Air Arms S410/S510 Magazine, .22 Reviews

Works better than Marauder or Daystate magazines I have used, but not better than HW100 or FX Dreamline magazines. It is easy to load, the clicks are quite positive, you can rotate the magazine in either direction, the pellets drop right in, and once loaded in the s510sx it feeds very well. No jams except for wadcutters. The magazine does not feed wadcutters.

FX and HW100 magazines are open and the user can drop the pellets straight in. This magazine cannot be opened up like FX magazines. The magazine should be able to hold a few more pellets in .22. It holds 10 as it is. An average number of shots, but if I could I would increase the number.

The magazines are quite expensive, but you get two with the gun. I bought a spare magazine not noticing the rifle came with two.

Very precise, extremely well made, works perfectly. This is a third magazine for my Air Arms .22 cal rifle five stars ??

If you need an additional magazine this will be perfect for you. Very pricey for what you get, but its Air Arms! You get what you pay for.

A very nice and simple design. Easy to load pellets without tools. Doesn't tire out hand trying to hold cylinder back against spring like other brands. 10 round capacity in .22 cal

Highly visible mark for helping to know where last round is. Lower cost by a factor of 2.

If mag cylinder seems a little difficult to rotate, I recommend checking the tiny spring that holds the ball bearing against the cylinder detent. One of five mags I purchased was difficult to rotate. It had a double spring which resulted in twice the force pushing against the cylinder detent . Separated the springs and all is well. And now I have a spare spring.

I like being able to see my pellets.

In my old mag, I had to push my pellets in with something BUT, they stayed in place when I carried the mag in a pocket. With the new mag, the pellets fall into place easily but they also fall out. If I'm going to put this in a pocket I have to load 9 and leave one hole empty. I like the old one better

Very easy to load

A last shot indicator.. A lot of time there is no pellet in magazine when you fire. Of course you can see but , not always do you look when you are trying to line up on another quick shot, and then if you are not aware, (not notice the difference in sound) you may do it again. I know this. And the pellet falling our in your pocket or when doing a quick reload . Not to beat a dead horse, but very Expensive for not having either of the above features

Some rounds won't fit in it, like the poly tip rounds. They are to long for it to function

Reliability, durability and simplicity. I've dropped my magazine a few times and it had no issues. It cycles very smooth. It's design will make it last because it's not spring loaded to make it cycle.

Make it less expensive, it's not gold plated ya know!

Get a couple of these with your air arms, loading is not fun so it's good to have enough mags for your hunt.

Works well and easy to use. Rotates very smooth and haven't seen any issues with accuracy using the magazine vs loading single rounds.

Price is double other manufacture repeater magazines.

The last pellet will fall out once you fully load the magazine unless you put it in the receiver or if carrying it in your gun case or pocket you need to rotate the wheel have way between the loading hole to prevent this. Just remember to index the loading hole properly before installing it into the receiver.

I don't know how else to improve rubber O ring retainer that holds pellets in place. They tend to break after several years of use. I mean use as in use. Mine lasted about 2 years over 2000 rounds.

Pyramid air is so generous. After mine broke, I called them up to order the retainer rubber expecting a $$$$. I was told by Derek, he'll mail me 3 "O" rings free of charge. That's great. Ever since I have been their customer, they have always readily able to help me with my problems and replacement parts. Pyramid air is so reputable company as far as my experience is concerned. I'll be looking forward to my "O" rings and have endless fun shooting my air arms 510. Thanks Derek.

The quality of the wheel and plastic looks like the original

I would like for someone to test these before they send it. Mine had an issue with the fitting, it doesn't go in as easy as the original one. I have to use 8/10 strength to push it in or take it out compared to 2/10 strength for the original

Seeing how much it costs, these should already be tested and guaranteed to fit perfectly to the rifle.

loading is easy.

It would be nice if there was slide on the mag to keep a pellet from falling out when it was in my pocket.

Everything, this is the nicest clip out there. Its light, protects pellets from getting wet or dirty while hunting or shooting in nasty conditions.
