Spent a good amount of time looking for a bag that would securely, quickly, and silently hold a platform and four climbing sticks for my saddle setup. I’ve been very happy with this pack. It hits all the aforementioned marks, but is also very well made and utilizes an effective camo pattern. 10/10

Pack is very quiet is extremely quiet and plenty big enough to pack in late season layers. It compresses down flat when in the tree, and easily packs 4 beast sticks plus any ropes/gear.

Outside material of pack is quiet, but then the inside top sounds like a plastic bag is stuffed in here! Why would they do that? I’m 6’3 245lbs the chest strap and hip belts are maxed out and barely fit, can’t wear it with anything more than light clothes, very disappointing! Easy fix for them to add a little longer webbing. The layout is is great, the ability to carry my saddle and one stick with my bow attached is great for biking back into public lands. Just wish the straps were longer or size options for a $240 pack

I grabbed one of these bags this summer and took it on a camping trip, then pre-season scouting, and now it’s in the stand. It’s quiet, has a great camo pattern, and doesn’t reflect light, but my favorite features are the thoughtfully placed compartments inside and outside of the bag! My favorite 2 pouches are inside the top flap. When you open your bag, they lay perfectly open without spilling your gear.

I knew the quality would be there because everything I’ve purchased from COS has been top notch and I wasn’t disappointed when it arrived. The cat’s meow for my type of hunting. Thanks guys for offering top tier gear for affordable prices

I’m a saddle hunter and owned alot of different backpacks, but not one like is one. It is by far the best back out there.

What I been looking for, actually everything I’ve bought from COS has been great. Currently waiting for more items to be available

Summary: Perfect size/Quiet/ Secure/Simple/Versatile
My 3-year search for the perfect pack has finally come to an end. Since I switched to saddle hunting, I have yet to find the right pack to help me achieve the minimalist experience I’ve been looking for. Traditional back packs are great, but most cannot fit a saddle platform inside. The packs that are big enough for the platform typically do not have a practical solution to carry climbing sticks/ climbing spikes. Historically, I’ve been forced to get creative and modify my packs to accommodate these needs, leaving me looking, feeling and sounding like a clanky pack mule on my way into the woods.
Surprisingly, the DoubleBack Xtreme is sized just right and is hunt-ready, right out of the box. It allows me to quietly and securely haul my platform and climbing spikes to the tree, along with space and compartments for anything else that I may need in the woods. The versatility of the pack allows for many different setup options. Being sized just right, no matter how you use it, you can be certain your gear will be secure and transported quietly. Fantastic job with this. I’m excited to use it this season!
