I spent a lot of time searching for a replacement for my old crossbow and was on the fence about spending this much on a crossbow. I came across the Vapor with the Xero optical and this thing is quite impressive so far. I was easily burying the nocks shooting 70 yards out with a new block target. Can’t wait to see what it does next season to the deer. The optical matched with this bow is a killer combination. No more gap shooting or guessing how far out my target is. Just range, lock on and shoot. The cocking and decocking system is a huge plus as well. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I’m very please with the quality of the bow. The cocking process is more involved than my older xbow and takes some getting used to. I guess that is to be expected with the high velocity performance. Make sure that you use a practice broadleaf that you will be hunting with when you site in. If you use a standard field tip you bow will be WAY off.

As soon as a live deer target presents itself, I am confident my Nitro 505 will be a killing machine!

Great crossbow. Fast, accurate and hard hitting. Garmin has a learning curve but matches the bow well. Be ready to buy extra bolts due to the kinetic energy when hitting target.

Half way through the Pa archery season, I decided to upgrade my equipment. The Nitro 505 with the Garmin X1i is so much more than I expected. I can’t say enough about this setup. It was a breeze to sight in and the accuracy was phenomenal. The Center Punch broadhead did just that at 27 yards putting a 1 7/8” hole dead center through his heart. Ten point with a TenPoint. Doesn’t get any better than that.

The bow is fine but the AlphaBrite 400 grain arrows are useless at this velocity. The AlphaBrite inserts depart mid-flight and can be found laying on the ground short of the target. This bow was sighted in with conventional Alpha nocks and when checked is consistent. The accuracy with AlphaBrites when shooting deer is terrible. We have wounded 2 deer without recovery. Finally diagnosed the problem last night on an 8-point where the point of impact was about 15" left and 8" higher than the point of hold. The LED and insert were recovered about 40 yards from the blind, well short of the target, glowing in the grass. Fortunately, the deer died mercifully and allowed me to diagnose the serious problem with your arrows.

I have owned several crossbows prior to making this purchase. This crossbow far surpasses any of my others in way of quality ease of use and reliability

After 10 shots we had the acudraw break, we got it fixed and got it back..now first time using it since we got it back (trying to sight it in) and the whole string exploded. String snapped and injured my hand, string parts went everywhere. Luckily ,my 9 month old son who was behind me in his pack n play wasn't injured. I do not recommend, if I could give 0 stars I would just for the possibility of my son getting hurt by the exploding string.

String broke on 3 shot. Bow string not up to power of bow. Wish I had done More research as I am not the only person who has had this problem.

The safety is quite loud. I scared off a deer just putting the safety into the off position. The scope takes some getting used to but is very nice. In low light I have to change to the fixed point sight to prevent the light from being too bright. But it is a powerful and accurate bow. I also like the narrow design. It is easier to shoot near the edge of the blind window so I have wider range of shooting. And the de-cocking mechanism works very well.

The ten point Nitro 505 is not for actual hunting. If you are climbing through Laurel and up an down mountains you will loose the quiver and crank unless you tie them to stay some how. First day of hunting quiver is lost. Third day of hunting crank is lost. Not a happy camper!

Great Crossbow, smooth shot and very accurate. Would expect nothing less!

Consistently accurate, compact, lightweight and the new cocking mechanism is easy to use and quiet.

It will blow right through a deer at 50 yards. Easy to use

Being new to crossbows I took the time to read all the manuals and watch all the videos, all of which are VERY helpful and informative. Thanks TenPoint for taking the time to produce these. Next, it only took me 15 minutes and three shots to get the Xero sighted in from 20 to 80 yards. Next two shots (pictured) were off my tri-pod at 51 yards. The Nitro's trigger is awesome and getting the hang of cocking/de-cocking takes no time at all. I love my vertical bow, but am starting to hunt with my 7 and 8 year olds and wanted something they can use as well. I can already tell this rig is going to make us happy hunters for years to come! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is there is no hard case specifically made for this bow without going third-party.

Exactly as advertised!!!! It is absolutely amazing and incredibly accurate. Craftsmanship is outstanding and very easy to operate… I am shooting 482gr at 492fps

Waited to make this review until I hunted with it. Paired with the garmin scope it is a tack driver! Just hunted red stag, used G5 megameat mechanical broadhead,and heavier grain bolt. It punched through the shoulder into the heart and broadhead just made it to other side of body. Busted right through that hard shoulder bone! Now ready to drop a whitetail like a rifle to the shoulder!

Light and accurate extremely fast had a doe 25 yards out she turned as I was taking my shot but it went completely through her. After 4 shoulder surgeries I spent my time researching different crossbow based on weight and speed and best price point.
