Weihrauch HW44 Air Pistol, FAC Version
Weihrauch has been at the forefront of the airgun world for over a century, giving them the technological edge for producing this powerful air pistol.
The HW44 is a PCP pistol destined for greatness in your backyard range. Based on the action of their prized HW110, the HW44 gives airgunners the power they want and the accuracy they need for plinking and small game hunting.
Each HW44 features the same 10-shot rotary magazine as the HW110, fueled by a 200 BAR (2900 psi) cylinder that can send its shots flying at 750 fps in .177 and 570 fps in .22. Launch each shot of this repeater with a simple pull of its sidelever. Its Picatinny/Weaver accessory rail and scope rail gives shooters many choices for optics whether red-dot sights, flashlights, or lasers--a rare sight in PCP pistols. The HW44's 2-stage trigger keeps your pulls crisp and clean. The suppressor keeps your shots quiet.
Fill up your HW44, and no soda can, target, or small pest will stand a chance against this PCP!

Very accurate at least to 30yds....Haven't tried beyond that yet. Great fit and balance. Excellent trigger. Very good punch for a pistol. Excellent magazines. Quiet. Even looks good.Things I would have changed:
Someone should design and build a gauge that is read from the edge so we are not looking down a barrel while trying to recharge the air. Not just this gun but others we have too. Optional larger canister just big enough to take all 10 shot in the magazine with optimal pressure would be a great accessory. What others should know:
The gun is expensive but certainly worth it. We fitted a Vortex Venom 3mm red dot to this and really don't think there could be a better setup. Shooting H&N Baracuda Match pellets. Getting pellet on pellet groups on targets. Squirrels really don't like it.
Amazing accuracy, great trigger feel, lack of noise, comes with open sights, weight, quality plastics, multiple rails for scope, laser or light.Things I would have changed:
larger air reservoir so that you can shoot two complete 10 rd magazines in .22 cal Removable moderator for more compact storage Foster fitting instead of probe. What others should know:
This is an expensive gun, but there is little out there that offers the features that this gun has. I am always surprised how easy it is to shoot this gun so accurately. The quality is extraordinary, and doesn't leave you wishing for a better fit/finish or wood grips.
I was pleasantly surprised the HW44 came on a nice ballistic nylon(?) zippered gun case. Given the long length of the HW44, I'm glad I won't have to search for one to fit it. Fit and finish is excellent. Some of the videos I watched prior to purchasing it seemed a bit iffy about the synthetic stock, and compared it to a Glock. I was very impressed with the HW44's synthetic parts, stock, trigger, and rails. It fits my hand perfectly. I wish my Glock was as nice. Some videos mentioned wishing the action was a little easier going forward, but I am left handed, because my right hand is partially paralyzed, and I find the right-handed version of the HW44 to be easy to load the magazines, and cock the side lever. I love the trigger on my FX Impact, but now the HW44's trigger has bested it. Although not "whisper quiet", it is very quiet. Yes, it was expensive, but Its quality has me thinking about the HW110.Things I would have changed:
I wish it had come with the quick-change fitting for the fill probe. What others should know:
In the Q&A there were questions about the removability of the moderator, and some conflicting answers. My HW44 arrived today, 02/08/20, and it appears to have two grub screws. I have not attempted to remove the moderator, so I do not know if it is glued on.
Got a question or answer?
first time PCP, what pump would you suggest i buy, have a feeling this will not be my only PCP going forward.
I have a Benjamin - works fine. doubt it matters as you are only pumping to 200 bar.
10/30/2020 - This will be my first PCP powered air gun. Without any experience with the PCP systems is there an estimate of "pumps" needed to bring this pistol up to max pressure? And will the air maintain pressure in the pistol say for a week or so? Thanks for your help.
when I go from 120 to 200 with my Benjamin it takes 27 pumps. I've not seen pressure leak cause drop over timeee.
I have a HW44 pistol and have noticed a power drop from 5.4fp to 4.7fp can this be adjusted and how ?
Weird. my .177 is 10 J (7.4 ft-lb). I don't think adjustment is a simple matter.
To fill your PCP gun:
1.Pick a source of air shown at right
2.If an adapter is needed, one will be shown
3.Add both to your cart to get hooked up
