I got a .22 caliber Refurbished model. Everything is great, but it could be a bit lighter weight. So far, like my wood stocked Avenger in .22, this groups 1/4" or better at 20 yards. I added my own 3D printed barrel band and rear picatinny support, the Donny FL adapter (to center the barrel in the shroud), and an A.E. Swede trigger sear tuner, and topped it with a Vortex 3-18 x 44mm scope. So far, both my avengers do not seem to be pellet-picky; I will have a better idea if they are once I start reaching out past 50 yards, which I have not done yet. The bullpup is much more single-shot-tray friendly than the rifle due to the scope being forward mounted. The plastic stock has a good finish and fit, and seems very solid; the only difference I notice from the wood stocked Avenger is that the plastic stock transmits more noise through it upon firing; the wood stock really dampens noise well.
Things I would have changed:Make the bottom picatinny rail removable - being molded into the stock does not make it as shooting rest friendly as it could be (the side rails are removable). Get rid of the noise transmitted through the plastic stock. Better internal shroud noise-suppression and a threaded shroud cap to accept a moderator.
What others should know:I got a refurbished rifle in .22 - the first one leaked, which was not caught in doing the 10-for-$10. PA took care of the issue and luckily, had another refurbished .22 to send me; this time I not only paid for the 10 -for-$10, but also paid for the 24-hour leak test - so far, this one is not leaking at all. The refurbished rifles (both of the ones I received) look like new and unused, I would not hesitate to buy another refurbished gun from PA.
Unlike my wooden stock Avenger, I did not have to shim the picatinny rail (I ended up making my own 20 MOA pic. rails for that rifle); after measuring with a caliper, it appears to already have a slight downward slope towards the muzzle.
Don't hesitate to pay extra for the 10-for-$10 and the $10 for the 24-hour leak test; it is worth it to make sure you get a good working airgun. Un-suppressed, I would not consider this back-yard friendly.

The gun was a great shooter right out of the box. I probably have 300+ rounds threw it and now it's a tack driver. Dime size groups in 22 caliber at 50 yards!!
Things I would have changed:I installed a barrel band and it greatly helped with POI , they should come with the gun.
What others should know:My gun has some regulator creep after setting for a couple of days which causes a POI change on the first shot. I always fire one shot before hunting with it or a trip to the range. Great, GREAT gun!!!

I own a Gamo 22, an AEA sf standard 30 cal, and this in bullpup 25 cal, this is my favorite one. Sure the AEA semi auto is fun, but this little guy is so accurate and so dependable!
Things I would have changed:I wonder if the 210cc tank would fit mine? Shot count on my setting is about 30, I get about 70 shots from my AEA. So I would increase the tank size but I think they have in the newer models.
What others should know:I use only JSB 34 grain pellets and can shot through the metal on a washing machine, every shot. They, hit, HARD!

Supported well by Pyramyd Air and Air Venturi but mine had accuracy problems that could not be resolved.
Things I would have changed:Make it consistently accurate.
What others should know:Started out shooting tight and accurate groups. After a few weeks, changed drastically and out of 10 shots, 6 would be in a tight group and 4 would be scatted diagonally and horizontally. I tried every possible setting of regulator and hammer and 13 types and weights of pellets, over a day and 1/2. Could not get consistent tight groups. Pyramyd Air and Air Venturi tried everything possible to assist with this problem. This is a heavy and top heavy airgun. Not very compact or comfortable to shoot. I found customer support to be excellent and responsive. Accessible as well, but accuracy issue could not be r resolved. I returned for refund under their 60 day satisfaction guarantee and bought a different Bullpup.. Pyramyd Air is the best airgun supplier bar none. I recommend that one not shop anywhere else.

Very inconsistant
Things I would have changed:Accuracy
What others should know:I have tried 4 different pellets. 3 different settings. the rifle is not consistently accurate until under 2900 psi. shoots all over the place. will not buy or recommend. I have 4 other pcp rifles, from cheap to expensive. This is by far my worse purchase.

Value and features. Stock quality considerable improvement over synthetic rifle.
Things I would have changed:QC. Gun doesn't hold pressure. Loses@ 500 psi every 2 days. Checked gauges and applied thread sealer. Problem continued. Had to buy O ring kit online for $18 and will disassemble to repair leak.

Was leaning right-sided on knife edge. PA put up refurb special for $260 free shipping. While I was thinking, 3 sold, 2 left. Hope that last guy got a good one. This cost less than Benji NP Trail XP in .22 for a .25. Easy to tune, already lots of mods available. Some very good,some-meh.Now that I have a RovAir, I’m gonna get to start getting this puppy dialed in. Rifle has already impressed and has been missin’ on two cylinders. Tomorrow, 300 bar and 2300 psi on jsbhades and diabolo.
Things I would have changed:Already did most of it. Bonacci carbon fiber cocking handle, barrel ban brace and rear Pic rail brace. Donny FL barrel brace/moderator with Buck Rail silencer(sloped model). I put a Hawke Vantage 3-9x50 on it and works like a dream of the humid variety. Good strap and Allen bipod. This gun is tall and somewhat top-heavy. Might make offhand a bit of a challenge,’specially on a variably windy delay. WOOD or LAMINATE STOCK and as an aftermarket part. I would by a r-w-b one tomorrow... .,;’*^#.. semi-auto????
What others should know:Don’t try cheap-out low price Chinese comps. I did. Has cost me 5 weeks(eons) before serious shooting. If you’re thinkin’ . “Is it REALLY worth 300 gitas more, especially when iI want some more candy.) Like a Ferarri runnin’on 2 bad plugs, pay for the tune up and don’t look back. Gonna try some squirrels and ‘coons in the next fewweeks. Might even go after some river bottom hogs’yotes and ol’ Robert kittys soon

Love this gun, plenty of shots per fill at optimal power.
Things I would have changed:Iron sights would be nice but my scope makes it a dope sniper rifle.

Purchased a refurb at an awesome price and did the 10 for $10 deal and so far there are no leaks and shooting quarter size groupings at 50 yards.
Things I would have changed:The company should have installed a rear brace on the Picatinny rail.
What others should know:I wanted to purchased an Air Venturi Avenger refurb .22 when they first came out from P/A but I took too long to order and it was sold (snooze U loose), so I purchased the .25 new for $300. So when I saw this Bullpup in the refurb bin I snatched it up along with the 10 for $10 deal just so I wouldn't get a leaker, because I did the 10 for $10 on my .25 and it's been leak proof and dead on for years. Theres nothing perfect in life besides my Savior Jesus Christ but with the 10 for $10 deal it's pretty dam close, and like I said above so far there are no leaks and the riffle is dead on at 50 yards with tennis ball groupings at 100 yards. I just want to add a little NOTE to my review by saying IF YOUR BUYING FROM ANYONE ELSE THAN PYRAMYD AIR YOUR WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY......

Great gun for the money.
Things I would have changed:Regulator kept creeping on me once gun was filled over 3000psi
What others should know:Had my regulator creep 300psi within an hour. Had my reg set to 2900 and once gun was pumped to 3000psi or above my regulator would start to creep. Had to return the gun. Got a replacement and same issue. Pyramid air took care of it. Great customer service. Might give it a go later on.

This gun has changed the game. It is THE BEST pcp bang for buck rifle on the market. Crazy accurate, super smooth, light weight...Lots and lots of power, which can be tuned down to give even more accuracy and shot count. It's insane what this gun offers........regulated power, tunability that's super easy, smooth shooting, multiple mags with holders, and a lot more. I kind of kick myself sometimes when I think about I bought a gamo magnum for nearly the same price as this..... like what was I thinking. lol. No more arm-aches from 50lbs of cocking force, no more unstable accuracy from heavy recoil, a lot less weight so that i can shoot off the bench, way better accuracy, way more power (if I want it)....just everything so much better, it makes me feel stupid for owning a break barrel. And for those who say you don't wanna have to worry about air on a hunt, you can turn the reg down and get 115 shots per fill and have as much power in the "Eco" mode as any magnum has on its best day.
Things I would have changed:Nothing much other than maybe an extra factory barrel band. That seems to be the most common thing people buy right out the gate. I know keeping cost down is what makes this gun so special, but I wouldn't think a band would change that much, but i'm not a manufacturer, lol.
What others should know:What's also extremely special about this gun is that it's not "pellet picky". No need to worry about if it will like your pellets.......it will, lol. What's so special about that is you can save so much money and headaches, and get added convenience. You want the cheap crossman domes at your local walmart?..... well she'll shoot them like they're JSB hades, lol. This gun is something special. Don't think twice on this one, it's a no brainer. This gun can compete with any pcp out there and save a ton of money in the process. After owning this masterpiece, I'll never buy another break barrel again, and on top of that, I'm not sure any pcp below $1,000 if even worth my time, lol.

This is about the .25 version. Short length, high power. One hole accuracy at 10 meters inside. Fits me well. Number of full power shots per charge is around 50 in .25 as supplied. Magazines are pretty easy to load, comes with two. Would suggest getting another, stock has two storage slots, so one in the ready slot, two for later. Haven't played with the regulator adjustment yet, another thing I like. Also has an air bleed screw when it needs working on. Not needed yet. Hammer spring is also adjustable, so plenty to mess with for those that like tweaking. Get a chronograph first. Has a standard male QC fitting for filling under the tank end cap, no special filler probe or fitting needed, just a standard female QC. Hill pump hooks right up.
Things I would have changed:LOUD, out of the box. Moderator adapter bought and will be used. Current stock version does have a short baffle stack screwed into the barrel shroud, nothing fancy and not that effective. Trigger out of the box is meh, doesn't keep it from shooting well. Will be adjusted/modified in the near future. With it scoped, cases are hard to find, width on most tops out at 12", with the scope, mine is 13+. Trying the Benjamin soft case. Rest on the forend, not barrel shroud or air tank, causes fliers.
What others should know:Have viewed a number of videos on this gun in use in the field, results are impressive in .25. There are some aftermarket magazines that can hold up to 29 pellets for those doing varmint hunting. There are a number of other suppliers of components and accessories as well out there to customize. Do do the 10 shots for $10, cheap insurance against having to do a return. Mine came with a sheet showing 1000+ fps with a 25 gr pellet, very impressive at this price range. You WILL need a firearms-rated backstop with one of these. Other than finding a carry case, have had no issues so far. Go with JSB King Heavy pellets, those seem to be the choice of the video hunters, shoot well for me. Have a Hill hand pump right now, takes a LOT of pumps to get it in to shooting range from empty. But can be done, with proper form and rest stops. Have a compressor coming in the next week or so, so won't be such an effort to shoot going on. Excellant balance of features and price.

The AVA bullpup is absolutely the best regulated PCP for the money. The build quality, easy adjustability and accuracy is simply amazing and the ability for me to easily tune the gun is awesome. My current tune for my backyard 25 meter range is, regulator set at 1900 psi and 2.25 turns in on the hammer spring and I get a consistent 880 fps with 25 fpe with H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66 grain pellets. I'm also getting 60 shots before falling off the regulator going from 4350 psi down to 2000 psi. I'm certain I could get another 25 or more shots after falling off the regulator. I highly recommend Buck-Rail for a $24.00 suppressor and $20.00 for the barrel band.
Things I would have changed:If possible I'd ask Air Venturi to add a wood stock version and move the side lever closer to the middle of the gun, these modifications would make the gun perfect but I'm sure it would add a significant cost to a moderately priced airgun.
What others should know:I only buy my PCP airguns from Pyramyd Air, superior products at good prices and fast professional service! Buy the AVA bullpup, you won't find a better regulated bullpup under $400.00! I'm currently shooting a .22 bullpup and plan to add the .22 rifle later this year when the weather warms up.

I don't really like anything about it, its bulky, it is heavy, and it doesn't fit well in a gun case. It is impossible to shoot this gun accurately without some kind of stand or supporting it on a sandbag etc. etc. etc.
Things I would have changed:If the weight and the bulkiness could be changed, thats what I would change
What others should know:I cannot comment about the accuracy because the scope was not placed correctly on the gun. The first time I shot it it was shooting 6 inches high and 4 inches to the left. I paid to have the scope mounted and sighted and at this time I believe it was a waste of money. I only paid $20 but it was still a waste of money. I am really disappointed in this purchase

Lever action is smooth and makes the bolt action rifles obsolete. Very accurate with consistent velocity around 910 fps due to being regulated . It has advantages over the more expensive Walther in price, noise level of 93 db as compared to 105 db for Walther. It has the quick connection for fill instead of the external fill probe.
Things I would have changed:This is an excellent design. I can think of no additions.
What others should know:Works well with combination of bipod , green laser, and 3 x lighted retinal scope

I like the shorter gun for how I use them. I like the way air Venturi guns shoot, the side cocking, their clips, and accuracy except the bull pup.
Things I would have changed:The stock. The stock looks good until you remove it and find the thin plastic mounting bases that settle and give out. Needs to have a better designed mounting system. All Air Venturi air rifles should come standard with barrel clamps. Would like to see the stock only mounted in 2 places.
What others should know:This gun shot good for a short time then POI would shift all over. The way you held it started to matter greatly. The tightness of the rear stock mounting screw is critical to accuracy. I have owned two other Air Venturi avengers with the wood stock and really liked them. They would both shoot nickel size groups at 50 yards. The bull pup will do it to if you hold it just right. Buy the wood stock version instead of the bullpup. If I could buy the parts and pieces to convert this bull pup to a wood stock version I would do it, then the accuracy issues would be resolved. My bull pup is in .22 cal. and I’m shooting Hades pellets at 905fps, std dev=4.5 or I shoot JSB 18.13 pellets at 885fps. My dislike is how the poi shifts with how you hold the gun! It isn’t consistent enough to take hunting.
