Things I liked: What are you looking for here in review comments? Trying to make a decision to buy or not to buy? Buy it already, you will not regret!

Things I would have changed: Add hour meter... but as it happened for me, I do not use compressor so frequently that I need one. I need to change oil once every three month... and as of now, I am only 9 hours in... but oil is already needs to be changed.

What others should know: Haven't you read what I said already? Buy it already. Stop reading review. this compressor is awesome.

Things I liked: The service technicians at Air Venturi! Now officially the hours in which they are available are Monday thru Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 Eastern time, but when I called and left a message to avoid waiting on the phone, I received a call from a technician after hours to gather information on the problem I was having. (I think her name was Stacy) After this conversation she assured me that she would call again as soon as she had been able to consult with other staff to determine what needed to be done. Again, this time at around 11:00 am, she called back to tell me they wanted it sent in for inspection and determination of the problem. I should inform everyone that UPS had badly damaged the crate as it arrived split at each corner with 6 perforations of the thick walls. There was no visible damage to the compressor, but the crate told the tale of abusive handling during shipment. The compressor would not develop more than 750 psi of pressure.

Things I would have changed: Definitely, I would not ship UPS under any circumstances for this item. They seem to allow resentment to be expressed when shipments are bulky or heavy. I have had many items arrive damaged from this shipper so this comment is not based on this one instance but an extended history of damaged packages and ruined contents. And, like most other reviewers, I would have it equipped with an hour meter.

What others should know: I will not fault Air Venturi or Pyramyd Air concerning the problem I had with the compressor. I do not think it fair to evaluate the unit's initial performance given the ZERO STAR handling received from UPS. Service was 5 star from both Pyramyd and Air Venturi .After shipping the compressor on July 10th to be serviced by the Air Venturi technicians, it arrived at their facility on July 13th. It was shipped back to me on July 18th and received on July 20th. That is fast service! The shipper this time was Fed X and the new shipping container was almost pristine showing reasonable handling on its return. After getting it ready again, it works perfectly and filled my Air Venturi 90 cu. in. tank from 500 psi to 4500 psi in less than 10 minutes. It seems Pyramyd Air has switched shipping providers from Fed-X to UPS. A new gun order just made is shipping UPS. Fed-X was occasionally slow to deliver, but they did not have the damage record of UPS. Keep Pyramyd informed of any damaged shipments.

  • John from USA asked:

I live in a high humidity area and am wondering if the output compressed air will be sufficiently dry to use in my rifles as is, or is and additional moisture filter recommended? If an additional moisture or desiccant filter is suggested, which ones do you recommend?

    • Tyler from USA:

If you use the compressor inside where there is AC, you shouldn't have an issue. That said, outside where it is taking in humid air, a dryer or secondary filter would be a good idea. There are many good options out there.

  • Robert from USA asked:

I've read all the Q&A about moisture filtration. Had anyone inspected a tank after many refills for condensation on the interior?

    • Bob the Mrod from USA:

I just yesterday emptied 2 tanks and remove valves no moisture so I removed the 2 pipes that keeps trash and moisture from leaving tank and messing up a breather for instance. Put the valve back on and refilled the tanks and turned them over and opened the valves ever so slowly to see if there was any moisture in the tank, None came out. The ambient temp was 96 and humidity was 95, very impressive.

  • Joe from USA asked:

Recently purchased Hatsan AT44W-10 Long and Air Venturi compressor. Everything works fine but the air pressure gage on the AT44 and the compressor don't track. I have to set the cutoff on the compressor to 220 bar for the gage on the AT44 to indicate 200 bar. Which one is more accurate?

    • Robert from USA:

No telling. The tiny gages on air rifles are not terribly accurate, but I'd play it safe and let the higher number dictate.
