I would describe this as a big, plush, relatively warm (but not too warm) wool-ish hoody. ITS QUIET! As a ground and/or spot-n-stalk hunter literally nothing else matters more to me. I wear a lot of 100% wool garments in the past which are great for firearm hunting but I like to feel a little more stealth with my bow in my hand. I wore this for a whole season and loved it. No nonsense, just quiet. As advertised.

Bought this after my season closed so haven’t been able to test yet. That being said, you can immediately feel the quality in this jacket. I’m not someone to go overboard w layers, usually I’ve got a light wool base layer and then a fleece hoody. In super cold I’ll toss a vest on over that before my outer layer. Really like the stream lined feel of this jacket, it seems like it will be perfect for any hunt w temps below freezing. It might be just a touch long for my torso but I need the shoulder space. Ordered an XL (5’7” 195-205 lbs.) and I think it’s gonna do the trick . The warmth plus the wind blocker covers multiple bases for me so I won’t need to wear more than my base layer and fleece. Great product that I’m excited to out to work.

Recently wore the jacket in the Black Hills, SD deer hunting it was windy and cold the jacket performed as advertised. Blocks the wind and extremely warm. I recommend this jacket.

Used this year during Ohio Bowhunting. Great jacket, super quiet, very warm & blocked wind. Only things I would change is make the hood removable & front zipper have a storm flap, that was the only area i felt any wind. Overall great & price great

This jacket is a bowhunter’s dream. Warm, tether opening in the back, good pockets, and most of all quiet. It covers the lower back well keeping you warm. Size up one size to layer underneath (XL for me was perfect). Thank you for supporting our Veterans and First Responders!

After owning a Cabelas Berber hunting outfit for years I finally wore it out. Finding a quality replacement outfit was next to impossible until I found the “Code of Silence” website. Bingo, they had exactly what I was looking for, great price, excellent quality and the camouflage design is perfect! I just ordered matching pants and expect delivery in a couple days, can’t ask for better service!

What can you say. This replaced my Sitka fanatic and I’ve never looked back. Inner lining on hood is a little noisy in the ears but nothing horrible.

love everything about it for warmth and fit. Two things i would like to see is a two way zipper, jacket does bunch up a little when sitting and I am a ground hunter so maybe more browns like the forest floor in the camo. as far as warmth, fit, and Quality, not a single complaint from me.

Very impressed so far. Fit, warmth and wind performance is some the best I have worn in while.
I pack this Jacket and the Versa pants in.
To give an example I walk in, light weight pants and merino wool thermal top only (Walk in cold sit, warm. )
And only bring the Versa Jacket and Pants.
Never had more wind protection with so little bulk.
This is honestly some of the best cold weather hunting apparel I have used in 20+ years.

Just got my COS gear in the mail today… upon trying it all on I’m blown away. Really awesome stuff. I am 5’9 220. I went with the XL and it will be perfect. I do have long arms for my height so this size worked out great. I will be able to easily fit a wool sweater or hoodie underneath with ease. Don’t know if I’ll need it though! I’ve owned Sitka Fanatic gear and this is every bit as quality. Maybe not all the bells and whistles but comparable in weight for sure. For a lot less money. Not to mention the shipping was lightening fast. COS has a customer in me. That’s for sure.

After one season of use this jacket is my go to jacket for any cold weather sits. With layers it can get you all the way through the season here in the upper Midwest. It is on the heavy side so carrying it in to the stand can become slightly annoying but it’s a downside I’ll gladly deal with for how well it performs.

I got my Zone 7 versa jacket in the middle of winter last year. I had called and asked questions about sizing and I was given excellent advice by Darrin. He couldn’t be more helpful. This jacket and pants are the perfect weight and super comfortable. Plus I used it to sneak up on a buddy. It blends so well with the woods! I’m a recurve bow guy and I had no interference with the clothing.
