Sturdy, accepts various size targets. Does the job intended perfectly!
Things I would have changed:Nothing.
What others should know:I'm a 61 year old juvenile deliquent who's only been into airgunning a few months, so this may not be new to anyone. However, I've found that you can buy 110 lb. card stock,(250 sheets 8.5" x 11", about 15 bucks) at Staples and print off any targets you wish, even your favorite terrorists! Get some wadcutters and have a blast for hours cutting clean holes in very professional targets. A great product. No assembly, it does the job and should last for years. As always PA provided great service.

Completely stops the pellet dead in it's tracks. Even when shooting from 10 yards, no bounce-backs or even pellet fragments. Can stop and kind of pellet (or .22 bullet), doesn't matter if they're pointed like in most other traps. Very heavy, so you know it's sturdy. Thick steel. Not one bit of plastic. Great clip included. If it becomes broken buy a shot, a regular clipboard clip should suffice. For a backyard shooter like myself out to 50 yards, this thing is perfect. The opening is big enough to hold a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper. If you wish to print targets off the internet, I would suggest a cardboard backing; just to keep the target(s) secure. No assembly. Not very loud.
Things I would have changed:Possibly elevate the shooting area a little more, but that might make it inconvenient for most.
What others should know:It is almost as much fun emptying this thing as it is shooting it. ALL of the pellets you shot are captured, and dropped into a little reservoir that is easy to empty (tip the trap and take them out). The pellets are paper thin. It is amazing how well this trap works. If you are looking for a nice, well built trap for shooting targets, then this is your top choice. Remember, always wear safety glasses and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER shoot BB's at this target. They WILL come back and hit you. Not fun.

Stronger and Heavy duty, better than the rest - it can take it ! .22 cal.pellets looked like fish scales !
Things I would have changed:Drill and tap a plug to ease the removal of dead pellets from the trap. A better holder / clip or inculde an extra clip to hold the paper.

The Champion Heavy Duty Metal Trap is the best trap I have found. It's large enough for a 8 1/2" X 11" piece of paper with room on the sides and top and bottom. I use it for a Crosman 357W airgun revolver, 6". It does a great job of stopping the pellets traveling just under 700 fps. I bought a couple of cheaper traps and was surprised on how small they were. This is worth the extra money.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.

It's a steel box It stops .177 Pellets effectively at 1000fps it has a target clip It's black
Things I would have changed:Provide and extra clip especially for the price. Sighting in I always seem to shho the cli some how. Make it taller to accomodate standard trgets. Add some sound dampening to the outside rear wall.
What others should know:Lead splatter will pepper your targets from behind given enough velocity.
I do think it's one of the best small traps on the market but it's a steal box with an angled rear wall like the big boys. I think they can either add more value or lower the price a bit.

This IS a heavy duty trap, and high velocity .22 pellets splatter on it like wax without doing any more than creating silver hit marks. No doubt in my mind this trap is good for any air gun up to .22 caliber and for rimfire 22's as it claims. As far as noise is concerned as pointed out by one reviewer, I guess if your in an apartment or have fussy neighbors, it may be a problem, but most of the air and Co2 guns make more noise than the projectile hitting this trap. I guess it all depends on your individual situation.
Things I would have changed:The method of mounting targets. If used in a basement or other enclosed building and wind is not an issue, no problem. When outside however, wind will blow the bottom of the target all over the place. A very simple fix would have been to weld a narrow piece of "u" channel across the bottom of the trap just to slide a piece of cardboard into and the top could be affixed with the included target hanger. Then staple or tape the target to the cardboard. I know this may be nitpicking but......there you have it.
What others should know:If your using this trap outside or inside, remember that it's only about 11 inches wide and similar in height. If shooting standing with a handgun or rifle, make sure you are able to keep your shots in the trap or have an additional area behind the trap that is not likely to cause damage to you or others in case of a miss.

Super sturdy - it's designed for .22 caliber firearms. Easily holds paper airgun targets
Things I would have changed:Not a thing.
What others should know:Great, easily portable trap.

heavy duty built, I have over 14 air guns from springers to pcp, the trap stops them all with no problems.
Things I would have changed:The trap is a little noisy on impact. I used rubber undercoating on the outside back plate and now it has a quite thump and rust protection on the out side.

Very sturdy, well built.
Things I would have changed:It would be perfect if it had about 3 more inches of target area (vertically) for large target sheets. Also a bit overpriced, but you will never have to buy another one.
What others should know:You will definately get lead splatter out of it especially from higher powered rifles, so be safe when shooting closer than 10 meters.

Great for plinking. Over 500 rounds just paing damage.

heavy duty. well made. i have springers, co2 and pump guns the trap catches them all. i use it in the house at 10 meters distance and couldn't ask for better.
Things I would have changed:maybe a handle on top to move it around with.
What others should know:if you like to shoot at home get one.

Very sturdy welded construction. The back plate (where the pellets hit) appears to be 10 gauge (.134" thick) steel, more than enough to repel almost anything shot from an airgun.
Things I would have changed:There is less than $5.00 worth of steel in this trap and the layout and fabrication is not terribly complex. I think the price is hard to justify. That said, there is probably not a better-made steel trap on the market.
What others should know:The powder-coating will not stand up to even low-powered shots. I suspect that this will lead to rusting over time; however, I don't really have another suggestion for a finish. Also, despite the sloping rear plate and curved trap at the bottom, lead shards can still ricochet. Use eye protection!

well,is sure is a heavy duty trap...it was made for .22 rim fire ammunition,so you know it will take any air rifle or pistol you own,for sure...I shot my talon .22 compress air, then i switch it to CO2,,,no problema,so when i shoot my eb22 at it it was like nothing.
Things I would have changed:NOTHING at all,it is what it is,,,,A HEAVY DUTY TRAP.
What others should know:indoor shooting is a little noisey..it to be expeted of such a heavy duty trap,,I fix it with some rubber and velcro.,,it will last for ever, you will go before this baby goes.you know.

Really sturdy, heavy, should last for years.
Things I would have changed:The instructions for assembly were not developed well, but anyone who is slightly mechanical should be able to figure it out (there's only 4 main pieces). Also, the rolled metal lip on the bottom face of the target extends too far into the shooting area, thus reducing the available shooting area by a couple of inches. Great product but I feel it's worth maybe $50.
What others should know:This target is pretty loud and destroys the pellet on impact so if you shoot with this trap at close range (15 - 20 yds) I'd advise wearing eye protection because ricochets have landed on my shooting table at that distance.

It's built really stout. Nice target clip. It should last a lifetime catching pellets.
Things I would have changed:A better set of instructions. I couldn't figure out the target holder at first. For some reason, it was on backwards. No problem really; just lift off and turn around.
What others should know:Pricey but worry free. Just what I wanted. I don't regret spending the money.

Very solid. No assembly required. I got this for my new 1000fps spring gun and it works great.
Things I would have changed:Some built-in noise dampening. Price is a little high.
What others should know:I dealt with the noise issue by going to my local home supply store and getting two sand bags. You sit the trap on top of one and you lay the other sand bag against the back and it dampens out the noise pretty well. Instead of a CLANG, you get a clank.

I only shoot indoors for various reasons this trap puts my mind at ease knowing it wont loosen any weld joints like my Gamo trap did
What others should know:With a combination of a good back stop and this trap fire away to your hearts content it'll eat up anything you throw at it

Very sturdy. Can be used for .22LR as well as pellets.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.
What others should know:It's heavy, so it may be too much for young kids or ladies to lug around.

The trap is easy to use and does exactly what it should--hang targets and trap pellets! It's also extremely sturdy; I expect it to last a lifetime.
Things I would have changed:I didn't like the ringing sound the trap made each time a pellet hit, so I bought a sheet of Cascade Audio VB-2HD sound-damping material, cut one panel to wrap over the back side of the top, back, bottom and lower front lip of the trap, and another panel for each the side of the trap. Now the pellets just thud, and I have a cool, custom product!
