    Things I liked:

This is my new favorite rifle! I own two real M1A's, which I love to shoot. While this rifle is not exactly the same look, the fact that it has a real walnut stock, the sights are great, the trigger is pretty good. I can hit a 4" steel plate, offhand, at 35 yards consistently,(if I do my part). It would be really great if sling mounts could be installed so as to not interfere with the lever to practice prone and sitting positions. Obviously practicing rapid fire strings is a no-go. But I am coming to feel like semi auto in air guns are over-rated and I am enjoying single shot better.

    Things I would have changed:

Sling mounts, tricky because the stock is thin up front, and it cant be in the center like the real deal because the underlever splits the center of the stock. It would be great to see a special limited edition version that used a steel receiver, and other more realistic parts. I would pay at least double for one that had a real flash hider (give's the signature M-14 ring when fired), steel receiver for authentic look, maybe high quality beefy internals to make it last longer - just a thought.

    What others should know:

This is a really fun air gun to shoot. Especially if you enjoy service rifle, open sight shooting.

    Things I liked:

The weight of the rifle makes it feel like you are handling a real M1A. The accuracy is very good with RWS Diabolo Basic pellets. The look of the rifle is almost spot on and most people at a glance wouldn't notice that it is an air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it came from the factory with a 10 round magazine attached at the bottom. I scaled a 10 round magazine and 3D printed it for my rifle. I inlet the stock and screwed it on permanently. I think it completed the look of this nice rifle. I also wish they could improve the trigger pull. It has quite a lot of creep in it but you can get used to it.

    What others should know:

The rifle is heavy weighing in at 9 pounds 12 ounces. I wanted the weight so that I could practice offhand with it and it would feel like shooting the real thing. It isn't a problem for larger frame people but may be something to consider if you are on the smaller side. Overall I am very happy with it.

    Things I liked:

Size and weight are spot on for practice

    Things I would have changed:

Rear sights seems cheap. Not sure it will hold up to adjustment. CO 2 version would be better as you have to break position cock. Also loading is a bit tough if you are using your fingers. Not sure pen will work for loading.

    What others should know:

I think its a great idea for CMP type shooter for practice you can do at home and do cheaply.

    Things I liked:

This is a very big, very heavy rifle. That is not necessarily a bad thing, it contributes to bench rest accuracy but it would be a challenge to carry this thing while hunting. The wooden stock is one of the very best i have seen. It has no sling mounts. It is moderately difficult to cock the under lever, not necessary to be a weight lifter but not for weaklings. It is VERY accurate. The peep sights are effective but made of plastic, I hope they last over time. This air rifle REALLY comes into its own if the Air Venturi M1A/M14 scope mount is installed, it is rock solid and highly effective. Install a good quality 3 x 9 air gun scope and you will not be disappointed. Groups are TINY. Make sure you tighten down the action screws, they were loose when it was delivered.

    Things I would have changed:

Action screws should have been good and tight from the factory but were loose when delivered. Rear peep sight is made of plastic, they work OK but I fear they will not last. Metal peep sights would have been better, but would have raised cost of the rifle. A version with a lighter tactical stock would be fantastic. I think the Air Venturi M1A/M14 scope mount is mandatory, I don't know if other versions of the M1A scope mount will fit, it looks like they may fit but i am not sure. I have the Air Venturi mount and it is fantastic. I would love sling swivels, but where to put them?

    What others should know:

It took me several months of waiting after I ordered to get the Air Venturi M1A/M14 scope mount, they seem to be rare. I shoot this in my back yard, it is fairly quiet. It can easily be mistaken for an M1 or M14. Be careful and don't let people see you shoot it, they will think you are a sniper with an M1 Garand! I would not hesitate to recommend this spring air rifle. If you are a fan of the M1 Garand or M14 you will love it. For $200 (As of June 2021) it is well worth it. Get it!

    Things I liked:

This is a beautiful piece. The stock fit and finish are great. The butt plate although nonfunctional looks and fits as the original. Weight and balance are as I recall the one I carried.

    Things I would have changed:

The fore portion of the stock could be slimmer. I would like a simple dummy magazine to add to realism of appearance. It would never have to be 20 round length maybe 10. It should be removable with the release cast as part of the magazine to keep cost and weight down.

    What others should know:

If you want an accurate powerful shooter that will take a scope and replicate a piece of military and firearms history, this is for you.

I liked the feel and authentic nature of the rifle. The iron sights are very nice.

    Things I would have changed:

Seized up after 50 shots, could not release anti bear trap lever and the cocking slide locked in place. Returned as defective 2 weeks later.

    Things I liked:

The weight, realistic feel, quality build

    Things I would have changed:

Make the flash hider a more realistic size and either add a dummy magazine, or turn it into a Garand replica. Maybe offer it in .25, change to a gas spring

    What others should know:

Get the .22 caliber, it's a real thumper. I've shot 5 raccoons with it all one shot instant kills!

    Things I liked:

Absolutely everything about this rifle is likeable. Plenty accurate, good military like trigger, nice wood and probably the best $200 I've spent in a LONG time

    Things I would have changed:

I wish there was a better rear sight set up. Stock works but a bit gimpy and seems fragile.

    What others should know:

Get you one, you'll be happy.

    Verified Purchase

    Things I liked:

I have three. One is for parts. I had a scope on one and took it off so I wasted a little on mounts. I have been shooting them across the house keeping busy throughout the winter. It has been fun. I like the 22. I can load a pellet with my big clumsy fingers.

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic is fragile and Diana will not ship parts. Rifle fell and all three pieces of the front sight broke off the front suppressor. I have had other problems but that is why I have a parts gun.

    What others should know:

If you have fired this rifle plastic underneath the stock has broken. Do not remove the stock to see. Diana will void the warranty. I still enjoy this rifle. For the price I know that I will always have one. I am having a ton of fun with many of their products. Hopefully you are as well.

    Things I liked:

Just received this today, Haven't shot it yet, but it looks and feels solid. the flash hider seems a bit out of scale and the stock seems to be a little different from the M1-A, and much closer to my friend's Norinco M14. I like the details on this rifle and can't wait to shoot it. Also liked the military style flat finish on the stock, rather than the usual high gloss seen on most Chinese made air rifles

    Things I would have changed:

Metal, not plastic sights, a more accurately sized flash hider, with bayonet lug, and a dummy magazine would make for a more realistic look and a magazine would provide a storage area for extra ammo. Also would be easy for Springfield Armory, to also make a Garand rifle.

    What others should know:

I've heard of fast shipping, but ordered Friday morning and delivered Saturday morning, using regular delivery? This speaks volumes for Pyramyd Air customer service, Well done!

    Things I liked:

Feels like the real one and weight.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading is hard for larger hands. Loose the fake bolt handle. Improve the rear sight. Improve the safety and it's material. Have an actual flip up butt plate to have a place for pellet storage.

    What others should know:

Looks good but also looks to have cheap inner workings.

    Things I liked:

I already own a Springfield Armory M1A and I like that this gun looks and feels so much like it. Given the price of ammunition, the pellet rifle will allow me to put in a lot more range time at a very economical cost with a rifle with such similarity to the "real" thing. In fact, I purchased my M1A with the black synthetic stock and after receiving the pellet rifle decided to install a similar wood stock.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing that I can think of at this point. Small suggestion to improve the instruction manual to reflect that a small amount of tension of the cocking lever when returning to storage/firing position would make depressing the release tab a lot easier.

    What others should know:

    No

    Things I liked:

I love this rifle! Its weight is just like the Garrand I used to have . The open sights are really well done and the rifle is incredibly accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I doubt highly that they will ever build in a faux magazine so I took mine to my local gunsmith with an old M1a magazine and he did a beautiful job of mounting it to the stock - I've posted 4 images of the rifle and they are under review right now.

    What others should know:

This is one hell of a rifle for 200.00. I plan on buying the 177 version and modify it as well.

The weight and feel. Unexpected good accuracy for a $200 pellet gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add sling mounts. I added a little shine, depth and color to stock by rubbing it down with Kiwi black and brown shoe polish.

    What others should know:

Use the cocking lever as intended using the bear trap release. Do not force the lever back in place.

    Things I would have changed:

Should have use metal for the breech covering instead of plastic. It works though.

    Things I liked:

The look and feel of the rifle is just what I remember from shooting an M14 in basic training in 1967. Very accurate and has good power in .22cal. The cocking lever extension makes it much easier to cock the rifle....still takes a pretty good effort.

    Things I would have changed:

Peep sight is hard to use with my old eyes. Even with the sight all the way down the rifle still shoots a little high at 20 yards.

    What others should know:

I put a 4x32 scope on mine to see the target better.
