I like how you only have to clock it wants to fire

This year was the first year I could get my 5 year old twin boys out whitetail hunting. I harvested a small buck with my Henry Big Boy 44 mag. My boys wanted a gun of their own. Christmas day both my boys got their own Barra 1866 Junior. "Just like Dads!!" was their response.
With a "range" set up in our basement we tested them out.
Pros:
Visually the guns look great.
They are accurate as you can get for a one pump BB gun.
How the gun functions is my favorite thing about these for teaching/learning. The hammer being the safety and needing to be "cocked" for each shot is awesome.
Cons: Minor and nitpicking but still there.
The lever pump arm is long and thinner, which is fine for me but time will tell with the boys how it will hold up.
Trigger is stiff for my boys...who are 5, so I take it with a grain of salt. I know it is a BB gun and doesn't need a competition trigger so this is a very small down fall.

Overall I am glad that I bought these. They are great learning tools for a young shooter. Not only are the guns great for enjoying shooting, but also have enough functions of a Henry rifle to learn life long firearm function, handling and safety.

Shoots straight & true - I like shooting aluminum cans, in my backyard, when I get the opportunity.

This is a neat looking rifle and it shoots well. It's easy for my son to operate and it also helps him remember safety with how it's set up. I definitely recommend this product!

Received this for a gift for our 6 year old. Though recommended age is 10+ he does great with our help. We hope this helps to respect and learn gun safety. Red is dead!

I recently purchased the Barra 1866 junior for my grandson i was kind of leary of the quality because the price was so good! But i was totally amazed at the quality of this air rifle not only the craftsmanship but it shoots incredibly accurate for a smaller air rifle i enjoy it just as much as my grandson! Me and my boy love to set up a shooting range in the backyard.

Purchased four of those guns three worked really well one would not hold air had it replace very quickly Now the new one we're not shoot straight at all bbs comes out spinning right and left

My son really likes the way it looks and shoots and that I can use either pellets or bb's.
I don't like that the pump handle sticks every time I try and pull it down.

The AirGun is good easy to load bbs and to Fire The pumping laver is long not like a regular BB gun
To load a .177 cal.4.5mm pellet is kinda hard unless you have tiny fingers. Besides that is an overall nice AirGun Riffle with a lots of safety

One of the best Air guns I could've picked for my son it's lightweight And Fitz in pretty good he enjoys shooting it and he just absolutely loves it

This is a very sharp looking Cowboy Gun. It goes nicely with my 2 Peacemakers to give the full Cowboy experience. I was a little afraid to cock the rifle initially. After reading the directions and following the procedures for cocking the handle, it seemed like it was stuck and would not cock. I was afraid to pull the level too hard, because I did not want to break the lever. After a few pulls on the level, it disengaged from the latch pin and I was able to get it to open correctly and now it pumps just fine. A metal level would be a good addition to this great looking Rifle. I love the octagon barrel as well. Shoots accurate and is fun. I bought the full kit, it comes with a target, some yellow shooting glasses, and BBs. Its packed extremely well in a very nice cowboy box.

Nothing I don't dislike really. Great price, well made. Will do just fine for my boys.

Product is decently made. I feel like the BB's could shoot a little further. I also feel like the pump is going to be the first thing to go on the gun, which might not be for quite some time. Other than that, this is a great starter gun. I bought two of them for my boys for Christmas. Great price too!

The only thing I would have liked would have been a white or distinguished site in the gun. Otherwise this gun is a great edition to our house.
