Crosman Nitro Piston Conversion, Fits Many Newer Gamo Rifles

This piston fits many different rifles . It is quieter than a metal spring , and generates way less recoil . It' also less damaging to scopes .

The only change is this - Quit producing "springer" air guns and make only "gasser" air guns (nitro piston) .

I own two air rifles with this piston already installed . Crossman F4 .177 ,and a Benjamin prowler .22 . I can't believe the difference in noise and recoil compared to my Gamo shadow whisper . I plan on buying one of these pistons and installing it in my Gamo . There are many tutorials on Youtube showing step by step how to install these pistons . The only special tools needed is a bar clamp to compress the spring or piston assembly to remove or replace the pin during disassembly and assembly .

I ordered the nitro piston on 03/21/2017 and received it on 03/27/2017, Great FREE Shipping! I installed it the same day, and ran into a problem, my trigger would not fire ! I thought I had the wrong piston for my rifle, so i called PyramydAir, unfortunately i had to leave a message, but they did call back the next day to let me know that i had the right piston. I fixed the problem { i had put too much pressure on the piston with a washer causing the trigger group to lockup}. After removing the washer the rifle shoots GREAT!!! Much more power and accuracy, and i thought the spring unit was good, WOW !!! Thanks PyramydAir ,

I had Pyramyd install the nitro piston in my Gamo Silent Cat. I like that it's easier to cock and there is still some recoil but not as bad as the mainspring. The power on my my shots seems to be slightly less but the accuracy of the rifle has improved due to the consistency of power using the nitro piston!

Absolutely nothing!

The rifle seems to warm up around the area where the piston is installed;however, this non issue has not affected the performance of my rifle. I wish I had it installed sooner it's worth it!

At the moment there isn't anything I like, as mine practically exploded on me.

Specific fitment charts for gamos so you know you aren't going to have issues.

Be as sure as possible that this will fit and do as I did and have some test fires with the gun securely strapped down and pull the trigger from a distant with a rope or string. I am glad I did this, even though it did bust through the outer shell of the air rifle, it did fail on me internally and then when my gunsmith was disassembling the air rifle it exploded out the back.

Had my Gamo Whisper Cat converted to the Nitro Piston. Dramatically reduced the noise from the original spring, the spring was painful to the ears without ear protection, still wear ear protection when shooting with the NP installed. Operation is smoother, seems to have more power and accuracy is up with various bullet weights.

everything! i had the conversion done to my gamo whisper dx after the spring broke and i am so happy i did. Not only did it make my gun a true whisper it increased power, fps, and overall performance of my gun.

it made my gun so quiet that i can shoot it and a person on the other side of a wall will have no idea i shot. If u shoot and hunt with your airgun a lot like me then this is a must have for you!
