d=10.75mm). The Riot Balls PVC/Steel (1.905g, d=10.90mm) is less accurate than the PVC/Nylon. Didn't try paint neither powder balls. With good power I got 52 rounds per CO2, max 56, which is good.
Don't let the magazine fall on the floor.
Good. Put a hole in a Bucket about 15 away. Dont know how to upload a picture.
Great service and fast delivery . The gun is a good fit and weight (when loaded )for my hand. Trigger pull is a little long. Sites are bright and easy to see.
Things I Would Have ChangedExtra mag and test ammo would have been nice even at a small price increase.
This is my new favorite co2 pistol! I have been shooting .43 cal/13.3 grain Riot-Balls which are injection moulded roundballs made of nylon/PVC. Chronograph testing had highs around 425 fps and averages around 410 fps! They are very smooth and blast out the smoothbore barrel much faster than paintballs or rubber balls. accuracy is reasonable from 10 meters and the discharge sound is quite loud, plus recoil is the snappiest I have ever felt from a Co2 pistol! I bought 25 expensive carbon alloy steel balls that cycle in this gun, but they are a heavy 5 gram ball that chronographed around 170 fps. I have two magazines, one is the "emergency" mag with button on the bottom for piercing the Co2 quickly. I don't do paintball, but I do love this big bore air pistol!
Things I Would Have ChangedI am not sure, I am still loving everything about this amazing Co2 pistol!
What Others Should KnowShoot safe and stay safe from covid19.

What a hoot! This is accurate (under 20ft), a solid, quality build. Has an adjustable rear sight (windage only), but found mine very accurate out of the box and haven't bothered. Easy to adjust apply a bit of Kentucky windage as the Co2 settles in. Also luv the simplicity and ease of loading .43 rubber balls (magazine has locking follower. Not to mention the ability to just wash-off and re-use (I use a deep pellet trap, recover nearly every one), I suspect my jar of T4E balls will be a life-time supply. Like that it comes with extras, barrel squeegee, extra magazine spring, and Walther logo case (albeit, not as high quality as case with CP88 / CP99). Like the CO2 wrench built in to grip, but you might find you get better leverage using a 6mm Allen wrench. Slide locks after last shot.
Things I Would Have ChangedA CO2 charge indicator like on the T4E HDP50 would make this perfect. Minor quibble, a case of better quality, more like the cases with the CP88 / CP99.
What Others Should KnowBe aware that unlike the .177 PPQ M2 (and many replica air pistols), the only safety on the T4E PPQ is the trigger safety. I also purchased the Quick-Change/Charge CO2 magazine, also high quality, but have to bang the heck out of mine to get it to puncture the capsule (and no indicator on the pistol, unlike T4E HDP50). I'm an avid .177 replica pistol collector, thought I'd give a .43 air pistol a try, and so glad I did. Really pleased with purchase and how fun this is to use, it sparks much joy :-)
