Things I liked:

I have had this rifle for well over a year, it's the best inexpensive rifle I own. I have four Diana's and I can tell you the Blackhawk is an exact copy of the Diana 34, that is , I repeat a copy . The RWS Diana has the excellent materials and workmanship ,the Blackhawk is the poor mans version. Nothing to fret for with a little TLC you can make this skateboard run like Jag. I took mine apart and gave a tune an lube. The spring came bone dry from the factory, China, touché . Now after the tune the gun shoot very consistent 900 plus fps and just about 14 fp. Good enough to knock down pigeons, rodents and small prey. The spring this rifle brings is of excellent quality withstood 2 to 3 thousand shots dry as a bone,it didn't even make much noise. The piston looks just as good as the RWS, maybe 30 years from now you won't know the difference?

Things I would have changed:

I've been thinking about taking the trigger apart, its second stage is only adjustable ,the first stage is stiff. Maybe fine sanding the trigger catch will do the trick, if not I can live with it ,you can't expect a Diana 34 for $99 bucks. Speaking of which mine has a Leapers 4x32scope , about $30 bucks more, I can hit coke cans at 50 yard no problem except for wind condition.

What others should know:

The Blackhawk is a good buy,it looks super with the Leapers I mentioned, fools most of my buddies. Who knows maybe with price reduction on this I'm inclined to buy another tune it and make a couple of bucks on the side to feed my airgun hobby. All said the purchase of this rifle via Pyramyd is a no brainer,if you dont have the almost $300 for the RWS 34... hell with it drive Chevy and soup it up.

Things I liked:

Regrettably.... NOTHING. I purchased the gun in the morning....and spent the rest of the day on the range with it, trying to sight in, and get to know the gun.....wasted day.

Things I would have changed:

-Supplied scope is terrible..... if you're going to offer a "quality" air gun, at least include a serviceable scope -Most of the screws on the gun were loose when doing my unboxing inspection

What others should know:

-Here's the last nail in the coffin for me..... At shot number 29, I broke the barrel/cocked, and the detent & spring launched out of the breech! Smacked me in the shoulder, and went bouncing away. After a while of searching..... I found the detent ball and spring..... and tried to reinstall.... no dice. The "crimp" area that should hold things in .... were not as it should be. Boxed it up, and returned for a refund. Umerex IS NOT doing Ruger justice.....using the Ruger name on this product. I own the Ruger 10/22 C02 gun, and love it....but this one is a seriously flawed dud, and I will steer clear of Umerex produced break barrel guns.

    Things I liked:

I like the safety it has a real good feature you cock it it goes on safe everytime.

    Things I would have changed:

I would def change the size of it. Mine is a .177 and it actually weighs more then one of my .25s.

    What others should know:

I had a had time sighting this gun in. I tried lots of different pellets, 3 different scopes, nothing seemed to help. I have mine a make over. I replaced the stock, tuned the gun up, threw out the scopes rings those totally sucked and rescoped it and it did turn into a decent shooter. But I don't recommend doing what i did your Probably better off buying a better quality gun but I shoot everyday and work on guns all the time so having the parts, knowledge and a little bit of time i guess that's up to the airgunner to decide.

    Things I liked:

Looks well made and ready to go. Seems like a good choice for a new shooter.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much, Shot 3 shots before cleaning it. Had some dieseling on those shots. Cleaning took care of that.

    What others should know:

Only have shot it a few times so far as it was my 12 year old grandson's first gun!! In the basement offhand at 10yds he was shooting about 1" groups with an hour of practice. Shot smoothly with a fair trigger pull. We will be off to the range early next week when we can really test it!Shot 3 shots before cleaning it. Had some dieseling on those shots. Cleaning took care of that.

    Things I liked:

The rifle is as good as a moderately priced rifle can be. Extremely accurate. Moderate cocking effort. Location of Safety.

    Things I would have changed:

Just don't include a Ruger scope, it is the second worse scope I have ever received with an air rifle. Better trigger is always nice, but it is a value priced rifle....

    What others should know:

Use the scope as a tent stake or a paper weight, the parallax will cause you to think the rifle is junk if you try to use it at 10 meters. It is actually extremely accurate. Mine loves cheap Winchester HP pellets.

I love the accuracy of the gun and the ability to kill small game and varmint.

    Things I would have changed:

I think an easier scope to sight in would be nice

    What others should know:

Break barrel guns take a lot of care so be sure to oil it after each use and store it in a dry place just like a real gun. DO NOT DRY FIRE! It can bottom out the spring.

    Things I liked:

I like the style, power, performance, price, synthetic stock, fiber optic sights and ergonomic design. The 4x Ruger scope that comes with it seems to be clearer than the competitor’s equivalents.

    Things I would have changed:

Higher quality control in craftsmanship and assembly. Harder steel used on the screws and other key locations. Include scope mounts that compensate for barrel droop and are intended for use with rifles that produce this amount of recoil. All manufacturers should test fire for accuracy, function and performance, before boxing up their products.

    What others should know:

This is my third Blackhawk. #1 was extremely hold-sensitive, but accurate (1/2” groups at 20yds off a bench with Crosman HP’s). It died after 1000 rounds. #2 came with a loose barrel pivot, when I tried to tighten it the threads on the bolt stripped out. After fixing that, it still couldn’t hit a bull in the butt no matter what kind of pellets I tried. The best group I could shoot with it was 1½” at 20yds off a bench. #3 is not overly hold-sensitive and I can shoot an occasional ¼” group at 20yds off a bench with it, using a heavy duty 1 pc. scope mount and a mid priced 3-9x40 AO scope (I had to shim the rear of the scope). Best pellet in it are Benjamin HP’s $10 for 750 pcs. (Inexpensive and they are the most accurate in most of my .177 rifles). If the rear open sight can’t be adjusted high enough, try gently bending it upward a little. If you plan on upgrading the scope; the open sights sit up too high to use see-through mounts also I tried a 4-16x40AO but had to completely remove the rear sight to do it. BLACKHAWKS DESTROY SCOPES. Be sure to buy a scope that is airgun rated and comes with a lifetime warranty (you’ll need it). Don’t forget, no lifetime warranty when buying a used scope, or if you lose your receipt.

    Things I liked:

This gun is very accurate. I am very surprised at how low the price is for this gun. Overall the best pellet gun I have shot (I have a lot of pellet guns.)

    Things I would have changed:

The one thing I would change about this gun is the rings. In case you don't know what that is, its the things that hold up the scope. Around every 15-20 shots, the rings get loose and I have to tighten them. That is really the only downside to this gun.

    Things I liked:

Looks great, very accurate, plenty of power.

    Things I would have changed:

Had to take off the rear sight in order to mount a large scope. Mine is EXTREMELY hold sensitive. Very pellet picky, only likes Crossman Hollow Points. 200+ break in period.

    What others should know:

I was going to give up on this one I couldn't get a descent group no matter what kind of pellets I tried (about 25 different kinds). Till I figured out it is so hold sensitive that I have to shoot it resting the forarm of the weapon on the BACK of my first and second fingers and they have to be in the exact same spot every time. This can be painfull after a while. Now, with the Crossman Hollow Points it will shoot 1/2 inch groups at 25 yards off a bench all day long (provided you can stand the pain of the recoil combined with the sharp edges of the plastic forearm, tearing the skin off the back of your fingers.

    Things I liked:

This is my second Hawk and both have been excellent in every way. I believe the QC is getting better as this most recent one had a better metal finish than the Airhawk that I bought 5 years ago. I like the slimmer look to the Blackhawk stock. She is shooting at 917 FPS with RWS Suberdomes and stacking them.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer it without the scope as most people trash it anyway, that way you could sell it $10 cheaper and it would be an even better bargain than it already is.

    What others should know:

The Hawks are a little heavy if you are not used to premium springers, and an artillary hold is required to wring out all the accuracy these rifles are capable of.

Light weight and powerful for small game hunting, nice checkering and truglow open sights!!

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is 4 X 32 but for the price i guess is good ...

    What others should know:

I think it is like the winchester 1,000X in feet per second, is some what more than a 1,000fps , it is about 1,100fps. It can be decock once you cock the rifle and then decide not to shot simply grab the barrel in the fully brake position press the trigger and slowly move the barrel into close position. Any alloy pellets break the sound barrier. For backyard shooting i recommend heavy pellets to avoid the loud noise. The safety is like the ones in the Diana RWS This rifle is very slim and very light to carry around all day. Trigger is adjustable and the trigger guard is molded into the plastic stock. Very powerful and low cost, an excellent all day shooter!!

    Things I liked:

The accuracy is 25yrds same hole smaller than pea size same hole shooting. And the quality of the rifle is good as RWS34 phantom and very good price of the rifle. Quality is way better than crosman. It is must have item if you look for under $100 budget.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is usually kinda so so you know that. But others no complain about the price and accuracy it is the Top!

    What others should know:

Scope is okay and it is just good rifle. And i shoot the target 100yrds The playing card size target hit. And even it is 177cal pretty hit hard and The best pellet for this rifle is Crosman premium 177cal 7.9g hollow point pellet Is the accuracy. Same hole hit 25yrd smaller than pea size.

This gun is a exact copy of the RWS 34. Very accurate and easy to shoot with open sight. Great power and love the trigger. For the price nothing is better..PERIOD!!

    Things I would have changed:

Better scope but really for the price what do you expect. Sling mount would be nice..made my own though. A wooden stock would be excellent to compete with the RWS 34.

    What others should know:

I was actually debating as whether to get the RWS 34 when buying this rifle. Glad I didn't spend $300.00 for a RWS. I'm pretty sure RWS is much better built but I don't think it's twice better than the Ruger when comparing in terms of performance and price.

Well balance, Safety feature at the rear of the stock, excellent price point. Excellent trigger pull. Excellent in target and General hunting purpose

    Things I would have changed:

Need an improved front sight post. 4x32 fixed scope is horrible.

    What others should know:

I have owned the Ruger Blackhawk for 4 years, I shoot the rifle at least twice a month putting approximate 300 rounds thru it. I am very pleased with it. Just do regular PM on it i.e. routing lubrication and tightening screws. Anyone can pay more for an airgun but will not get more. Willing to get another one in a .22 platform.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

This rifle has plenty of "heft" in fact almost too much. It holds very well and ranks with a good 22 rimfire rifle. Easy to operate and simple to use. Very well made (a surprise to me). I have put about 200 pellets through this rifle and it is getting better between cleanings.

    Things I would have changed:

The open sights are not durable and care must be taken to protect them from harm. They are fragible but easy to adjust and respond well to adjustment. A lot of black muck fouling must be cleaned before using and very often after shooting or shots will start wander from initial zero.

    What others should know:

This is a neat rifle and I found that in addition to cleaning the barrel you must thoroughly clean the barrel after ten shots. The shots will start to go wild and sight adjustment will not catch up with zero. I find that cleaning the barrel after each 22 shots keeps this rfle on zero. I keep getting the foul black muck as I did from the initial cleaning.

    Things I liked:

The rifle is of amazing quality for the price. I am a former Scout sniper in the marine core so I understand it's value. I utilize this rifle with ease. For the price it is simply just amazing.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is fine. The fact that this is a break barrel and not a fixed barrel throws off rounds. I have zeroed mine and has been on point so far. The ONLY reason a cheap scope is thrown off is because the barrel it not fixed!

    What others should know:

If your're looking at it than your interest is in the right place. I just feel it's a little noisy. That does not reflect a single star to be subtracted from this rifle. Seriously enjoy it, it has nearly 5 stars for a reason.

    Things I liked:

Mine shot GREAT right out of the box. Arrived 1 1/2 days after I ordered it, in PERFECT condition. Good weight. Great trigger pull. A little noisy with light pellets, but GREAT groups at 30 yards! In the hands of a child it needs 100% supeervision.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope was inexpensive and functioned as expected. It is of lesser quality than the gun. With a more expensive scope, this is a formidable squirrel stopper.

    What others should know:

Watch your background. Keep it oiled and wiped down. Should last a good long while and provide hours of fun and relaxation.
