The Athlon Optics Ares ETR UHD 4.5-30x56 Rifle Scope with APLR2 FFP MOA reticle provides excellent performance for hunting and extreme distance shooting. It uses a 56mm objective lens and a high-precision erector system, and it has a 34mm aircraft-grade aluminum one piece tube that is heat treated for increased durability.
The scope is shockproof, waterproof, and argon purged to deliver enhanced fogproofing compared to scopes that use lesser methods of purging. In addition, it uses very low-dispersion UHD glass, advanced fully-multicoated lenses, and XPL protective coating that combine to result in well-defined views and superior resistance from contaminants such as oil and dirt.
The Athlon Optics Ares UHD 4.5-30x56 uses a locking windage turret that helps to prevent unintended adjustments due to bumps or snags, as well as a precision zero stop on the elevation turret and stainless steel interior components for the turrets. Both turrets can be adjusted in a range of 110 MOA, with 0.25 MOA click increments and 25 MOA per rotation.
The APLR2 FFP (first focal plane) MOA reticle uses etched glass for performance and features a central cross, hash marks on the crosshairs out to a distance of 40 MOA in all directions, and a Christmas tree section of holdover dots and markings on the bottom. The illuminated reticle feature can be activated on the portions out to 40 MOA using variable brightness settings.

I place this scope on a 6.5prc in a MDT system. I have used this to shoot well over 1500 yards. I wish the reticle was less busy. I personaly do not like the Christmas tree. Athalon- please make this available in something that just has the ticks on the cross hairs. I personaly dial elevation and hold windage. For the price point.... Spot on super clear, throw lever, amazing zoom, outstanding elevation adjustment to get way out there. Just too busy of a reticle.
