Things I liked:

It may not be pretty in some eyes but the beauty is in the accuracy and quietness. I am able to get near one hole accuracy with a red dot 4x at 10 yards. I am 83 yrs. old with not so good vision and if I can do this damn near anyone should. Expensive, yes but worth it.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing.

What others should know:

Shot count in 22 is about 15 before topping off.

Things I liked:

are the smooth trigger and the accuracy for 10m shooting is decent.

Things I would have changed:

are that it would get more shots per fill, the gun itself is made of tons of plastic so it doesn't feel as durable as my Crosman Silhouette that is mainly metal and the HW44 is an odd shape which makes shipping more tricky

What others should know:

Not worth the money. For $1,000+ gun, it is shipped in a thin cardboard box with a few pieces of Styrofoam to minimize it moving around in the box. Our first order arrived damaged and had to be replaced. Crosman Silhouette is a far better value for 1/2 the price of this.

Fantastic Trigger, Accuracy, energy, fit & finish, magazine, slide cocking action and overall feel of quality.

    Things I would have changed:

Can't think of anything other than make less expensive! Lol

    What others should know:

I don't own this but my buddy does (in .177) and I shot it enough to know I'm really impressed. If you're looking for a good quality pcp pistol and this is in your price range, I don't think you can be disappointed. FYI, I only used with a red dot, so can't comment on the sights. It is also VERY quiet. Shot it alot in a garage where sound echos...this is quiet. In a tight neighborhood, neighbors won't even hear it outside. My buddies had it a year now with no issues.

    Things I liked:

This is my first pcp pistol. It was a significant investment, and absolutely proved its value. I used to practice with spring or gas piston, resetting my stance on every shot. This pistol allows me to study and adjust body position with greater effect- just pull the side lever and go again. I use a red dot since my eyes are old. The rails are a wonderful feature.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really. Pyramid was totally helpful with any concerns I had.

    What others should know:

Use the fill adapters that pyramid recommends. I thought they were redundant but I got leaks if I didnt use them.

It took me acouple of hours to switch to a "Lefty" gun but it was well worth it. I wont suggest doing this for the "un mechanically inclined" But! Once done it's the best pistol I have ever owned. It is sheer perfection. I want to upload my videos but it doesn't look like they don't want you to know how I really feel about my new companion . Its a shame.

    Things I liked:

I bought the Weihrauch HW44 pistol for pest control. I wanted the .22 caliber but settled for the .177 due to lack of inventory. Squirrels are digging up my yard, eating my door frames, getting into my chimney and attempting to get in the attic. I live in the city house to house and cannot use any loud pest control methods. I have already been able to eliminate quite a number of these rodents with this pistol in just one week. The silencer makes the HW44 so quiet that I have been able to get second shots on different pests during the same set. The HW44 is very accurate at 15 yards and probably will be when I start going further out to 25 and 50 yards. I found that the .177 caliber has sufficient head knocking power for squirrels and other pests of that size. The revolver style 10 shot clips are easy to load and insert into the pistol. I get 25-30 shots on one 2900 psi fill up. I really like this pistol because it is solving my problem.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish that there was a shoulder brace that i could add to the pistol for greater stability.

    What others should know:

A red dot site works very well with this pistol.

    Things I liked:

Excellent Weihrauch pcp pistol. I like their rifles so much I thought I would buy their pistol. Not disappointed in any way. I purchased the pistol in .177 and have added a Burris 2x7 pistol scope and a bi pod on the gun. Very accurate pistol and it seems to prefer the JSB Hades 10.34 pellets right at 755 velocity and 13 foot pounds of energy. Got a great price on the gun and Pyramid Air have been excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

Being a lefty would like the cocking arm on the right side.

    What others should know:

I would not hesitate for a minute to purchase the gun in .177. Much flatter trajectory the .22 but either gun will serve you well.

Have many high quality PCP rifles. All are awesome beyond belief. This HW 44 has got to be the most fun I have ever had with a PCP. Being a pistol makes it priceless. Incredibly accurate and cool beyond words. Get one!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing except maybe getting my name engraved on it. Awesome PCP. Fills using my Hill compressor in seconds. Again, awesome.

    What others should know:

Have to wrestle magazines to get them seated but I would not part with this PCP. AWESOME

    Things I liked:

I love the feel of this pistol in my hand. The trigger is absolutely fantastic, and I am really Picky about triggers. This gun is tight...there is no slop or loose fits, anywhere. It shoots several weights of various good quality pellets with amazing accuracy. Many guns shoot very well with one or two specific pellets but my HW 44 shoots well with Premier and JSB Pellets from 7.4 to 10.5 grains. That is amazing.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

You will NEED to order the Air Venturi Male Quick-Disconnect, 1/8"... adapter for the supplied fill probe, or you will not be able to fill your new pistol. I recommend adding a short lanyard to the dust plug for the fill port, or you will soon loose the dust plug. Trust me on this. I have shot a lot of Premier 10.5 in my gun and it will be my go-to pellet. JSB shoots just a bit better, but at the price, I will shoot the Premiers. Buy a ton of pellets as you will not want to put this gun down. The magazines fit very snugly but you will get used to it. Remember the part about no slop. I get 30+ shots on a fill on my .177 gun. Shoot this pistol for a while and you will forget how much it costs.

    What others should know:

I topped off the .22 caliber pistol with a Vortex Strikefire red/green dot sight. From the reviews and videos that I watched about this pistol they all said the same thing. In .22 caliber the velocity was consistent for the first 17-18 shots then dropped drastically. My results were different. All of the very first shots with a full charge were about 575-579 FPS with the H&N Baracuda Match pellet. The average measured weight for that pellet is 21.4 grains. This is the part that differs greatly from the other reviewers. The velocity for every subsequent shot gradually increased a few FPS till it peaked at about 610-615 FPS till shot 28. Then at shots 29-30 the velocity dropped off drastically to about the 580ish range. For 30-shots averages were: Average MV: 597 FPS High: 615 FPS Low: 577 FPS E/S: 38 FPS S/D: 9.6 FPS My full review at: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=192465.msg156230592#msg156230592

    Things I liked:

The quality, fit and finish is very good. The integrated suppressor works very well. The gun is very accurate and the trigger is excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip is very soft but a little lumpy and odd feeling in some parts of the hand. I don't like the pressure dump method, it's not a very positive or intuitive process to relieve pressure from the reservoir.

    What others should know:

The gun is pricey and it's more or less clear why. I bought the hand pump option to get me started and it takes about 76 strokes to fill the reservoir to the max pressure of 200 bar. I get about 18 shots to bring the pressure down to the minimum. Hitting power drops off noticeably after about 5 shots. It's an impressive air gun and I'm looking forward to shooting it for years to come. I think my next purchase will be some sort of optic for the picatinny rail. The iron sights are good, just a little chunky considering how accurate the gun is.

    Things I liked:

This is an extremely well built, accurate PCP, ten shot repeater pistol. It uses a rotary magazine, has an integral suppressor and a "delicious" trigger feel. I measured the let-off of the trigger and it came in right at 8 ounces...definitely target pistol accuracy. I put a red dot reflex sight on it as I have older eyes. Only took six shots to get it dialed in and right on target. The pistol is fairly heavy, but can still be hand held and effectively fired with that light trigger. The trigger does have about a quarter inch of pre-travel, but then it comes up against the sear and it only requires very light pressure to set it off. No substantial after-travel. Reset doesn't matter as you have to use the cocking leaver to advance the rotary mag to the next pellet and admit air from the holding chamber into the firing chamber.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is very positive, but a bit difficult to operate because of orientation and stiffness. I suspect the stiffness may ease up as time goes on, but the orientation isn't going to change.

    What others should know:

Mine likes the Beeman 7.8 gr. wadcutter (coated) pellets. They also leave very nice, perfectly round holes in the paper target...makes it very easy to see and/or score.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate at least to 30yds....Haven't tried beyond that yet. Great fit and balance. Excellent trigger. Very good punch for a pistol. Excellent magazines. Quiet. Even looks good.

    Things I would have changed:

Someone should design and build a gauge that is read from the edge so we are not looking down a barrel while trying to recharge the air. Not just this gun but others we have too. Optional larger canister just big enough to take all 10 shot in the magazine with optimal pressure would be a great accessory.

    What others should know:

The gun is expensive but certainly worth it. We fitted a Vortex Venom 3mm red dot to this and really don't think there could be a better setup. Shooting H&N Baracuda Match pellets. Getting pellet on pellet groups on targets. Squirrels really don't like it.

Amazing accuracy, great trigger feel, lack of noise, comes with open sights, weight, quality plastics, multiple rails for scope, laser or light.

    Things I would have changed:

larger air reservoir so that you can shoot two complete 10 rd magazines in .22 cal Removable moderator for more compact storage Foster fitting instead of probe.

    What others should know:

This is an expensive gun, but there is little out there that offers the features that this gun has. I am always surprised how easy it is to shoot this gun so accurately. The quality is extraordinary, and doesn't leave you wishing for a better fit/finish or wood grips.

    Things I liked:

I was pleasantly surprised the HW44 came on a nice ballistic nylon(?) zippered gun case. Given the long length of the HW44, I'm glad I won't have to search for one to fit it. Fit and finish is excellent. Some of the videos I watched prior to purchasing it seemed a bit iffy about the synthetic stock, and compared it to a Glock. I was very impressed with the HW44's synthetic parts, stock, trigger, and rails. It fits my hand perfectly. I wish my Glock was as nice. Some videos mentioned wishing the action was a little easier going forward, but I am left handed, because my right hand is partially paralyzed, and I find the right-handed version of the HW44 to be easy to load the magazines, and cock the side lever. I love the trigger on my FX Impact, but now the HW44's trigger has bested it. Although not "whisper quiet", it is very quiet. Yes, it was expensive, but Its quality has me thinking about the HW110.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish it had come with the quick-change fitting for the fill probe.

    What others should know:

In the Q&A there were questions about the removability of the moderator, and some conflicting answers. My HW44 arrived today, 02/08/20, and it appears to have two grub screws. I have not attempted to remove the moderator, so I do not know if it is glued on.

Weihrauch, big, bad PCP pistol. I bought new from PA a few weeks ago in .22 cal. The thing is a sledge hammer. I walk around the property looking for stuff it can't shoot through. Open site is very accurate, if you can hold a good bead.

    Things I would have changed:

    Anything would be nit-pick

    What others should know:

14 rounds is about it for a fill. The magazine in and out can be fiddling, just a little finesse will do it. I surely love the pistol, nothing I'm unhappy about.
