The point of impact of my new Sig Sauer P226 CO@ pellet pistol is over 4 inches below point of aim with the RWS R 10 Match pellets I usually use, so I tried some lighter pellets. The Sig Sauer pellets only raised the point of impact by about 3/4 of an inch, but my group sizes were much larger. I also tried the H&N Sport Match Green and Predator GTO pellets, and both of those also gave much tighter groups than the Sig Sauer Match and they are much cheaper than the the Sig Match pellets. The performance of the Sig Sauer pellets is really disappointing given their ridiculous price.

What Others Should Know

Sig Sauer initial efforts with air pistols are really unimpressive. Neither the pistol nor the pellets perform very well.

You mention the "ridiculous price" of these pellets: $35 for 500 is about 7 cents each. Today, when I filtered down to .177 non-lead wadcutter pellets, only two others come up: Predator GTO and Gamo Match Pellets. The Predators are $14 for 200, or 7 cents each and the Gamo pellets are $11 for 150, which is 7.3 cents each. So, other than the fact that they come 500 to a tin, these are not expensive. It is very spendy to "buy three and get the fourth free", though.

Sig Match Ballistic Alloy pellets from part three of his blog "The next pellet I tried in the Ace was the Sig Match Ballistic Alloy wadcutter. This time I didn’t look at the target through the spotting scope. Until I walked down to change targets I had no idea this revolver had just put 6 pellets into 0.553-inches! And the group is at the exact point of aim!"

WOW, you are putting some really expensive pellets through that CO2 pistol. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, even if you are using silk thread. You need to make a trip to Wally World.
