Summary: Perfect size/Quiet/ Secure/Simple/Versatile
My 3-year search for the perfect pack has finally come to an end. Since I switched to saddle hunting, I have yet to find the right pack to help me achieve the minimalist experience I’ve been looking for. Traditional back packs are great, but most cannot fit a saddle platform inside. The packs that are big enough for the platform typically do not have a practical solution to carry climbing sticks/ climbing spikes. Historically, I’ve been forced to get creative and modify my packs to accommodate these needs, leaving me looking, feeling and sounding like a clanky pack mule on my way into the woods.
Surprisingly, the DoubleBack Xtreme is sized just right and is hunt-ready, right out of the box. It allows me to quietly and securely haul my platform and climbing spikes to the tree, along with space and compartments for anything else that I may need in the woods. The versatility of the pack allows for many different setup options. Being sized just right, no matter how you use it, you can be certain your gear will be secure and transported quietly. Fantastic job with this. I’m excited to use it this season!

Quiet pack
Wish it had more enteral side pockets like the smaller version and more of a beaver tail for guys that like to strap clothes to the pack

My grandson is so happy I bought that for him
He is really big into hunting deer , ducks , dove . Actually anything in season ! He really loves that backpack. He is 19 and he tells me all the time about it and how great it is for his gun and bow .

I like the ability to load all the stuff I need to saddle hunt. The straps allow me to do several different ways of loading equipment. Also my favorite thing I like is the way it blends in to your environment.

This pack is set up for saddle hunting. I bought it for my saddle. I can get everything in it for an all day sit.
The pack is very comfortable. I can pack my bow or my rifle with ease.

The only reason I’m giving it just 4 stars is because of the weight of the pack by itself which really isn’t that big of a deal other than that its comfortable very adaptable to my hunting needs , Deer season is coming to a close here in Georgia so I’m looking forward to putting it to use for chasing coyotes .

Holds my 4 sticks and saddle platform easily in the back. Tons of room for gear inside. Material is soft and quiet but doesn’t seem fragile.

This pack is as advertised. I like the amount of room and the added strapping on the back to carry the heavier December coat in New England. I Hope that CS will add pouches and gear that can attach to the belt and the straps that are made of the same quit material. Lashing straps near the top of the pack would be useful.

This pack has more than enough room for all my saddle gear and sticks. It’s well made, quiet and has excellent storage.
