Things I liked:

These pellets are very uniform in size and shape with a rim around the head watch helps make it fit very tight in the barrel. they hit the target extremely hard with a lot of damage, the hollow point design helps :) Downrange energy and terminal damage would make the Piranha's an excellent hunting pellet.

Things I would have changed:

For the price, Crosman should give at lease 500 pellets instead of 400 :( 750 would be perfect :)

What others should know:

I shot the Piranha pellets through my Gamo Silent Cat 1250 (.177 ) that was converted from springer to a Gas Ram that I purchased from Pyramyd Air. The extra power from the Gas Ram and the hard hitting power of the Piranha pellet make this a very deadly combination.

Things I liked:

These pellets hit about 8" low at 25 yards out of my Diana model 36. I thought my scope was broken until I tried a couple of other pellets. I can't even adjust the scope enough to get it zeroed with these pellets. I inspected my gun but there's nothing I can find that would be deflecting the pellets, it's very strange. They group decently, just very low. I've shot plenty of pellets through this rifle, some more accurate than others, but nothing else that is this far off while still being this consistent. As others have pointed out, they are a very tight fit.

Things I would have changed:

I don't know, it seems like they need to be just a couple of thousandths smaller diameter?

What others should know:

They may work for you, they sure don't for me.

They do not fit in any of my co2 hand guns. The nose of the pellet is a larger diameter than the pellet chamber.

    Things I would have changed:

Make them to fit in 177 airguns because the head size is way too big.

    What others should know:

Don't buy these pellets it is a waste of money. If you have already bought them and are struggling to insert them into your airgun and they won't go, then stop because they can get jammed inside of the barrel. It happened to me. SpringPistonRifleFever LoneWolfStrength

    What others should know:

I bought these in .177 cal a month ago and they are great pellets. My main issue with them is that about 40% of my tin will not fit in my Hatsan Airtact...inconstant head size. Again, great pellet, but inconstant sizing. Will not buy again due to this issue.

    Things I would have changed:

Too large of diameter for my TX200, extremely tight in barrel, very hard to load.

    What others should know:

Order one can at first, they have a large head diameter and would load into my TX200 but took a lot of force to seat in breach.

    Things I liked:

Very consistent pellet, expand very well, penetrate deeply

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really as I don't try to fix what isn't broken.

    What others should know:

I bought these primarily for a Ruger Blackhawk Elite and they shoot very well in that rifle, however they are a VERY snug fit in the barrel and I've stopped using them as they were not practical to load from a pellet pen while hunting. I did take one feral chicken with these pellets with a brain shot from about 20 yards and it preformed as expected for a heavy .177, passed completely through the head and dropped it on the spot. If your gun has a slightly larger bore these may be perfect for you but if you have a tight barrel be aware that there may be better options.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy. With a scoped Daisy 880 I'm getting .3" five shot groups @ 10 yards @ 10 pumps. Killing power? They have plenty, I've killed rabbits with one chest shot @ 100'+/- with said 880. With my Benjamin 397 head shots on racoons @ 10 yards they are lights out.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, they're a great heavy weight pellet.

    What others should know:

These are a little tight in some guns. They feed very smooth in the 880, in the 397 they need a little force to chamber.

Expands well in squirrels. Devastating on small game.

    What others should know:

I was looking for a hollow point that would group as well as the Ultra Mags of the same weight. This isn't it out of my HW 95. By seating the pellet each shot the groups improve some but no where near the Ultra Mags for accuracy and consistency.

    Things I liked:

The machining finish of this pellet into a sawtooth Hollowpoint, the well finished flat shallow cavity of the tail cone, which is synonymous of ALL Crosman Premier pellets. This design of the cavity promotes low drag that gives excellent velocity that continues for a very good distance. The 10.50 grainage weight. I recommend this pellet for magnum springer/gas piston breakbarrel air rifles. No damaged pellets, no fliers during accuracy test.

    Things I would have changed:

NOTHING. Bought this pellet for what it is. I have 5 other .177 air rifles and 27 tins of various grains and head designs. Instead of changing something about this pellet, I would change to a different Premier or other pellet design and appropriate grainage for the power of the air rifle. I would change the tin count to 500, like the other Premiers.

    What others should know:

Shot this pellet chronograph test with my .177 Crosman Nitro Venom at 767, 768, 765, 762, and 758 fps for an average of 764 fps. I primarily purchased this pellet for my .177 Umarex Octane and .177 Ruger Air Magnum. The Umarex Octane 5 shot chronograph average was 874 fps. The Ruger Air Magnum 5 shot average was 911 fps. For all tree air rifle chronograph tests today, the temperature was 55 degrees with wind speed from the west at 18-20 mph, altitude is 149 ft above sea level. I was shooting directly into the wind. I did conduct. I did conduct an accuracy test, from 80 feet, shooting directly into the wind, at a 1 inch target affixed on a 12 inch by 12 inch box shooting the Crosman Nitro Venom. 15 shots shooting directly in to the wind with the rifles right hand rifling spin and the pellets sawtooth hollowpoint, I thought was pretty good. 3 shots did hit the 1 inch target, the other 12 were up to 1 inch from target center. On a calm windless day accuracy would be better. Woodys World.

    Things I liked:

Not a bad pellet. I'm not particularly a fan of any of the gimmicky pellets, and I waited a long time to try the pirhanas. I usually stick with domes and wadcutters. The pirhanas are decently accurate and hard hitting pellets, and I can find them on the store shelf, which is a big plus. I shoot them out of a cheap ($60) springer i keep in the truck. So far, this is the best pellet i have tried in that gun.

    Things I would have changed:

For impact, it ought to just have a flat or semi flat nose. .177 pellets loose velocity too quickly to take advantage of the hollowpoint design much further than 10 yards. Still waiting for a dome with a flattened nose, with good weight. Otherwise, just stick to wadcutters for impact or domes for range.

    What others should know:

Adequate power and accuracy are #1 with airguns. No fancy pellet design is going to increase the lethality of a poorly placed shot. The pirhanas do pretty good in my cheap winchester breakbarrel. About a half inch at ten yards, and easily shoot 5 hour energy bottles at 20-30 yards. I have not tried any quality domes in that gun, and I won't. Just a beater gun i keep in the truck. For best results, try a variety of domes. For a decent pellet you can get on the store shelf, good to plink or inside 25 yards or so to hunt, the pirhanas are good if your gun likes them. Still haven't hunted with these, can't test them on small game until fall.
