I like Cold Steel tomahawks better than the more expensive ones. They do the same job and I've always been happy with their performance. This Tranch Hawk is a very good investment.
good utility chopper. Handle is over-long and permits greater swing force.
It's a thick hunk of metal but it's not overly heavy or unwieldly. The blade is thick so it should be very rugged. The spike is just a huge chunk of pointy steel and looks like it would penetrate the front glacis plate of an Abrams! The handle is long so there's plenty of room for finding your sweet spot. It's easily interchangeable, as well, so if you somehow manage to break it, it's easy to replace. You can also get different colors so you can accessorize with your combat fashion ensemble!
