Portable/Foldable, works well indoors and outdoors, and very accurate - was able to compare to a friend's much more expensive unit. All you really need to understand the performance of your airgun

VERY HIGH GRADE STUFF YOU NEED IT IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW YOUR AIR GUN IS PERFORMING BUT ITS NOT JUST FOR AIR GUNS. ANYTHING THAT CAN FIT THROUGH THE CHRONOGRAPH. YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS TRUST ME FOLKS.

It feels sturdy and lasts a really long time on one battery! Has helped a lot.

Sometimes when you close it you can pinch the wire that connects the second eye. But if you watch when you close it it won't happen.

BUY ONE!! A chronograph is so helpful! I've played with my ,marauder settings and had it shooting very inefficiently. With this chrony I got it almost right and shooting 40-50 shots consistently! I put all the numbers on my tablet and then got a app for charts and graphs, and it helps even more getting a grasp of everything.

Perhaps a light sensitivity adjustment for indoor use.

I had to put two spotlights above it to use it indoors. I have a 10yd indoor range so I do most of the chrony testing indoors. It still doesn't work on every shot. I might need to do some adjusting of the illumination.

In a word: Simplicity. The unit is also accurate (I compared it to my PACT chrono).

I'd shroud the wiring; it could be possible to crimp/cut/damage the wiring or insulation if one weren't attentive when closing-up the unit.

This is the unit to own for those quick checks & as an aid in airgun tuning. Everything fits easily in a small tote or range bag.

Offer it for cheaper or at least include light diffusers.

You cannot use these in a fluorescent lit room but halogen worked fine for me.

Easy and simple to use and ok value for money. High quality metal construction. Compact size, just fold it together when not in use. Brilliant!

1. One model should read both feet and meters... 2. A manual that actually can be read.. 3. Lower price...it is after all a very simple construction, basically consisting of two lightmeters, wire and display!

Difficult to find a reason to buy a more expensive model unless you have very, very special needs.
Though easy to figure out how to set up; The manual is a joke! Some barely readable papers with half of the text missing from the pages..(manufacturer should at least buy a new xerox machine..).

The printed instructions could be a little more clear, visually. But that's not much to complain about

If using indoors and the light outside isn't bright enough to light up the room it will give a lot of error readings or miss the shot completely. An overcast day seems to cause problems but a really cloudy day not so much

If you use indoors you need a good light source and not florescent light.

I prettier box? Since it all store's nicely in it's box that is what I store it in. It would be nice if it was shiny of something.

Very compact unit, and simply user friendly. This is the second F-1 Shooting Chrony that I have owned. My first one was so old that I could not hook up a Chrony Printer or a remote to it.

A very good tool if you are an air gunner, or a re loader.

If your a reloader this machine is a must, plus you can check factory loads. I have had mine for so long I can't remember when I bought it, and it has served me well. would not hesitate to purchase another one.

The simplest device ever. Even after shooting it accidentaly once, it seems to be still functioning fine as frogs hair.

A better method for storing the light defusers and rods. The CRONY folds up nicel and compact, but the defuser and rods are a handful of loose parts, that don't want to return to thier box right.

You MUST have a crony if you realy want to KNOW what your Bow or Airgun is doing.

pretty cool tool, allows you to keep track of the peformance of your guns at a reasonable cost

Works as advertised. Now I know how fast my guns "won't" shoot...lol I guess it's the same for all of the chrony's, but you need good light for it to work properly. I tried it under a shelter with overhead lights and no dice...but in daylight it works fine. Good item to have.

Accurate, simple to set-up and operate, works well in varying light conditions.Very few reading errors. Love the fact that it can be mounted on standard camera tripod. Great product!

I would have placed clear protective plate in front of read-out screen and definitely a metal protective plate over second sensor.

This is an item every air gunner should own. It works great in most lighting conditions. I have gotten very few error readings due to outdoor lighting. Indoors, I use inexpensive LED lights. Works perfectly. Just make sure you don't have any fluorescent lights on near the chrony. I placed duct seal in front of second sensor. It is vulnerable, especially if you plan to use this for down range testing. Have to record each shot manually to figure out Avg. S.D. and E.S. Not a big deal, especially for such a small amount of money.

Simply works every time. Outdoors in the shade, the diffusors were not needed. Virtually no misses or errors, even with .177 pellets. I was very impressed.

You can't go wrong if your looking for a basic device. It performs flawlessly.

More sensitive in low light. Seems to need bright sunlight???

I have only used it in bright sunlight. I dont know if another simple light sourse would work but it doesnt work if it is too cloudy or low light but when it works it works!!
