Diana Stormrider/Bandit Regulator

  • Aftermarket regulator upgrade
  • Fits Diana Stormrider PCP air rifle and Diana Bandit PCP air pistol
  • Fits Gen1 and Gen2 Stormrider
  • Output pressure settings range from 100 BAR (1450 PSI) to 150 BAR (2175 PSI)
  • No drilling required
  • Includes regulator, mounting rod and O-rings

Tech Tip: When installing this regulator into a Stormrider, the factory pressure gauge will show the regulator pressure. Adding the PY-A-9034 / DIAP-SR-66 fill valve and gauge assembly will allow you to monitor the fill pressure of the rifle once the regulator is installed.

Please Note: The pressure indication scale on the regulators is not always exact. Our technicians check and set the regulators to 130 BAR (verified with a regulator tester) before shipping.

Up the consistency of your Diana Stormrider air rifle or Bandit air pistol with this dedicated regulator from Altaros Air Solutions.

Things I liked: It works (eventually)

Things I would have changed: Have the dial set properly before shipping. Mine was exactly 180 degrees out. I wasn't sure which way to turn it (C.W./C.C.W. to get it where it was supposed to be. It took two tries to get it right.

Things I liked: Performance results (excellent). Easy user installation. Allows tradeoff of Shot Count vs Velocity.

Things I would have changed: Nothing. This is a great regulator and one that is a vital performance addition to the .177 cal Stormrider. This device delivers as promised.

What others should know: My Stormrider is a .177 cal. I cannot speak for the .22 cal version or for the Bandit. However, my experience with the .177 cal is that without the regulator I was shooting pellets at velocities of 1021.5 fps with 10.49 gr pellets on average and of 1107.5 with 7.4 grain pellets. The highest velocity I found with 7.4 gr pellets reached into the 1100 fps range (1124.5 fps, actually, at one point). Since the speed of sound is 1125.33 fps, 7.4 and lighter pellets are very close. After installing this regulator, my average velocity dropped to 761.52 fps w/10.49 gr and 832.5 using 7.4 gr pellets with SDs of 6.49 and 6.30 respectively. However, these speeds were maintained through a 19 shot range, which was 50% of the 36 shots (4 magazines) to 100 bar. My pellets were H&N Barracuda Hunter 10.49 and Crossman Premier 7.4 Wadcutters. For the .177 cal Stormrider, I would call this regulator not only a great addition, I would call it a necessity.

  • Billy from USA asked:

does it help to install a 2nd barrel band to stabilize the barrel??

    • Andrew from USA asked:

Anyone have a suggestion for a starting setting for the reg on a .22 cal Bandit? I punch holes in paper and are looking for accuracy vs power. I know there are many variables to this but do not want to reinvent the wheel. Thanks in advance. This is a great community. Everyone stay well.

      • Mark from USA:

Set the reg at 120 Bar/ 1740 PSI.This seems to be the best setting on the reg.

    • Kevin from USA asked:

If I degas my gun to empty, will I be able to refill it with my hand pump?

      • Mark from USA:

        Yes
