I have had this knife for a little over 6 months now and it has been used almost every day for tasks between breaking down boxes, cutting open wild hogs, cutting strap ropes, cutting up steak (after washing it of course). It has been used and abused - AND it is still just as sharp and tight as when I got it.
I took the clip point on a road trip for testing and loved it. So when the Tanto came out I had to get it. It’s a beast of a blade that stays sharp. I personally won’t buy anything less than S35V steel anymore. The finger choil and spine indent make a great grip for close up work. The choil geometry also makes closing a little safer for the index finger. The grip is a lot like the AD-10- which is above average for a folder. I really dig the Atlas Lock system and super smooth flipping ability. The only downer is that I had to soften the edges of the Atlas Lock and some of the spine to make it more pocket and finger friendly, but I do that to many knives. It’s a little pricey, but if you consider the decades of hard use you will get from a top notch blade, it’s not so bad. You won’t be disappointed. Five stars. Good job Cold Steel!

I really don't know how many years I've had this original recon 1!! It use to be a tanto, LoL, it's been sharpened sooooooo many times over the years I've lost the secondary tip.
