.22-cal. Ruger Impact Max Air Rifle by Umarex
Looking for an affordable, value-packed gas-piston air rifle kit that's equally at home in the back yard plinking, dispatching nuisance wildlife or humanely taking small game? If so, this might be just the kit for you.
Introducing the Ruger Impact Max from Umarex in .22 caliber. Boasting an ambidextrous hardwood stock, rifled steel barrel and breakbarrel action, this gas-piston operated powerhouse slings alloy pellets downrange at up to 1050 fps and led ammo at speeds of up to 875 fps, Umarex reports.
The Impact Max is outfitted with patented Umarex technologies like their SilencAir sound moderator, Lockdown all-metal custom mount, TNT (turbo Nitrogen Technology) gas piston, and integrated Airgun Shock Reinforcement (ASR) to help soften the effects of recoil on airgun optics. It comes equipped with a Picatinny mounting rail, plus ships with a 4-32 scope and mounts. So it's ready to rule the range right out of the box.

Things I liked: I like the feel and look of the wooden stock (one reason I chose this rifle) The rifle is a bit heavy which is good/not so good. I know this sounds funny because it's weight makes it feel very durable and strong, but may wear you out it holding it too long. Using the right ammo and sighting it in and I got this to shoot right where I put the crosshairs. The only real error is my shaky holding techniques lol. Trigger pull for me seems fine about as crisp as I ever used.
Things I would have changed: Possibly a magazine would make it even faster shooting which may increase the fun factor. The breaking of the barrel is a bit tough at least until you get used to it.
What others should know: This rifle is still new to me (under 100 shots) but I would recommend, a great rifle for the price so far. Maybe not for young users because of weight and breaking the barrel.
Things I liked: Once sited in its pretty accurate and Ive only fired about 50 rounds so not even close to broke in. As far as difficulty cocking many people complain its too hard, I have no problem, its not a kids toy so I imagine a younger child would have difficulty. So far Ive enjoyed the rifle.
Things I would have changed: Nothing so far
What others should know: Better than expected
Things I liked: This air rifle feels like a regular rifle, weight and stature :)
Things I would have changed: Nothing...fine as is :)
What others should know: Takes a bit of arm strength to cock it but well worth the results :)

Does the Ruger Impact Max have sling keepers? I looked at a shooters review of this air rifle and it had sling keepers, but I don't see any on the pictures of it on this website.
The Ruger Targis Hunter Max has swivel studs Ruger Targis Hunter Max .22.... The Impact Max does not.
IS THIS RUGER IMPACT MAX ELITE, THE NEW MODEL OR THE OLD MODEL . ELITE OR NOT ELITE
It appears to be pretty much the same gun. They have dropped the Elite from the title.
