Cold Steel Code 4 Tanto Point (S35VN), Grey, Ambidextrous, Manual

I bought two of these on a bladehq.com sale. I have one to my father and I carry the tanto every single day! Out of the box I was genuinely surprised at the quality and sharpness. I’m buying another soon. Ive been carrying the current one for a little over 2 years. While it looks beat up, it still functions as it did day one. If you’re gonna buy one….. buy two!!!!

I’ve had my old school Code4 since 2013. I think it’s AUS8. Still easy to keep sharp, easy to carry & is used every time I'm in uniform and when I need a thin ‘real’ folder off the clock. Best part it doesn’t trash expensive uniform pants. It sits in my waistband behind a duty belt & I forget it’s there due to its slender but capable size. As the name implies it’s meant for LEO’s. Yes, it’s a very well thought out design.

For its price and size it’s perfect if you’re doing anything that’s wood, plastic or such. It’s 3.5mm blade is good to use as a scrape and trust that it won’t kick back on you. I was impressed with the edge however I do notice a slight decrease in its edge now after almost 2-4 weeks of heavy use. As a maintenance tech this knife is a life saver. And it’s easily cleaned so I can use it for pairing apples after if I so choose.

Found this gem at a bin store for next to nothing in brand new condition. Absolute beauty of a knife. Was a lucky find and swiftly added it to my other Cold Steel blades.

Have this code 4 tanto in my pocket since Christmas 2022 and use it everyday for nothing and everything just keeping it sharp once in awhile and it keeps its edge very well didn’t even need to be adjusted so far its sturdy and stupid good and well worth the money! This might not sound really good to most people but I had a little of a good accident with it cutting the tips of 2 of my fingers needing 10 stitches and the only thing you can really feel is the cold of the blade! Lol I think I will never carry anything else for a long time! I love it!

Bought this to add to my ColdSteel collection for use as an edc for work and around the house. I typically swap out my edc every few weeks and will re sharpen the knife going back into the knife pool to be ready for its next turn. But the Code 4 I carried for months I loved it so much. I didn’t want to swap it out for my any of my previous favorites. It is so thin, light and sleek you hardly know it’s there. Came out of the box hair popping sharp as is typical with ColdSteel products which is a quality that I love about the company. The Code 4 had great fit and finish with rock solid lock up. I great knife to add to any collection.

OmG this is the sharpest knife I ever got. This knife is so light I don’t realize that I am carrying it. Love it.

I can't believe how lightweight this knife is. I concealed my tilite for years when I had to walk through a bad part of town for work. Thankfully, those days are behind me. The code 4 is now a go-to pocket blade. It's a rock solid build, but slim enough that I can comfortably conceal it. Came wicked sharp out of the box.
