Cold Steel Voyager Large Tanto Point - Plain Edge (AUS10A), Ambidextrous

This is my review of 5 going on six years. This knife is an absolute unit. I have not been nice to this knife what so ever and it just asks for more, I've dropped this knife a least a thousand times at varying heights (1 foot to 8 feet) and lockup is still tight. I'm not too versed in blade steel but aus10A has been very good to me. As far as sharpening is concerned it takes a good edge, even with a 3.5mm/ .137in thick blade (which is the thickest blade I own) can widdle hair. The profile of this knife on top of looking cool is pretty versatile, being a thicker blade I'm able to use it as a pry bar but the edge is thin enough to get into the connectors for wiring harnesses which we all know are a pain to deal with. The handle is crazy comfortable and especially in the reverse grip. I have only 2 problems with this knife but they're subjective, the overall weight of the knife ) only because of the climate here as well as my wardrobe choice (gym shorts) . Lastly will be the pocket clip, i have ruined every pocket that I've clipped it to (joggers and jeans) it's absurdly tight which could be a good for you but just keep that in mind. All in all I've gotten my moneys worth out of this knife p.s. No paid promotion, its just that good

I purchased this knife lately and I like it so much that it may become my favorite bigger blade soon. Great ergonomics, blade perfectly centered, nice grind, jimping on the spine and nice grippy texture of the handle. If the other versions will start getting jimping too I may buy more. Please fix the carry clip issue by smoothing out the surface under it on the handle. Also, please bring back 3" version again.

Sharp,easy to open. Light. Its everything I wanted in an EDC blade.

I’ve had my Voyager Tanto for over 20 years. I’m partial to the older design, but the quality of this knife is fantastic. From fishing, EDC, cutting boxes, slicing an orange peel for an Old Fashioned, slicing rope, campfire dinners, sharpening stick for marshmallows …you name it! This knife is lightweight and has been a wonderful companion. I took the clip off years ago; I just don’t like ‘em.

Carried a Recon 1 for years including the Recon Mini. This is the blade that I replaced them with. It's extremely sharp when you get it, highly versatile, and feels good in the hand. While I'm still getting used to it, I'm quite happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. I even got it engraved.

I’ve been a Cold Steel customer since 1999. This is my second time purchasing this knife. The first one survived years of abuse before I lost it. I expect this one will be just as durable.

The Voyager lg has been part of my EDC for over 20 years. I own the standard edge, half serrated and full serrated. Carve, cut, hack, slash and baton. Holds a good edge. No issues with any aside from the old plastic clips that used to break off. The newer ones are steel, replaceable and can be mounted for left or right side carry.

This is my 3rd 4" version of the voyager. I still love this knife! It's still the best 4" knife I've owned. Please offer the other sizes you used to carry. I miss the 3" version. It fit in my pockets better. Even so, this one is great!

I've had my Voyager for over 20 years. I still carry it daily and the only thing that I have to do is sharpen it occasionally. The clip is broken, but as a truck driver it's kind of rough on things out here. The handle design has changed a little bit in 20 years obviously, but it's the same knife other than that. I wouldn't trade my Cold Steel for anything.
