This is the future of spring guns -- the gas-piston powerplant. To find a breakbarrel that shoots this smooth, you'd pay a lot more. The Benjamin Titan GP air gun is a bargain in every sense of the word. All you have to do is add pellets, and you're ready to start shooting.

  • Breakbarrel
  • Gas-piston

  • Ambidextrous, ergonomic thumbhole stock

It's an awesome break barrel and with the pellet pen it's a breeze to load and after break in will be quiet as well as deadly

I'm no gunsmith but the trigger fix seems should be how is made to begin with hahah

Scope not fantastic but it works and will be alright till can get better so very nice it came with a scope

Ordering was easy, delivery was better than expected, the wood stock looks fantastic. I may update this after I have fired the gun, can't check accuracy right now, see what I would change.

The gun is depicted with the scope mounted, surprise, first it does not come mounted. Second a picatiny rail or dovetail rail is not supplied. And finally there are NO drilled and tapped holes to mount the rail if it was supplied. I could live with that if the location of missing holes was shown with a dimple or two and a depth that was safe to drill to in the instructions for mounting the scope or with the gun.

What you do in this instance is take it back - better yet this is why you inspect your purchase when you buy or receive it. Obvious flaws such as this indicate QC was not paying attention to what was being produced. This comment should be mute for you, since this should have already been resolved, but is meant for those who are thinking about this or any other air rifle purchase. Don't waste time fixing something that should have been 100 percent out of the box.

No Dove rail? I've never seen one but I guess it's possible. It would have to not only miss the machining step, but the people that blue it and assemble it would also have to miss it. I'd say the QA person too but I doubt they have one ;) I'm guessing you returned it but if not you could drill/tap for a Pict rail meant for some other gun. Just use a scope to est where about you want it, then drill holes that match the rail you bought. You would have to take the gun apart for this because you have to be sure the screws are not sticking out inside. The piston and another part would have an issue if they stuck out. If it were me I'd use a Dremel to cut the screws to just a hair long, then once installed I'd use it to smooth them down to perfection so you have the max thread grip. I'd likely use larger screws that come with it and/or more of them. If you don't I think odds are pretty good it'll sheer them off. These guns are way harder on scopes, mounts and rails than firearms.

Sweet gun. Solid and just feels like good quality. Only exception perhaps being the plastic muzzle shroud (?). But overall really good.

Plastic shroud thing. Trigger is long like people say, but not really an issue. Maybe tougher for a smaller kid.

price... plain and simple

trigger and optics

i bought this air rifle expecting i would have to address the trigger so i ordered a RC bearing when i ordered the rifle... shot one time before i installed bearing. trigger is now much better...could not get scope to adjust and clarity was not good.. i put 150 rounds through it and gave up.. bought a new scope and rings..which was more than the rifle..but now it shoots well.I knew i would be spending more money when i purchased the rifle so i was ok with it since i am just target and pack rat shooting

Chevota Jul 08, 2020

The usual cause of being unable to get the scope on target is because the barrel points down. Even if you can adj the elevation to match it's a bad idea. So if you did that with the new scope I suggest you shim it. You can google it but basically you just add shims under the scope at the rear mount so it tilts down to match the barrel. I think the oem 4x32 scope is just fine for most generic shooting, especially rats, so shimming the oem scope could free up your new one so you could put on a better gun, like a 22LR or whatever :) I usually shoot rats at night so when it's too dark to see thru the scope I use open sights that I put some glow paint on. Just three small but very thick dots, then charge with a flashlight and I'm good to go. Or I use a 22LR with Aguila Colibi ammo, which in my gun is quieter than this airgun :) Best of luck with the rat killin!

Easy cocking because of the longer barrel

The trigger pull makes getting consistent grouping a challenge. I havent yet put two hundred rounds through it so that may change

Chevota Jul 08, 2020

The trigger will not get better, you have to modify it or buy an aftermarket trigger. The latter is nice but too much $ imo. If you want I can send you the info on how to mod the trigger various ways, which imo ends up better than an aftermarket trigger. chevota at hotmail and say what gun you and what you want :)

Accurate. 18ftlbs at the muzzle , Loves Gamo Red fires (yeah, weird right?) Wood looks great, ergos are amazing for the price, shoulders great and feels good. Trigger was heavy and spongey but compared to other break barrels in this price it was actually decent. Do the trigger mod (takes literally 2 mins) and you have a whole new rifle. Love this break barrel you really won't go wrong and if you are reading this then your like me and I did tons of research before buying. I am a rather experienced pcp and air rifle in general shooter and I'm telling you if you want anything under 500$ just get this, you won't beat it.

Lighter trigger.

Might as well order the rc bearing when you order the gun for the mod. World of difference.

The gun really accurate, the two stage trigger really makes the trigger pull smooth, its a bit hard but no problem for strong hands. The shape is great, its smooth and classy for the price.

I would personally make the trigger a bit easier since i have a weak hand. The scope is terrible - wouldn't recommend using; moves 1 foot right every 10 shots after zero.

This air gun is really good for the price and its worth. Just the scope makes me disappointing but if you have a scope that can fit onto a dovetail rail - use it. Also its kinda hard to open the breach, cock the gun, and load a pellet for the first 50 shots- gets easy after 50 shots.

Chevota Jul 08, 2020

I have fixes for all that stuff if you want, which are free. chevota at hotmail and I'll send it. Just tell me what gun and remind me what you want fixed.

- Great packaging with care from Pyramid Air! Double boxed with plenty of wrapping paper to buffer handling. - Fast shipping. - Awesome fit and finish! Good hardware. - The stock ergonomics are wonderful! - With the right pellet choice, groups will be all touching. - Cocking the rifle was smoother and easier than my springer. - Less felt recoil and no "clang"!

- Trigger pull is long but not gritty. 2nd stage adjustment per instructions helped. - Center Point scope focus was not crystal clear, but adequate for plinking or pest control.

It's a Keeper!
Benjamin Titan NP .22
Center Point 4x32 Scope
Out of the box:
Nice wood! Nice fit, finish and blueing! Better than many hunting rifles on shelves in stores. Muzzle is crowned for accuracy! Scope looks solid enough. Exercised the "clicks" on the turrets both ways to loosen things up in a little. All screws into stock were tight.
Cleaned barrel with Ballistol and Kroil oil. First two patches were black. Following that, 5 patches had a slight rust color to them. Then, clean!
CP scope rings are nice. Hardened screws. Rear ring has stop pin that fits nicely into the receiver. Four scope screws for that ring and two for the front ring. Good, hardened hardware all around. Mirror check (Google it) showed scope crosshairs were centered.
Scope mounted and leveled then off for zero! Used Crosman Premier HP for zero and some break-in.
Ran a few shots just to let it diesel and break in a little. No smoke.
For fun, shot at a steel plate at 25 yards. 25 yards. Gong! A little high and left. Scope turret clicks worked fine to zero.
After about 10 shots, I adjusted the second stage trigger screw 1 1/2 turns counter clockwise. Discovered I could pre-set the second stage by pulling 1/4 inch on the trigger, letting off, then breath control and squeeze....surprise "let off" as it should be! Yes, the trigger pull is long! But it is smooth and not "gritty".
One surprise. Had some high flyer shots. These shots were un-staged trigger pulls. The tightest groups with the trigger staged by pulling 1/4", letting off, then squeezing. Outstanding groups st 25 yards right off the bat from a front rest only. Not as hold sensitive as my springer!
Tip on the scope: Loosen the rear lock ring, adjust the the crosshair focus for your eyes, then gently tighten the lock ring snug without damaging the O-ring seal. You can see it start to squeeze or twist out before you damage it. Your zero will probably change if you re-adjust it after this point. That may be the source of many complaints on this scope and rifle not being accurate. The sight picture will move around if the ring is not snug against the eyepiece.
After just a few minutes I was shooting this rifle better than a $99 "springer" from a major chain that has been the cause of much experimenting and frustration. Thanks, Pyramid Air! I "cradle" this rifle when I carry it. Love it!
Shot one round into a cured cedar 4x4 at 25 yards as "pest simulator". The Crosman hollow point went more than an inch into it!

Best pellets so far are Gamo Red Fire polymer tipped and Gamo Rocket BB tipped. The skirts are firmer and the fit to breech is more consistent. Few fliers and smaller groups.
