The Athlon Midas TAC HD 5-25x56 APRS3 FFP MIL Reticle Riflescope is a great optic for a precision rifle enthusiast or long-distance hunter. It’s a durable scope that is shockproof, waterproof, and argon-purged for fog prevention. Built out of a 34mm one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube, it can handle anything thrown at it from the field.
It transmits plenty of light and delivers a crystal clear image via the advanced multi-coated 56mm objective HD lens. To help the shooter make precision shots at a distance is an etched glass reticle with a .05 MIL center dot with hash marks and lines for range estimation and holdovers.
The Athlon Midas TAC HD 5-25x56 APRS3 First Focal Plane MIL Riflescope utilizes a precision zero stop system. That way, the optic can return to its original zero with a precise stop. It is windage and elevation adjustable via the exposed, capped turrets. They offer a tactile and audible click to ensure accurate adjustments, 1/10 mil at a time. The total elevation adjustment is 32 MILs, the total windage adjustment is 18 MILs, and one click equals 1/10 MIL.

Can’t beat the price. Great starter scope for anyone interested in getting started in long range shooting.
Great scope for the price point. Now own two, and one earlier generation. Run them precession rimfire and precession gas guns. Turrets track consistently, glass is clearer edge to edge than others at double the price point. Have litterly had no issues with any of the three from -40 to 104 degrees. Buddy tried it out as a loaner and went out and purchased one for his comp gun too. Definitely great bang for the buck
Good glass, but the center dot is too small. Use this scope for bench rest competition 22lr.
This is a no fuss optic that delivers exactly as advertised. I have used this one for a competition gas rifle that has been super reliable. Turrets track perfectly for me. The zero stop is easy to set and with a bore sight it was super easy to get on target. This scope works great for beginner or seasoned shooter. It is on the bigger side of optics so just keep in mind that it does have some weight to it.
The product is top notch. It does everything I wanted it to. The scope is better than I expected.
Nice scope for the money. Glass is decent, nice reticle, great zero stop, decent turrets. You spend less and get less, you can spend more and get more. That said this scope will work for most anything you ask of it.
My use case for this scope was 1k and in - it hits every note for that scenario. The turrets are firm enough to cleanly and consistently dial - the reticle is easy to read, well spaced and crisp. The parallax is great and accurate to distance, nothing is too firm or to soft in movement and the glass is extremely clear. If I were to pick some nits, I get a little CA in high contrast situations - but I can always see the target and the floating dot is by far my favorite approach. I don't think there is anything out there that beats the price performance of the Midas TAC for 1000yds and in.
Glass is outstanding. I just set this optic up on my Tikka T3x lite in 7mm mag, and it is a great combination. Mil reticle is crystal clear and easy to track and range. Be sure to torque your scope rings to the correct poundage for the specific set of rings, I nearly cracked the tube because I went a few lbs over.
