Very happy with this knife. It came well sharpened. The movement is smooth, and the lock feels very strong. Its been in my pocket everyday.
Something happened to delay my order so I wrote a review that was only a 3. But SOG, being the quality company that they are, made it right. My grandson got the knife, sans engraving, and he loves it. I have 4 SOG knives, and they are all great. Highly recommend SOG for their products and their customer care.
This knife is so very light! Fidgety at its finest! Super slicey!
This may be close to the perfect pocket for me: super light, slim, thin blade, and very fidgety. The action feels so effortless, every other crossbar lock I've had feels like dragging a log through mud. I love the profile and it completely disappears in my pocket. The quibbles: there was no loctite in the pivot, and after one day the blade was extremely loose. I added some and it seems fine now. I'm not a big fan of how the clip comes out past the butt of the knife so much, but not the end of the world. One minor thing is that to me, most of the pictures of this knife make it look like the accent hardware is bright orange, but it's actually a dull red. Still looks good but it would have been cooler with orange. My biggest gripe is with the price. It's a lot for what you're getting: plastic handles and 154CM blade. It doesn't even make sense within SOG's own product line, where a Terminus XR with S35VN steel and g10/cf handles costs less. You can get a US-made knife with 20CV and aluminum handles from another company for basically the same price. If this knife was less expensive I'd give it another star.
