Things I liked:

The scope itself is very clear and has good adjustment for eye relief. The illuminated reticle is really nice for those twilight shots that or when a garment is in the shadows.

Things I would have changed:

The turret set up is a bit hard to get used to. The scope I got has lock down rings. I liked the old style that pulled out to unlock.

What others should know:

Scopes of this magnification have a limited amount of windage and elevation adjustment. Be sure your air rifle is not a bad drooper or you will have problems sighting it in without base and ring modifications.

Things I liked:

Absolutely love this scope! Very clear glass, wonderful reticle, lightweight and not too long.

Things I would have changed:

Turrets are just a little bit mushy, but tactile.I would have preferred no turret caps personally, but not a deal breaker.

What others should know:

Fantastic scope! I would certainly buy it again, and probably will for a different rifle.

    Things I liked:

Clear, great reticle. Small and looks great on my Impact m3. This scope rivals all my Leupold vx3's, Nikon Monarchs, and Burris Signatures. In fact I like it so much some of those scopes will be replaced by this one.

    Things I would have changed:

I consider myself stronger than average and especially grip strength. But I will tell you, twisting the endcap is hard to turn on the illumination. Especially if your fingers are wet or sweaty. I put on the side focus ring and that makes it even harder to twist on the light. Once its on it's amazing for night and low light conditions, I don't know how I every lived without this for night pest control. I usually leave it on the dimmest setting, otherwise it can block out the sight picture when its dark out.

    What others should know:

Don't hesitate to buy this scope. I'm a scope snob and absolutely have no issues or qualms with the picture, focus, reticle, or size.

    Things I liked:

This was my first high end scope and I was not disappointed. Optical clarity is amazing. For me, it has an almost perfect reticle. The illumination is really nice, not overpowering. Large wheel side focus is awesome. Magnification range is perfect. You can tell at a glance where you are in turret adjustment. Just an amazing scope.

    Things I would have changed:

There is always room for improvement. Everything is really stiff. Turning on reticle is challenging. If the reticle was extended vertically it would allow longer range holdovers. The turret zero isn't free enough when completely loosened to avoid changing turret settings. I don't care for the see through caps. Turret caps were really poorly 1/2 painted and flaking inside.

    What others should know:

In spite of all those concerns, I would buy again. They can all be overcome leaving you with an excellent scope! I tried to downgrade this reviews overall rating to a 4, but couldn't.

    Things I liked:

Everything!! Clear glass, a perfect reticle for the ballistic curve of a pellet rifle. Small, light, and this is my fourth Airmax scope. In over 30 years shooting springer air rifles I have went through many scopes, tried them all and the Hawke Airmax is the only one that is reliable and does not self destruct mounted on a spring air rifle. Element Optics are in the process of replacing my Helix scope at the moment as it also vibrated the front glass loose allowing the sealing O ring to flop around in the front bell of the scope. Quite simply these things do not happen with an Airmax. I have ordered another of these to replace the Helix .

    Things I would have changed:

I suppose a more accurate parallax ranging system, however no scope even a 3000 dollar field target scope is real accurate and one does have to use an aftermarket parallax wheel and make your own range marks and this will vary scope to scope. Otherwise the parallax adjustment is precise and clear and great for regular target shooting, plinking and hunting. Not all shooters are like myself shooting sugar cubes at 50 yards.

    What others should know:

If you want a really good scope that will withstand even a Magnum Springer such as the Gamo magnum, the Diana 350, the 460, or something like the Hatsan sniper, do not waste time and money with other scopes. Airmax is rated for springer air rifles and my Airmax scopes serve me well. They hold zero, they adjust quickly and surely and I do not have to worry about all the resulting damage other scopes tend to have happen sooner or later. Airmax scopes are the only scope I now even consider for any springer air rifle.

    Things I liked:

This is my second Hawke scope. I love the optics quality and the reticle is as good as any scope I have ever owned. These Hawke scopes punch way above their price point. I mounted this scope on my Benjamin Akela.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

    This scope tracks perfectly.

Reset to zero feature on torrents, fully coated lenses, positive clicks on torrents, reticle is easy to use, focus wheel is easy to use.

    Things I would have changed:

At this price point I think this scope is well equipped and high quality. It is optically excellent and easy to use.

    What others should know:

Lots of usability in this scope. You will not be disappointed in the purchase.

Nice compact scope. I mounted on my TX200 and works great. Once you try a Hawke scope, you will never look back.

    Things I would have changed:

It will be great if this scope includes the Flip-up covers like the Sidewinder. I will buy that covers in the future.

    What others should know:

I live in Ecuador, a cousin brought me the scope. I had some concerns about the ITAR issues but my cousin told me that he haven't had any problem in the airport. So he traveled outside of US with no problems carrying the scope.

    Things I liked:

This scope is on my Diana 56t Target Hunter in .22 caliber. The scope has clear optics and a usable parallax adjustment. It is a compact size and fits well on the gun and provides ample clearance for loading the pellet in the breach.

    Things I would have changed:

The reticle only covers part of the field of view and the brightness settings are difficult to adjust and hard to see.

    What others should know:

The optics are not as bright and clear as my Leupold 6.5-20 EFR scope. The Leupold has a fine duplex reticle that is not as versatile for an airgun with limited power.
