Tanfoglio is an Italian firearms manufacturer whose guns are distributed in the U.S. by EAA - the European American Armory Corp. The Tanfoglio brand specializes in air pistols, BB guns and accessories. Tanfoglio was founded just after World War II in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, which is in the province of Brescia. The town is also home to the Davide Pedersoli company, which is known throughout the world as one of the premier manufacturers of black powder muzzle rifles and breech loading firearms for competition.
The production of Tanfoglio firearms started with gun parts. In the early 1950's, "Fabbrica d'armi Tanfoglio Giuseppe" was founded and started to produce replica guns, as well as firearms they designed in-house. The first of these was the Tanfoglio GT27. Over the years, other Tanfoglio handguns were produced including the T95 9mm Witness, the T95 10mm Witness, the Force 99, the Match 10mm and the Gold Custom. Most of the 90,000 pistols they produce each year are exported around the world.
The Tanfoglio name is well known in competitive shooting circles for its Witness pistol models, as well as among collectors and casual shooters for its Witness 1911 series pistols.

This Co2 BB pistol features an 18 round bb magazine that also holds the co2 cartridge. It uses standard 12-gram co2 cartridges to send bbs down range at 320 fps through the smooth bore barrel. As you might expect, it's a .177 caliber and fires 5.2gr bbs as fast as you can pull the trigger.
It is a single-action, semi auto pistol with realistic blowback and fixed sights on the front and rear. All metal construction means it's durable and reliable. The bottom line is that if you want a realistic 1911 replica, the Tanfoglio Witness 1911 CO2 BB gun is as close as it gets. Even the slide locks back when you fire your last bb. Not many 1911 replicas do this.
