This is a very good looking rifle with good weight and feel. The plastic stock and forearm look very close to dark walnut wood. The plastic receiver looks like shiny gold metal - can't really tell that it's plastic.. The pumping lever is hefty cast metal. Easy to load a pellet into the chamber. Easy to pump 10 times - requires very little effort! Although the butt is shiny smooth plastic it doesn't slip inside my shoulder when shooting. Nothing about this rifle looks cheap. Quite accurate - shot 1/4-inch to 1" groups right out of the box. I like the 20" octagonal barrel and the fact that it is rifled. I'm glad that the rear sight not only adjustable for height but windage as well. Fun to shoot!
Things I would have changed:Make the phillips screw that adjusts the windage sight longer. Hard to get back in if you take it all the way out.
What others should know:I took a chance on ordering this because the price is so low I thought it must be low quality - I was wrong. I am pleasantly surprised that this is such a high quality air rifle!

I put the scope on and took it off right away fiber optic sights work very well. Could not shoot very tight groups with bbs. When I switched over to pellets found it to be very accurate.

I love this rifle, it looks very real, the color is beautiful and very comfortable to use, but what I love most about it is its old style, I feel like I'm in the old west haha. It is easy to load and you can use BB or Pellets I just love it.

This is very satisfying to shoot. It looks very nice even though it’s plastic I thought it would be made out of metal but it works very well. It is accurate and I hang it on the wall because it looks so cool anyway, I want my knife it says get a free knife when you write a honest review so I am writing an honest review. I love this thing I own real guns I also owned Pellet guns that shoot 1400 ft./s even though this is only 800 ft./s. It’s plenty powerful to be accurate, so yes I give this a 10 star rating.

its a nice rifle whit greate power It has very good components and has stunning color. one of the most impressive things is that it can shoot different ammunition from bbs to large pellets. I personally recommend this product since it works well with great precision for hunting small prey until an afternoon of fun

My wife bought me the 1866 Barra Air Rifle to practice shooting in the backyard. So far, so good. The 1866 looks like a .22 rifle I already own, although much lighter weight. Fun to shoot for some safe trigger pull, hand and eye coordination skills. Once again, Fun little plinker air rifle.

Not only does this rifle look great but it hits hard! I have been using it for Blackbird control and it has never failed to drop a bird with a single shot. I use pellets only and would recommend that others do the same because a steel BB will destroy the rifling.

Overall I like this gun. Easy to pump. Looks great. Fun to use. Took a little adjusting to make it more accurate but I would recommend the 1866.

I bought this air rifle couple days ago and I can see why this is such a popular company for air rifles. The quality of the rifle is top notch compared to other air rifles at this price point. Great little can plinker or target practice. The impact is extremely forceful. I mean it will shoot a hole through a can the size of a dime. Cmon that’s seriously amazing !!!! It does shoot a little high but maybe I just need to backup a little bit more ? 🤔 either way though Thank you to everyone at Barra Airguns ! I will be purchasing many more products from you in the very near future.

I have used nothing but Sheridan Blue Streak Air rifles. I bought this Barra shot it for the first time today and I will never pick another Sheridan up ever. Just a few tweaks on the sight and at 40 yds 1/4 inch groupings. This rifle is amazing accurate out of the box feels good and it is going to be my new go to air rifle. Love this gun it is amazing worth every penny plus what it cost. I highly recommend this air rifle. You just cant go wrong with it.
Things I would have changed:Shoot it sooner than I did had it a week before I first shot it. Actually nothing I would change
What others should know:If you do not own one go get one. I am going to go buy a second one for my daughter and when my son gets another year older buying him one.
