Description
Weihrauch has been at the forefront of the airgun world for over a century, giving them the technological edge for producing this powerful air pistol.
The HW44 is a PCP pistol destined for greatness in your backyard range. Based on the action of their prized HW110, the HW44 gives airgunners the power they want and the accuracy they need for plinking and small game hunting.
Each HW44 features the same 10-shot rotary magazine as the HW110, fueled by a 200 BAR (2900 psi) cylinder that can send its shots flying at 750 fps in .177 and 570 fps in .22. Launch each shot of this repeater with a simple pull of its sidelever. Its Picatinny/Weaver accessory rail and scope rail gives shooters many choices for optics whether red-dot sights, flashlights, or lasers--a rare sight in PCP pistols. The HW44's 2-stage trigger keeps your pulls crisp and clean. The suppressor keeps your shots quiet.
Fill up your HW44, and no soda can, target, or small pest will stand a chance against this PCP!

Quality build and accurate
Things I Would Have ChangedIt would be nice if the safety could be engaged at any time
What Others Should KnowHad to shop around for a fill probe that actually worked
Delivered expeditiously and as advertised.
What Others Should KnowQuality
Fantastic Trigger, Accuracy, energy, fit & finish, magazine, slide cocking action and overall feel of quality.
Things I Would Have ChangedCan't think of anything other than make less expensive! Lol
What Others Should KnowI don't own this but my buddy does (in .177) and I shot it enough to know I'm really impressed. If you're looking for a good quality pcp pistol and this is in your price range, I don't think you can be disappointed. FYI, I only used with a red dot, so can't comment on the sights.
It is also VERY quiet. Shot it alot in a garage where sound echos...this is quiet. In a tight neighborhood, neighbors won't even hear it outside. My buddies had it a year now with no issues.
Muzzle Energy: Perfection, Precision and the Unbeatable Weihrauch Quality.
Things I Would Have ChangedColor Options
What Others Should KnowI Also Recommend the Weihrauch HW45 Pistol and the Weihrauch HW98 Rifle
This is my first pcp pistol. It was a significant investment, and absolutely proved its value. I used to practice with spring or gas piston, resetting my stance on every shot. This pistol allows me to study and adjust body position with greater effect- just pull the side lever and go again. I use a red dot since my eyes are old. The rails are a wonderful feature.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing really. Pyramid was totally helpful with any concerns I had.
What Others Should KnowUse the fill adapters that pyramid recommends. I thought they were redundant but I got leaks if I didnt use them.
EVERYTHING
Things I Would Have ChangedNotning
What Others Should KnowIt took me acouple of hours to switch to a "Lefty" gun but it was well worth it. I wont suggest doing this for the "un mechanically inclined" But! Once done it's the best pistol I have ever owned. It is sheer perfection. I want to upload my videos but it doesn't look like they don't want you to know how I really feel about my new companion . Its a shame.
I bought the Weihrauch HW44 pistol for pest control. I wanted the .22 caliber but settled for the .177 due to lack of inventory. Squirrels are digging up my yard, eating my door frames, getting into my chimney and attempting to get in the attic. I live in the city house to house and cannot use any loud pest control methods. I have already been able to eliminate quite a number of these rodents with this pistol in just one week. The silencer makes the HW44 so quiet that I have been able to get second shots on different pests during the same set. The HW44 is very accurate at 15 yards and probably will be when I start going further out to 25 and 50 yards. I found that the .177 caliber has sufficient head knocking power for squirrels and other pests of that size. The revolver style 10 shot clips are easy to load and insert into the pistol. I get 25-30 shots on one 2900 psi fill up. I really like this pistol because it is solving my problem.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish that there was a shoulder brace that i could add to the pistol for greater stability.
What Others Should KnowA red dot site works very well with this pistol.
great
Things I Would Have Changednothing
What Others Should Knowwhat name brand did you buy for carrying case and from whom?thanx
Excellent Weihrauch pcp pistol. I like their rifles so much I thought I would buy their pistol. Not disappointed in any way. I purchased the pistol in .177 and have added a Burris 2x7 pistol scope and a bi pod on the gun. Very accurate pistol and it seems to prefer the JSB Hades 10.34 pellets right at 755 velocity and 13 foot pounds of energy. Got a great price on the gun and Pyramid Air have been excellent.
Things I Would Have ChangedBeing a lefty would like the cocking arm on the right side.
What Others Should KnowI would not hesitate for a minute to purchase the gun in .177. Much flatter trajectory the .22 but either gun will serve you well.

Accurate, well-made, quiet
Things I Would Have ChangedExpensive (but you do get what you pay for)
What Others Should KnowI was hesitant to buy the HW44 due to the price (an air gun almost as expensive as my Tanfoglio Witness Hunter 10mm), but since I rarely shoot centerfire anymore due to ammo cost, I went for it. I do not regret it at all.
Since I received it, I have put at least 40 rounds through it every day (2 fills). I installed a Vortex Sparc II red dot and sighted it in for a 12 yard zero. I get 20 shots per fill (it is just barely touching the yellow after the 20th). I generally shoot this at a steel gong at 25 to 50 yards distance.
Today, I finally was able to test off of a rest at several different ranges 10 to 50 yards. Up to 30 yards, the small groups were less than 1" above/below the target. At 40 it drops 1.25 inches. At 50, it drops 4.25 inches, but the group was still barely over 1". This is very impressive for a pistol with a 1x red dot fired by a 55-year-old with bad eyes using cheap Crosman .22 14.3gr domed ammo.
