this a really good gun it has superior accuracy and power. i can hit a dime at 25 yards easaly with the scope included. the scope is easy to sight in.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

great gun i highly recomend it. works very well with gamo rocket pellets.

    Things I liked:

it shoots VERY close to 1000 fps with normal ammo and is very accurate, I hit a can at 115 yards with it but it averages nickel groups at 25. light and beautiful stock. very cheap for this powerful and accurate a gun. dependable, shoots with no problems in accuracy (excluding the scope).

    Things I would have changed:

the trigger is hard to use and pull (the two stage is crap), switch with the GRT III trigger. Rear ironsight is plastic, removable front sight (the green dot gets in scope view), didnt come with scope stop ring when picture did.

    What others should know:

if you dont want the green dot in the scope view, take a pair of channellocks and twist it 180º, when you get it, i suggest you clean and lubricate it. lube the chamber with crosman silicon chamber oil and shoot it several hundred times. Replace the scope because it is crap as well. Crosman SHOULD include a scope stop ring (mine didnt) because the scope, even with high quality rings it has moved back at least 1 inch, the reverse recoil will be hell to your scope. It is LOUD, about like a .22 so don't use it where you think people will hear it and think someone has been shot. I have had this for at least a year and I LOVE it!

Price, Butt pad, Good wood, Very accurate and lot's of power.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much except the iron sites.

    What others should know:

The Quest 1000 has a lot of power and my particular rifle is extremely accurate for a medium priced air gun. It will get the job done! Mine is also great for long range shooting. Picky about pellets. Doesn't care for the super light weight pellets. Mine likes Crosman Pointed mostly for average hunting purposes, but will shoot just about brand of pellet fairly accurate. Beeman coated wadcutters are deadly accurate at 35 to 40 yards as are the Premier Hollow Points.

    Things I liked:

Great air rifle. I've put 350 pellets through it and it is finally broke in. I agree with other reviews that the scope crosshairs dance around while sighting and is difficult to sight at times but it is still very useful. Muscle memory and position are key in this case. Great power and accuracy at 20-40 yards w 10.5 grain Premier pellets. Cleaning the bore is essential because once you start to run the bore dry, the performance lacks. I love mine...I call it Woodstock cause I also own the G1 Extreme and she's called Synthia, for having the synthetic stock. : ) Take your time with this gun and understand it requires some break in time and finding the right pellet you prefer...if cost is an issue, I reccoment the Crosman Pointed Hunter pellet, gives the best consistency for a budget pellet. When you unpack the gun, take some lubricating oil and give your stock a light coat....looks better and protects it too. Have fun and be safe.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger adjustment mechanism broke on mine right away...not sure what happened there, it could have been my over tightening it, so just be aware it is sensitive and or cheap construction. That said, I have adjusted to the long 2 stage pull of the trigger on my gun and we have had a love affair ever since. Nothing to change otherwise.

    What others should know:

I don't know what the lifespan of this rifle should be so my overall satisfaction will be determined by that. So far so good though.

Feels solid. Wood is decent quality. A+ customer support. Value for the price. Accuracy for a cheap rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

    better scope rings.

    What others should know:

Crosman customer support is awesome. One of my scope rings was damaged. Crosman sent me a new set very quickly. I'm really happy with this rifle.

    Things I liked:

This rifle with open sights is amazingly accurate. With it I took a rabbit (one shot to the head), 3 chipmunks (kill those buggers), a blue jay (way up about 30 yards in a tree), and a sparrow (15 yards). I live in a pretty residential area and it is quiet. I made a "shooting box", which is a cardboard box about 5 inches thick stuffed with magazines, and I can shoot in my basement with it. Just remember to check it often for wear.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope it comes with is useless!! I would pay 50 dollars more for it if it had a better scope, the one it comes with has a reticle that moves all over the place depending on your grip. If you want this scope bad make sure every shot is shot THE SAME WAY, or you will be mad at yourself. It is not your fault though, ITS THE SCOPE'S. Also, make sure to have a good scope stop because it gets hammered. The scope will keep shifting back and then it will fall off (don't get it in the eye it hurts). Which makes it very inaccurate. The scope rings it comes with aren't too bad for this, but treat yourself to a good scope for buying this amazing "bargain-priced" rifle.

    What others should know:

This gun is amazing for what you pay. Get it without a scope though and then buy a good one, such as a Leapers Bug Buster. I use Crosman Pointed pellets and I have no problem getting 1/2 in groups at 20 yards with open sights. You can achieve even smaller if you invest in a good scope. CLEAN IT OFTEN!!!

    Things I liked:

    Accuracy, Power, and Price

    Things I would have changed:

The gun needs a triger adjustment bad it has lots of creep but once you get the creep out its preaty nice. The open sights should also be removeable because you can see them a little bit in the scope....if they are im not sure how to do it.

    What others should know:

The acuracy was great after i switched pellets....I had a pack of old daisy flat nosed pellets i wanted to finish up and i was getting baseball sized groups at 15 yards out of them..... I changed to crossman pointed pellets and im getting groups under in inch in 10 degree weather with 25 mile an hour wind. The power is unbeliveable for how light the cocking effort is. I can get the pellets to go about 1/2 inch into dried firewood. The stock is really soft and it could be damaged preaty easily. The scope's crosshairs can be hard to see at times but other than that its a very nice scope. Its a great gun i was expecting alot but this makes me extremely happy. BE SURE to clean the gun before you shoot it. It was extremly dirty.

nice crisp grip.very powerful and it feels like the reel thing except with pellets

    Things I would have changed:

it took me at least 2 days to get the scope to fire accuratly. i did not like the breakbarrel load

    What others should know:

this is a greatvalue for money. and if you can afford it buy a better scope.

    Things I liked:

Nice stock shape, feels smooth. Barrel breaks easily. Very accurate, i've sniped birds from 50ft. The scope is great, anyone that says otherwise doesn't know how to use it.

    Things I would have changed:

Be careful!! The wood stock is semi-soft and damages easily. Other than that, nothing. Perhaps a sling option..

    What others should know:

I'd try using either Crosman competition wadcutters or Beeman coated hollowpoints, they've worked great for me!

    Things I would have changed:

the sight is out of place, you have to adjust it all the way to the left in order to hit your target, I think it came defective from the factory

    What others should know:

Once you have fixed up the sight you will have a pretty good accuracy

    Things I liked:

At a little over 100 bucks the price can't be beat! Weight feels just right for a hunting rifle. Stock is well shaped & finished nicely. Scope works well AFTER the rifle is broke-in. like most break barrels easy to load.

    Things I would have changed:

2 stage trigger is long & mushy. I replaced it with a GRT III trigger & now it's MUCH better. Check the stock screws right out of the box to make sure they are tight!

    What others should know:

NOT a beginners pellet rifle. Springers/breal barrels require diffrent tekniques for holding & shooting. Once mastered, accuracy is comendable. This is my favorite of my break barrels.

Accurate and powerful, Mine likes the crosman premier hollow points and crosman pointed pellets. Worked great for getting rid of a red squirrel problem in the shed.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock feels a little chunky, and is a much lighter stain than in the picture, but it still has a nice finish.

    What others should know:

The scope mounts that are included will slide, buy a leapers one piece mount and you will have no problems with the scope moving on you.

    Things I liked:

The gun cost $100 so the price is very affordable. Nice looking stock and bluing for low priced Chinese gun, good sights, impressive power and accuracy. The gun is light weight, well balanced and feels comfortable to carry and aim.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope stop does align with predrilled receiver hole. Stock could benefit from a few coats of lacquer spray finish to protect it from moisture and staining.

    What others should know:

Barrel needs to be thoroughly cleaned before firing to remove all the packing grease and residue. Initial cocking effort is stiff but eases after about the first 50 shots. The first few shots are loud but seems to calm down after about 100 shots. Use "Locktite" on all screws.

    Things I would have changed:

    NO

    What others should know:

This gun is a great gun for the price. Every gunner should have it in their collection .Its a little heavy.

    Things I liked:

Power and accuracy, especially after a good break-in and proper holding technique, artillary hold is absolutely necessary. There seems to be no noticable drop in tajectory from 20 to 50 yards. Wood finish is surprisingly nice for such a low priced rifle, and the blueing is nice and even.

    Things I would have changed:

GRT III trigger, plan on upgrading, because the factory trigger is heavy with a lot of creep and requires way to much concentration to achieve the potential I know this rifle is capable of. Scope and mount are pretty much junk, there is not enough vertical adjustment in the scope, but I suspect barrel droop is the problem, and the mounts that came on my gun needed allen screws bad on the rings. The phillips head screws on the rings cannot be tightened enough to keep the scope from shifting. The scope is very sensitive to eye relief and seems to be fuzzy at the highest magnification.

    What others should know:

Be patient with this one, groups will be erratic at first, but tighten up after a couple hundred rounds. The gun also gets quieter and easier to cock. Get an adjustable scope base to compensate for barrel droop and upgrade trigger and scope and you will have a keeper.

    Things I liked:

I used this for shooting rats and squirrels at a ranch. Its very loud and has quite a recoil for a pellet thing. The neighbors mistakes it for a .22LR when they heard it.

    Things I would have changed:

I would saw off the stock and part of the barrel, add another barrel and call it a shotgun. Just kidding. This thing already is the most high powered air rifle I own.

    What others should know:

Put something behind whatever you're shooting at if its a can or a bottle or something. I was shooting at a glass root beer bottle and the bottle shattered when the pellet hit it. It also made a nice hole in the fence. Also this thing blew a nice chunk out of a grapefruit, to give you an idea of the power behind it.

    Things I liked:

the weight is perfect for me i like the break barrel (no pumping ) the break is actually pretty easy maybe because i have long arms. the adjustable trigger, the stock the simplicity overall a good gun

    Things I would have changed:

the scope i have put a center point 4-16 power scope on it works great though i had to buy a 40 dollar riser mounts for the scope to fit on there it worked like a charm

    What others should know:

you have to pick the right pellets though make sure you get heavier ones the lightest i would get is 7.0 gr if you go any lower it gets inaccurate and the pellets tumble in the air. i put a drop of gun oil on the oring and around the pellet hole for cleaning purposes ive noticed it also helps with accuracy

    Things I liked:

i liked basically everything about this gun. For some reason i like heavy weight and strong recoil and this is what you get out of this sir rifle! once you have the scope sighted in you hit dead on every time.

    Things I would have changed:

    a more complex design

    What others should know:

When i first got this gun it was shooting as load as a .22 after the first day with it, it got much quieter and now im actually starting to see the pellet fly through the air. So if you thinking about getting this gun, get a Crosman silicon bottle to help with the compression.

    Things I liked:

the last review before mine was pretty detailed, so i dont have to much to say... i have only put about 150-175 rounds through it so far (i am useing Crosman wadcutters) and have noticed the acuracy getting better, so it will probably keep getting better as was said in the last review. (my rateing on the accuracy is kinda pending) this is a very nice gun for the price, and it looks pretty nice too.

    Things I would have changed:

not much really, the finish on the stock isnt very shiney, but is still looks nice. the trigger has to much travel at first, though this isnt a real problem, because it is easly adjusted with only a screw driver, and is explained in the manual. the front sight was mounted a little to the left, but could be compensated for with the wind adjustment. and the sights are plastic, so i dont think they would be able to take very much abuse, but that being said, the do work well enough. (but the gun comes with a scope, so it doesnt matter TOO much i suppose)

    What others should know:

i pretty much agree with everything it the last review, though i have only used Crosman wadcutters, and a few pointed pellets, so i cant agree (or dissagree) with the recommendations on what pellet to use. and also, it will be VERY hard to break open for a little while, when applying consistant force... though oddly, a quick downward knock on the front of the barrel (it doesnt really have to be very hard) with your hand will get it open. and it will keep getting easier as the gun is broken in. and i do find the scope to work well, it was nice that it came with the gun, just make sure its mounted right.

    Things I liked:

I love the overall quality of the gun. The stock is dull yet nice. I lacquered mine and it looks very nice with an expensive look and feel. I find the balance an weight to be good and it does not feel and handle it's price at all. You should know the gun will be very loud the first few shots, however after a couple hundred shots the oil burns and the spring and trigger break in better meaning it cocks easier and is much more consistent. I hated this gun at first as accuracy was awful but then found it to be amazing now. When the spring breaks in the rifle shoots very consistent with the right pellets and hold. Heres how to make it accurate: -Break it in for a couple hundred shots as it will suck at first until you do. I recommend cheap pellets at first just for break in. Don't expect much accuracy here. -Use only Beeman Kodiak 10.6g pellets. This gun loves heavy pellets and shoots like crap with others and I tried them all. -Hold the gun loose. Don't shoulder it hard and grip the front. Put it gently to your shoulder and rest it on your front arm about 3" in front of the trigger guard. This allows it to recoil freely as it needs. Also wrap your shooting hand thumb around the top of the pistol grip but don't hold with too much force. I went from crossman pointeds(7.9) shooting 3.5" groups at 25 yards to shooting 1/4" groups at 25 yards or better. I can not believe how accurate it is now, especially for the price. I got pissed yesterday because I fired 5 shots and only put one hole on the paper and couldn't figure out where it was shooting. I decided to pack it in and as I grabbed the paper I saw the torn whole that 5 shots went through. I was in total disbelief.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not change anything other than use stain or lacquer to give the stock a better look and make sure you adjust your trigger to take a lot of pull out of it. This is easy with a screw driver as it comes adjustable and the instructions show you how.

    What others should know:

This gun is great however you may be tempted to return it at first. Fire off 200-250 shots and then try Kodiaks and the hold I mentioned before you return it as I am certain you will change your mind. I have heard bad reviews on the scope however if mounted correctly I find mine to be very acceptable. I would like more zoom, but it is of good quality and very functional.
