Very accurate, .5" groups at 50 yards with JSB 18.1's!! It is the perfect size and weight in my opinion. Compact and light enough to make a good hunting rifle but feels well built and solid. I really like the synthetic stock. My only complaint is that when I tighten the stock screw the stock puts too much pressure on the airtube making it flex upwards (this can be fixed in a couple different ways).

Start offering the .177 and .22's in a beech stock. The walnut would be nice as well!

The first scorpion I ordered had a small burr on the muzzle crown which did affect accuracy so it got sent back. Pyramyd Air shipped me a replacement the day after they received my rifle!! With anything you buy there is a chance you may get a dud but the way PA handles these issues is top notch so buy with confidence!!!

I bought the Scorpion synthetic, but would have preferred a wooden stock, which was not available. Upon receiving this version, I was immediately impressed with the stock design. It just feels good and promotes ease of use. The floating barrel was an attribute that originally attracted me to this model, and I think that is a very good feature. Please don't change that. The power level is perfect for FT. This is the most accurate airgun I own. It is also the least expensive. For an air gun enthusiast, that is the definition of value.

Would still prefer the option of a wooden stock.

Mine is a .177, and is silly accurate with AA 10.3 pellets which it shoots at 900fps for about 18.5fpe. Mounting a scope with the appropriate eye relief is easy with the full rail on the BSA rifles. (Most have a gap where the magazine inserts.)

Short but still great length for bipod Great trigger match style once you adjust it. Very easy to load pellets and no scoops. Mines 177 gets 40 shots from 3000 fill.

Put a shroud on it from factory and bigger cocking bolt its little short but it's still great and compact Better marked gauge but it's still good

Very good gun right out of the box. Very well made as all bsa rifles are. Great buy for the money.

Solid feel to the rifle, first class build. Bolt worked well and had no misfeeds with the magazine. Rifle is loud if shooting in a confined area.

Lighten weight of rifle, it is heavy to hold in shooting position for long periods. An internal or integrated sound suppressor would be appreciated.

This is my first PCP and was very impressed on its sturdiness and accuracy. Would highly recommend BSA Scorpion SE.

Very accurate rifle. I got mine in .177 cal, using JSB Heavies 10.34gr I was able to group under a dime-sized group at 55 yards. Bought the single shot tray for Field Target competition and is a breeze to load. It is compact, more in the carbine-sized, but has enough LOP to suit a normal size guy.

A better pressure gauge. It only has marks which are kind of small to read, but at least it gives you an idea of how much pressure you have left. The finish of the synthetic stock will do just fine for tough weather, however if you like fancy, then go for the wood stock.

You will need to tweak the trigger to suit your needs, especially if you are going to use it for Field Target competition. This rifle has a loud rapport, so either you get an LDC or use ear muffs.

Using .177 CPH's, Exacts and Exact Heavies, I get about 17.5-18 FPE which makes around 875 FPS with the heavy pellets; slightly less than advertised, but who cares as long as they're accurate. Great value in the price range. Size: makes my springers look pretty big. All readings were using pellets straight from the box, non sorted. Who knows where they'd be if it took that extra step? 42 of 43 shots ranged from 855-884 FPS with CPH's from roughly 205-115 Bar (how can anyone tell what the real pressures are until you refill) which is what the factory states (42 shots in 177). 36 of 37 from 861-884 from 185-125 Bar. 26 of 27 from 865-884 from 185-135 Bar. A second string produced only 879 FPS with an even tighter spread, 32 of 34 shots with a 13 FPS max spread! Both wood and synthetic stocks are nice. Syn has studs installed. Very nice trigger after adjusting it. Breaks very cleanly (although I have not tried to bring the weight down to a feather weight level).

I'd like to see a manometer that has more range specific to the sweet spot of its pressure so it would be easier to read. Now there are hash marks every 50 Bar and they're pretty small so you can't get much of an idea are you at 115 or 135 for instance. For US and other higher power countries, it'd be nice to keep up with the Jones' and allow an easy way to change its power settings to tweak for different pellets, etc. Other makers are now offering some barrels that come with a permanent shroud to tame the sound, BSA could probably do it (or at least offer a model with it) as well. Mags price would be nicer in the $40 range...how about making us a deal if you buy a spare along with the rifle??? Never a bad idea if everyone used a proprietary foster fill fitting. I had to add a $10 adapter which the Pyramyd rep reminded me about (major bummer had I got the gun and couldn't immediately fill it).

I have had an occasional hammer strike not open the valve. Rarity. When it happened, I pulled the bolt back to recock it and removed the magazine to prevent double loading and shoot the pellet, then on the next cocking I reinstalled the mag (once I didn't and at 50 yards the two pellets still printed closely).

Also, just make sure you are fully and firmly pulling the bolt back in one firm move to prevent any double loading. If you hesitate and go back and forth, you'll might have an issue.

My advice is not to fill beyond 205 or 210 Bar even though they say you can go to 232. I had over 70 shots, but the curve was too large. So somewhere close to 190-130 is likely the sweet spot for .177 Maybe +/-10 Bar if you want shot count (40-50) over the tightest groups (28-32) Different calibers will likely differ.

Pretty nice for a non regulated model. Really hard to justify adding a Huntsman while this seems to do its job, then again, it's only money, right?
