I recently purchased the 1866 Cowboy model rifle and I like it a lot. I weight the stock down alittle in back (it was empty and to light. Now balanced perfectly). Also got to figure a better way to put pellets in (not much space) but it shoots just fine. Recommend it to anyone, kids or adults!

I bought this air soft rifle a week or so ago, and I can confirm that is one of the best I’ve had. Besides the fact that it is a little bit heavy for an air rifle, the gun is excellent in every way. It shoots well, is durable, and it is pretty realistic. Overall, a great pellet gun for a good price too.

This air riffle is a lot of fun and works flawlessly. The ability to use both BB’s and Pellets is a huge draw - and, the easy safety option is an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Very good gun, great in the back yard for shooting targets. Very well priced. BBs load easy, but pellets are a little challenge to load. I really like the looks and the way the gun shoots.

Good shooting, light weight air rifle. Our son is extremely excited, and the rifle shoots well. He hit the 2" spinning target every time straight out of the box. We would definitely recommend it for young folks to learn gun safety with and beginning shooting.

I participate in a weekly BB/Pellet gun club with a group of seniors. We each have different C02 or pump action pistols and rifles for this activity. The Barra 1866 rifle is a great unit for the variety and range of our targets. Whenever I pump the action up to the maximum 10 times the range visibly increases. I added a tiny dab of white paint on the front sight, which helps overcome any issues of sun or shadow effect on aiming. I love the weight and balance of the rifle and the ease of using the safety. The BB's load easily and I haven not experienced any blank shots or jams. While the metal trim around the rifle is visibly impressive, its high gloss finish does distract on very sunny days. I would suggest the company consider a matte option for future development. Overall, its a great purchase and a great looking rifle.

Great looking gun looks good pumped 3 times and made good sound

I bought this gun a couple of days ago and I used it already. As my first air rifle I highly recommend to anyone who wants one that is light weight but is very effective. The loading and cocking process is very easy for someone who possibly never shot a gun before. I highly recommend to anyone.

Just bought this yesterday, it performs as expected. It'd be nice to be able to mount a scope on it though. Smooth action and it's perty.

Living in city limits is tough when you enjoy shooting guns. Now my son and I can target practice from home with him!! Beautiful gun and great workmanship.

I have now been with the 1866 for 24 hours now and boy am I happy to have this. I live in Texas and it’s currently 35 degrees with me outside plinking targets. I am so happy to have this!

this gun is cool the only thing i would like to see improved on is a stronger receiver material other than that everything else is groovy. the hammer that is the safety will put a groove on the inside of the receiver after being used. and will feel loose. other than that it is a great gun.

Best thing I bought to teach my son safely to learn to shoot and loving the style and color of this air gun. Would recommend this to anyone. Not only is the style great but the cost of the whole was phenomenal and affordable for anyone. Ammo as well is affordable and wide variety of ammo to pick from

Bought this today to cleanup some rats on the ranch. The build quality is solid and it has some weight to it. No shakes, rattles or squeaks while carrying around or shooting. Doesn't flex on you like some other rifles in this price range. Easy to use, holds enough BBs so you aren't stopping every 10min to refill it. Loading pellets isn't the easiest, thus the 4 stars, trying to drop a pellet in so it doesn't fall behind the barrel or magnetic pin is tricky but manageable. My big fingers won't fit to place it so I have to drop and hope it lands right. The trigger weight is right where I like it, slow easy squeeze. Let's me get up on it without pulling to the side. The sights are pretty accurate and it will reach out to about 30ft accurately with BBs and pellets and has enough behind it to deal with a rat. I highly recommend picking this air rifle up. It's a joy to shoot, easy to use and honestly looks dang good!

The first 1866 BB gun we ordered had a little issue, so we contacted the service department. They are top notch, went above and beyond to fix the issue. This BB gun was a Christmas gift for our son. It is both beautiful to look at and delivers a powered BB straight through soda cans, water bottles, plastic jugs, etc. Do not regret purchasing this BB gun, and will buy from them for a future purchase! The 1866 cowboy series is a well made airgun. Nice design, easy to operate, fun to shoot, at a great price!
