    Things I liked:

This gun is made very solid. The built-in sights are just fine, but I did buy a scope and I will mount it after I get about 150 shots through it. I have the .25 version and this thing has some punch to it. I used to shoot my .177 with a piece of 1/2 inch plywood at about 35 yards and it just stuck in the wood. On the other hand this Hatsan 135 .25 blasts right through no problem, so I added a metal plate in the back and that has managed to stop things after blasting through the 1/2 inch plywood on the way and putting a good dent in the metal too! As for accuracy, at first I was struggling and realized I was making the adjustments to the sights wrong. Once I realized my error and got back on track, I could not believe how accurate it can be. I had 3 shots inside of nickel close to the bulls eye. I'm 55 and in good decent shape and this thing will test you muscle but I think through working on technique, that will be fine. I can do it with one arm pulling but it can get sore quickly.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety feels a bit cheap, but it works, It just feels cheap as compared to the rest of the gun, which is solid.

    What others should know:

I bought the cleaning whips to clean out the barrel and beware. You have to straighten out the looped plastic as best you can to get it past the muzzle brake. It will catch inside and be a pain int the neck but with a little bending and patience it goes through and you can clean it. I'm going to see if i can find a straw or something to help with doing this better.

Good weight and balance, very accurate. Definitely not a backyard plinker. It's a beast to cock, (two hander with butt of stock on the ground).

This looks and feels, like a very, very well made Rifle. It has Turkish Walnut and German Steel, and you get REAL POWER, not just fake advertising!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, this gun is perfect and powerful. I call it my Turkish Cannon!

    What others should know:

I bought the 22 caliber version and its a great happy medium. The pellets are affordable and you can use it in the backyard as well as the hunt!

    Things I liked:

I just got mine yesterday. It was a Christmas gift and was on backorder. Pretty awesome gift. I've got about 50 rounds through it so far. Haven't put a scope on it yet but given what the recoil feels like I doubt that it will be too tough on scopes, unlike other magnum air rifles. It is on the louder side but not excessive. I am impressed how well it groups especially since isn't broken in yet. Quarter size 20 yard groupings with not much effort. The open sights that come on this gun are great and can be adjusted easily. The gun is heavy but it is well balanced and once shouldered the weight is surprisingly not a big factor. I have a Weihrauch HW90 which weighs about the same and honestly this gun shoulders more naturally. Haven't played with the trigger yet but I will adjust it. It does break clean and feels like about a 5 lb. pull out of the box. Fit and finish are very nice. It appears to be well made. I have to say it is pretty cool to shoot those big .30 cal. pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Not too much that I would change. The cheap plastic safety looks out of place on a gun of this quality. The one thing I would change and it isn't a huge deal is the rubber pad on the stock. The way it is sculpted to fit your shoulder makes it comfortable when shooting but this gun does require a fair amount of cocking effort and that's where the problem is. The easiest way to cock this gun is to rest the butt of the stock on your leg if seated or against your body if standing and grab the barrel with both hands. The ends of the pad are fairly pointed and it becomes very uncomfortable after several rounds. I will modify this is sort order. Like I said not to much I would change.

    What others should know:

I believe the weight of this gun helps tame the recoil. It is a very comfortable gun to shoot. Not a kids gun because it does take some effort to cock. This gun is powerful! Would be great for hunting and is a blast too shoot.

IT'S EVERYTHING I WANTED IN A AIR GUN AND MORE. DOES NOT NEED A SCOPE... BUT GOING TO PUT ONE ON. WOOD STOCK WAS PERFECT, LITTLE HEAVY BUT ADDS TO THE GUN OVER ALL. YES, I DO LOVE THIS GUN !!

MORE SELECTION OF AMMO AND AVAILABILITY....

    Things I liked:

Hatsan has created the first big bore break barrel and they have done it right. The stock is something you would find on a expensive over and under such as the Beretta Silver Pigeon. The bluing is even through out the solid feel is definitely and it shoulders great. I just got it today shot at least 50 pellets through it and the results are amazing with the tru glo sights I can easily stack pellets at 20 yards. The power is immense and unlike any other break barrel I have ever shot. The trigger is terrific way better than my Benjamin Trail NP XL .22. I have a 3-12x44 UTG scope that I will mount after the break in period is over. I can not wait to see what accuracy I will get once the gun is broken in and has a scope. This is a must buy for any avid airgun hunter or plinker. The cocking effort really is not that bad I would have kept shooting if it wasn't dark.

    Things I would have changed:

I really do not like the automatic safety I will have to get used to it on hunts so I will not forget and miss game. I wish they made a version with a thumb hole walnut stock I would buy one.

    What others should know:

For what the gun is its quiet but there is not a stop inside the compression chamber and there is a metallic clang when shot. The piston slams into the front of the chamber with much force.

    Things I liked:

Its hunting capability exceeds all other break barrel rifles to date. I would recommend this rifle to other serious shooters.

    Things I would have changed:

I suggest the weight of this rifle can be lessened with a synthetic stock.

    What others should know:

The power and accuracy of the 30 caliber 135 QE Vortex Air Rifle I recently purchased is awesome! Breaking in this beast should increase its superior abilities.

    Things I liked:

I own several Hatsan Rifles and have not been disappointed yet. I was one of the first to receive this (March 2016) in .30 cal and I now have about 1500 pellets through it. This rifle is awesome! It hits with such power and conviction! The stock is beautiful and so is the finish.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

The most powerful break-barrel rifle bar none! I chrono'd mine and I got an average of 553 fps with the 50.15 gr JSB. that is "34 FPE". I was shooting 1" CTC groups at 25 yards. This is very accurate I can shoot empty 12 gage shotgun shell casing from 25 yards away all day long!! Not to mention it is fun for plinking as well. Putting this much lead down range with a break-barrel airgun is incredible! JSB only makes two .30 cal pellets (50.15 gr and 44.75) and this shoots great with both weights. I set my rifle up with picatinny side rails, split bi-pods and a UTG 3-9x50 RGB Mil-Dot Scope. This gun is really fun! It makes it very difficult to go back to the .177

    Things I liked:

I have the .30 caliber version and it makes big power. I shoot the Predator Polymags at 44.75 gn and also the 50 gn JSB's. Using either pellet It's easy to get .75" groups at 50 yards. Keep in mind that at 50 yards these big pellets are still carrying 23 FPE... more than most smaller caliber offerings carry at the muzzle. The stock is beautiful, metal is nice... Rifle is not hold sensitive and the shot cycle feels like you're shooting a nicely tuned springer. When firing the rifle makes a dull thump sound, most people wouldn't recognize it.

    Things I would have changed:

Fully adjusted the trigger, pull weight is still at 6lbs... would be much better at 3 lbs. They should loktite the stock screws at the factory...

    What others should know:

The rifle is heavy but well balanced. It also feels quite short when compared to a RWS 350, Hatsan 125 Sniper, etc.. Cocking effort is substantial but manageable. Check those stock screws and blue loktite them right away to save yourself some accuracy tuning issues. This is most likely not a backyard hunter. Not because of the noise but because of the power and momentum the big pellets carry. You will overpenetrate small game inside of 20 yards and that pellet will still have a bit of stink on it... know your backstop.

    Things I liked:

the stock is beautifully made solidly built and it hits very hard using 10.5 grain pellets its sending them out at 1030 fps and 16 grain jsb monster at 630fps. it seems to like the Crossman 10.5 and predator ploy mags the best.

    Things I would have changed:

    I wouldn't change anything.

    What others should know:

this gun is heavy and the cocking effort is considerable. cocking this thing youll feel it, at first it was almost not fun to shoot but either it has broken it or I got used to it and now its not to bad. but its what you get in a magnum gun. this is a great gun for the price I'm very pleased with it.

    Things I liked:

The power! I've read people's description of this as a hammer. A beast, and it's all true. It's dieseling still, so the accuracy is not there yet. I'm positive it'll become right on the money in time, only got about 20-30 shots through it. Shooting the JSB's at a shoot-n-see @20 yards 2 out of 3 shots are in the 9 ring. Not too bad in my opinion.

    Things I would have changed:

The but pad. It has a unique shape to cradle your shoulder when shooting, which is really nice. However, when you place it into the hip joint to cock it, it leaves bruises. Well, if you shoot around 40 to 50 shots without stopping. Perfectly understandable with that type of power.

    What others should know:

Typical Pyramydair fashion. My first rifle's bolt that holds the sling to the fore end completely snapped in half. That scared me just because I believe that's part of the shock absorber system. PA took it back, and replaced it with another one. But yet they are out stock for another month. Way to go guys! You rock! You'll always have a customer in me.

    Things I liked:

Nice fit and finish, excellent accuracy, well balanced, substantial power. At 10 yds, was able to put most shots into a 1/2" circle (using JSB Exacts 25.39 gr.) with just the sights, despite the heavy trigger. This should improve if that can be remedied. Will go clean through a 1" pine board at 5 yds. Retains way more down range energy than a .22 cal.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is way too heavy for a gun in this price range, sound moderator is useless. Basically this is a pretty awesome gun overall. I have the .25 caliber. Very accurate, considering the heavy trigger. Have about 100 shots through it, but trigger has not improved at all. If you follow the trigger adjustment instructions in the manual, it looks like the screws are all the way in which equates to the lightest 2nd stage trigger pull. I don't have a pull gauge, but my calibrated finger tells me its about 6-8 lbs. Takes a lot of effort to make a precise off-hand shot. Ridiculous. Both my RWS and Webley guns came with stock triggers adjusted in the 2 lb range. No excuse for this in my opinion. After doing some web research, it seems that Hatsan is inconsistent with the length of trigger adjustment screws installed in guns destined for America. I might have to get longer screws to fix the problem. Will have to research this more, but disappointing nevertheles

    What others should know:

The other issue is the sound moderator, It appears to be a muffler, not a suppressor (no baffles and no chambering, which means no pressure drop). My sound pressure meter measured 91 dB 3 ft back from the muzzle. It is loud. The exit hole looks to be about .40 caliber, with some sort of perforated cushions lining the inside of the tube. For these reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of five. I may gut it and install real suppressor components. Cocking effort feels around 60 lbs, not a kid's gun. Because of the balance, the gun is very manageable off-hand, even with the 10 lb weight.

    Things I liked:

Very powerful and accurate for a break barrel, quality stock sights, not much louder than a BB gun, fit and finish, that trigger! Impressive overall package that costs twice as much but delivers more than the cheaper offerings in this field.

    Things I would have changed:

Very Little. The weight of the rifle and cocking force are both extremely high but that comes with the territory of an airgun that has this level of power for hunting if you don't want to make the leap into the next power level in the PCP world that involves tanks, air compressors and even more expensive airguns but still need to take down larger small game or pests. One thing that is not up to par with the high quality of this rifle is the safety, it's a bit clumsy, clunky and feels cheap, other than that this airgun is top notch.

    What others should know:

This is one of the nicest high power or magnum break barrel air rifles I have used. It's a bit of a niche product. If power is not an issue I recommend offerings from Gamo, RWS and others in 22 or 177 for plinking. Not to take away from this awesome gun but this should not be one of your first purchases as it fits a certain purpose. Given the velocity of the pellets is slower, the trajectories will be less flat than those used to the 177 or 22 rifles. Accuracy is extremely good and energy retention at range is better than the faster, smaller projectiles but if you plan on doing any serious hunting one should practice at length to get an idea of the point of impact if using the excellent open sights. This rifle requires someone of a certain physical strength not just to cock it, but also be able to hold its 9.9lbs of heft which will be more with optics. Though it will increase the heft even more, as with all nice guns a scope will thoroughly increase the user's enjoyment.

Accuracy is awesome. Trigger is awesome. Stock is beautiful. Power is awesome. Delivers as advertised!! 1" groups at 50 yards. Best break barrel hunter ever. Takes out armadillos broadside with no problem. Accurate enough for headshots but there's enough power that there is no need.

    Things I would have changed:

A longer barrel would both add velocity and reduce the heavy cooking force but would add more weight to an already hefty rifle. I don't know if the tradeoff would be worth it, but it would be interesting to see.

    What others should know:

    Buy one. You'll be impressed.

This rifle is very well made, heavy, nice qualify, and nice finish. It is definitely a rifle I will most likely keep in my collection for many years to come. The front and rear sights are decent and fairly easy to track with the adjustable cheek pad.

    Things I would have changed:

A nice illuminated scope, sling, and case package would have been a great choice. The safety style could use some functional appearance improvement. It seems a bit of an after thought compared tot he rest of the rifle quality.

    What others should know:

I have not yet had a chance to shoot it much, but this is what I know so far; 1) Cocking is a bit tough so if your arm strength is not that great or your technique needs work this may not be the rifle for you (however it may break in a bit after more use), 2) Noise is just a bit louder than I hoped but not unreasonable (It is no louder than many other backyard noises such as wood chopping or aluminum can stomping), 3) A sling is definitely a must have as this thing is heavy., and 4) Invest in a nice bench pad for shooting that allows the gun to move freely
