These shells fit both my Blued and Nickel Schofield 3 Revolvers perfectly and improve accuracy over BBs. Shells accept pellets easily and snugly. Easy to identify from my BB shells because there is no grey plastic tip. Also, these pellet shells load from the rear of the shell rather than the front like the BB shells. These pellet shells are a nice upgrade from the BB shells.
Things I would have changed:Nothing.
What others should know:Pellet shells I bought on Amazon (Black Ops Exterminator Pellet Revolver Shells), which some site claimed to fit the Schofield 3, did not fit. I suggest you only buy pellet shells for your Schofield 3 only from Pyramyd Air to ensure workability - and buy a lot of them! I further suggest purchasing 4 or more Webley MK IV (PY-A-5551) Speed Loaders and the Pellet Pen loader (PY-A-2934).

Use in my 5” Schofield revolver with steel BB’s. Got 52 shots over 450 fps on 1 CO2 cylinder- increases fps about 75 fps over the standard BB cartridges because the BB is loaded in the back of the cartridge, not the front. Another benefit is you can load the cartridges with BB’s in the cylinder, no need to dump to reload.

These are great for pellets, but also give the .177 BB's an extra boost of power, by adding more length to the barrel versus the BB cartridges. They work with the speed loader and makes reloads faster. These cartridges have some weight, not lightweight cast Metal or plastic, but maybe real steel. Check'em out!

Absolutely necessary. The BB shells aren't even close. They either should've made two separate versions, or just made it a pellet shooter with a rifled barrel. If you're gonna shoot BB's put them in the pellet shells.

You can't have a pellet gun without extra rounds. These are a great compliment to the Schoffield.
