If you are putting this on an air rifle, just realize that you’re mounting it to a piece of plastic. The “receiver” is just a piece of plastic with a brass nut. The mount did its job 110%. The rifle did not hold up to the challenge.

Not the fault of the mount, but I needed to clean up the threads on the receiver with a metric tap before the mount screws would start.

This high quality Venturi M-14 Scope Mount System fits perfectly and effectively on the Venturi Springfield Armory M-14 22 cal pellet rifle. I While the open sites of the rifle are very suitable for plinking, target, or plain instruction on sight alignment and sight picture for a target shooting student, the scope mount allows putting a hunting scope on the rifle for Starling elimination in the back yard. I waited a couple of months for this to come back in stock and the wait was worth it. I tried out an M-14 scope mount I purchased on Amazon, but it did not fit the pellet rifle, so I sent it back. Pyramid notified me when the Venturi mount was back in stock and I immediately placed my order. It attaches perfectly and solidly without any modification to the stock rifle.

I like everything about the mount. Fit and finish are outstanding! It was easy to install on my rifle and fit my wood stocked under lever M1A .22 air rifle like a glove..rock solid. It does take a little bit of finessing to get it adjusted just right and it sits a bit high (no big deal) but that's just the nature of the design of the M1A rifle and mount relationship, nothing to do with quality of the weapon or the mount. If I can do it anyone else with a little bit of mechanical skill ought to be able to as well. Once set appropriately it absolutely holds zero great and I have not noticed any shift in POI since I have installed it on my rifle. It is a quality made full metal piece and very durable. Probably never wear out. Buy two of them..I did at the near give away price of them just to have an extra one on hand!

I cannot think of anything I would change about the product. It was a lengthy wait waiting for the manufacturer of the product to get them delivered to Pyramyd Air but that of course was beyond Pyramyd's control and once they arrived there I received an email immediately from Pyramyd Air letting me know the product was available again if I was still interested. I had signed up for the notification list. I made my order and it didn't seem like maybe three days or so and it was on my doorstep. Very fast delivery.

Pyramyd Air is a fantastic company to do business with and an EXCELLENT provider of air guns and related products! The customer service is second to none. I buy from them frequently and have for many years. I have never had any issues with my purchases or the quality of their customer service. I trust them implicitly. Lol I hate filling these things out but I will for them because they deserve it.

The mount fit like a glove!! You can use the open sites too with this mount.

The dove tail piece that comes with the mount DOES NOT fit this gun !! It's made for some other gun. This mount fits several other guns ! It's easy to put on too !

Make the threads in the gun that the screws thread into a bit sturdier. They pull out some.

Scope shoots low. Rear ring will need shimmed. That's because the mounts high to the barrel. Common with m14 and m1a as well. Once you get the mount set leave it and buy a second rifle if you want to use the sighted rifle without a scope.

This concerns fitting the scope mount to the new Springfield M1A. Fit is dead on, and she stays tight, rail is good for regular Weaver rings, rail is long enough to allow positioning for correct eye relief with full size scopes, the mount has a trough on the bottom side to allow use of the iron sights with the scope mounted. Rifle weighs a bit over 12 pounds with mount, 4x12 scope and sling, which is about what the the designated marksmen variant of this rifle weighs, so is good for training.

Instructions are not included, so would add them. Long story short, if you know M14/M1A mounts getting it right is easy to understand. If not done right it is going to be lose and not accurate. Basically, start the sperate spacer into the mount. Then tighten the forward screw into receiver until tight. Then turn the spacer into the mount until it just meets the hole provided in the stripper clip guide, then turn the rear screw assembly in place till tight. Use a piece of paper as a feeler gauge, the bottom rear of the mount should be snug against the receiver, just forward of the rear sight, lets you know it is square.

24 Sep 2018. Monday. On my same order from Pyramyd Air for the Daisy/Winchester M-14 CO2 .177 Cal air rifle, I ordered this OPTICS Mounting Kit.. ALL made of nice finished metal. I managed to get it mounted A-OK, after some careful adjustments here & there at the rear Large Thumb Screw assembly parts.. A small metal part (with a small Allen Set Screw) slides into a plastic part of the rifle just ahead of the rear Peep Sight Assembly.. It was a (too) loose of a fit. I HAD to make a small shim to to take up the space between the OPTICS Kit's Metal part and the Air Rifle. Not too hard to do. In the end-game it held in place to the rifle with the Allen Set Screw snugged up.. After that was done, the installer will need to use the wrench supplied in the kit to adjust the left to right angle of the OPTICS Mount with the barrel.. If not done, the eventually installed Scope will need to have too much Windage left or right adjusted on the scope. Regards, Richard M.

The mfg company of this OPTICS Kit, needs to make that small metal part with the Allen Set Screw the correct size to fit the M-14 CO2 Air Rifle.. Would be better than making and installing a homemade shim.. IF this KIT also fits other rifles, then several correct size parts to fit all of them, needs to be supplied with this KIT.. Eventually, and with the scope mounted, the zero of the scope was great.

After the complete install, the M-14 CO2 Air Rifle's factory installed Peep Sights can still e used.. That's real nice..

It allows a scope to be mounted on the Winchester M14 BB gun

I found that the main mounting screw is a bit short and does not reach the internal receiver threads to give a solid fit. I had to do some judicious filing on the rear of the mount to get it down to a point where the threads of the main mount screw could catch. I also had to apply a dab of locktite red to insure that the threads stayed engaged.I also had to peen the base of the stripper clip base mount to widen it out enough to get a solid fit in the receiver. The fit was loose enough that when the set screw was tightened down ti actual cammed the piece forward and initially forced it out of the dove tail slot.

With the mentioned modifications it is not a bad mount. Perhaps the manufacturer could make the modifications to the stripper clip mount and lengthened the main mounting screw.

It looks nice on the M14 air rifle. It's low enough, but it's also high enough to allow the use of the iron (plastic) sights.

No Allen wrench is supplied for the rear dovetail block and none of my SAE wrenches fit, so I'll have to go through my metric ones. Another option is to just drill and tap it for a larger size set screw. Also, a spacer block needs to be fabricated to fit between the dovetail block and the rear of the mount, so that the rear screw will not pull the dovetail block sideways and therefore change the windage setting.

Besides the little bit of shop work required as described above, I LIKE IT!

Very reasonable cost, fit is tight no wobble. Adds some needed weight to rifle.

The rail itself is made excellent,the base block,was very loose in my Winchester modle,but made a small shim,now snug.

The shorter of the two hand knobs was to short for Win.modle,used a screw on bottom front mount hole.if the nobs were both long,you could always shorten one,with a Dremel.

On Winchester modle,takes some tweaking to get it flat and sqare.I don't know about air venturi modles
