Phone call was fast and easy delivery came quickly. What others should know:
This is a great combo. Scope mounts are solid Scope is very true, it makes the gun much better. Yes the 24 power is useful - it doubles as a spotting scope.
Love the gun, but I really haven't had enough time to settle myself down with it......, but it is coming. I am thinking slug liner, but really not sure what to expect (accuracy wise) Out of the box with 25 grain JSB's one minute of angle at 100 yards......Things I would have changed:
Only wish it came with a liner that would shoot both slugs and pellets. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.....
The mk2 version of the Impact and the impact in general is the perfect platform for the shooter that likes to be able to tinker with there gun. You can shoot it out of the box and most people will be very happy with its performance. You will equally be impressed by the ability to tune the impact for your specific needs. From plinking in your basement to long range slug sniping. Its Very similar to anyone that loads there own ammo for a powder burner make powder change amounts bullet weights. Etc. the impact can be like this it is an air rifle for the people that are not happy unless there is one hole in there target.Things I would have changed:
Only thing I would change is I would like to get a bit more power on the top end it is the perfect pellet pusher. But with the rise in slug shooting and the heavier weights involved it could use a bit more power. And maybe a .357 barrel kit. ; )What others should know:
This is the perfect platform for anyone that hand loads their center fire rifles for pinpoint accuracy. If you ever wanted to shoot an air rifle that brings you a very similar sense of satisfaction from one hole accuracy that you worked for to find the perfect combination. The Impact will bring you hours of enjoyment.
What a great PCP device. Spot on quality and consistent shot quality. Quiet enough to shoot in basement without wife raising any objections. Back yard is a lot of fun and I have a lot to learn with new scope and the dynamics of the pellet and distance. I can pick a fly off a Nat's arse in the basement target shooting, just need to get the rifle sighted in for all distances. My scope needs to be changed out, unhappy with scribbing the distance for each distance for the vertical issues. That's where I have the most misses. The number of shots per charge meet the specs. Just bought a new Venturi II which will get me off the hand airpump and I will shoot more.Things I would have changed:
Nothing. Love it as is.What others should know:
This air rifle is consistent. So sad I wasted $'s on all the other "cheaper" stuff. Got rid of it all. This is my primary and only rifle. I do own a Weirache 44 PCP pistol for quicker dispatch or whenever I feel like a pistol. It does the job. The FX is the main machine and don't think I could have a better target, match or long distance shooter than this rifle. Expensive? Yes. I grew up learning: you get what you pay for. There are more expensive guns but this is the best for the overall quality, accuracy and value.
Waited two months for the gun and it will not hold air and now I'm waiting for a code to come to me over the phone so I can send it back and get an exchange will follow up with an update when pyramyd air figures out what they're going to do 2049 is a lot to pay for an air rifle that don't hold airThings I would have changed:
Check to make sure that the guns hold are before you ship them
I was lucky to get 1 of the last 2 in stock at the time I purchased mine. Though the Impact carries a hefty price tag. I feel all the work of R&D and the popularity of these guns in the European market has put out some of the best craftsmanship and design possible. I have no regrets in this guns performance.Things I would have changed:
Nothing.What others should know:
If you have passion for shooting and small game hunting, the FX Impact will deliver high performance that will make you a better shooter.
just had the mk2 converson at fx usa done to my impact x night and day difference this is a must do if you have the standard impact x or get the mk2 impactThings I would have changed:

this is a must have gun
This gun as far as I can see is unmatchable in versatility & accuracy. when I 1st shot it I thought I paid $2,000 for this gun what the heck have I done. Well it just needed breaking in & after the barrel was broken in after about 2-4 mags went through it it started getting more and more accurate. Later on I found by a well known youtube airgunner by which he said clean b4 shooting it. By now I've run well over 500-750 pellets through it mine i purchased in .25 cal w/ a 700mm barrel. And it is a tack driver at 75-90 yards. I've mounted a Hawke 8-32x50 30 air III on it after that was broken in as of yesterday I just began to get sighted into and made enough mods in shimming it to zero it @ 75 yards this gun is capable of shooting accurately above 150 yards it makes 100 yard shots seem easy. This gun is flat out amazing; thus it is for certain the Mercedes Benz of airguns.Things I would have changed:
Make it more affordable which FX did with the Wildcat MK II.What others should know:
you can use other pellets they are shootable in this gun... just as long as they fit and will cycle and are accurate in other guns... they will do well. even if they are what FX likes the most which is JSB's and of course my Impact does like 'em too; but really like's MK II "heavy's." also like's H&N Hunter Extreme's a lot loves them pretty much; also Crow mag's wide HP's. the Skenco "deeeep Hollow's" they feed but not too well at the end of the mag's 'feeding well'. That's for now that's enough of smoke blowing up FX's breach's; but it's well deserved they know how to build a good PCP air rifle.
Tire of your old pcp that shoots good one day then like crap the next, just get this solve the accuracy problem. Yes this is very expensive but is absolutely a tack driver to say the least! Shooting JSB 18.1g from a rest 50 yards i can put them in less than a dime, and at 100 yards in a crosman premier pellet tin. With over 10,000 rounds it still impresses me every time i shoot it and functions as it did the first day i got it home!!!Things I would have changed:
Stronger or redesigned cockin block pin and linkage, adjustable cheepiece, butt pad options, optional height picatinny scope rail, larger fill port,What others should know:
Be careful with the cocking mechanism if its hard to cock dont force it, most likely it is the pellet probe hanging on the magazine if it is forced the cocking block pin will break! The sideshot large capacity magazine is a must have!!
