The Easy Access Trigger Guard Gen 2 is designed to allow better access to the foster fitting making it easier to connect and disconnect when refilling your FX Impact. The long model places the bi-pod further towards the front to significantly increase the stability of your shot. The part is machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized. It is designed to be strong, light weight and handle corrosive environments.
This guard is made a bit lower than the OEM part so that the bottom to the guard covers the fill port on the gun. This protects the fill port and allows a cap to fit flush with the bottom of the guard (cap is not included). In addition, the back end of the trigger guard now lines up with the pistol grip unlike the OEM part.

This pictured 2.2 trigger guard is a beautifully crafted and machined piece of aluminum for the FX Impacts gen1 through M3. The fit is perfect and it's so easy to install. The Arca rail adapter can be added so you can put your gun on a tripod. Both the Picatinny rail (included) and the Arca rail (add on) can be moved around on the T-rail then secured with the Allen set screws when you have it adjusted just right. Putting the Arca rail as far back as possible on the rail makes the gun balance much better.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot allot I would change on this unit although I like the real gen2 units a bit better as they weigh less and are less bulky but do the same exact thing. Still the 2.2 looks nicer if that means anything.
What Others Should KnowSometimes K&L matches the finish to the gun perfectly other times they do not.
This is not a gen 2 trigger guard it is actually a gen2.2 there is quite a bit of difference between the two. It would be nice if the items advertised had accurate descriptions.
