Bought this ammo for squirrel hunting. I loaded up one of my 25 round mags for my 10/22. Went to sight it in and had 3 duds!!! I’ve never had ANY ammo not fire from my 10/22. Pretty disappointed in this ammo. Not reliable.
I will be contacting customer service. I just picked up a box of this, and after the first couple rounds I looked at were loose, I decided to check the whole box. In 80 out of 100 rounds, the bullet is loose to some degree (varying from a little to a lot) in the casing. I simply won't risk my new Ruger with this box. This is not the Super X I remember from years ago.
Horrible product! I bought 4000rds of it during a black Friday deal. Today in the range, I could feel it has a bad primer and brass caught in my barrel of a NEW handgun TWICE!!
Bought from my local gun store Stay AWAY from buying this, primer goes off about 4 bullets then jams, buy federal champion, it’s more expensive but it never let me down, really disappointing makes range days terrible I won’t be buying again.
Runs great in my Ruger 10/22. I have the occasional dud but no big deal. Just cycle a round and all is well. I do pull the snake through about every 50 or so rounds and that seems to help. They are very consistent on the target. Shooting less than an inch spread at 25yds with open sites but going to install a scope because my vision isn't good beyond that. I like these!
Used this for the first time on jackrabbits and these had some awesome take down power. The amount of fur that it made poof in the air was impressive. Small entry hole and hard to find exit hole with lots of damage. Can't wait to test it on some squirrels! Solid product.
Shot 300+ rounds of Super X X22LRHSS1 (37 grain, 1330 fps) through a NIB Taurus TX22 Compact a week ago. Continuous fire with my wife and I swapping magazine loading duties. One failure to fire because of bad primer; one failure to eject because of an obviously undercharged round. Not from the same magazine. Zero other issues with ammo or pistol. Less than 0.67% failure rate.
I purchased six boxes of KHV22LR Super X to shoot in my Smith and Wesson MP22. I have one to two failure to fire with every clip. CCI stingers perform perfect in same gun.
I bought this ammo last week (12-29-23) and experienced about 50% duds on initial firing. After 2nd firing attempt (recycling the duds) I was still at about 20% duds. When they did go off, the rounds were under powered and had trouble cycling the semi auto actions. This was done using 3 different guns (AR-7, Ruger 22/45, Marlin 795). After 45 rounds of frustration I gave up on this ammo. Very disappointing.
