Things I liked:

Shooting function of the mag.

Things I would have changed:

Drill a 3/16th hole above the tension spring in the locked loading position. You can load the magazine five times fast as loading the it from the top one BB at a time in the original configuration.

What others should know:

Make the magazine great after drilling the 3/16th hole to speed up loading.

Things I liked:

I like the co2 pistols, in particular the blowback replicas. I may use them a lot more than the average person, but I think they are a great training aid.

Things I would have changed:

The cost needs to come down substantially. I can purchase magazines for a real 1911 for less money. The manufactures need to offer a tool kit and rebuilding supplies if they can't design these to last more than 30 or 40 days.

What others should know:

I don't aim to pick on the 'Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec CO2 .177 BB Gun Magazine', this complaint I am voicing pertains to all of the magazines that contain the co2 cartridge in my personal experience, the Sig Sauers, Swiss Arms, Barra, Springfield Armories, and Berreta's. I am particular to the 1911 models but all of these guns I have been very satisfied with, and the full metal guns have not given me any issues other than the failure of the magazine seals. I use these in conjunction with the Mantis shooting performance system and in the last 2 years have logged more than 10,000 shots, but these magazines don't last more than 90 days for me, this last one failing last week, purchased 10/30/2002, it's now 11/11/2002. This is of course nothing more than my opinions based on my own experience. I do not want to bad mouth any particular maker, and if any of you don't know, Pyramyd Air has an excellent customer service reputation, and well-earned at that. Maybe I just over use them.

    Things I liked:

I LOVE the gun itself and I also like the ease of use this magazine provides as I find it easy to load with BB's and CO2.

    Things I would have changed:

I will say that I had to order this magazine because of a recurring issue with seal failure which I have been unable to resolve. I have seen other comments and complaints about this issue with this (and other) magazines. I recommend that PA and Air Venturi come up with a magazine REBUILD KIT and/or a price reduction for the mag itself. From brand new I only got about 5 reloads of air cartridges before the seals failed completely. Some attention needs to be paid to this matter. This excellent replica pistol deserves a mag that will hold up to regular usage.

    What others should know:

NEVER, EVER leave partially used air cylinders installed in the Mag between usage. I'm sure this probably contributes to early seal failures.

    Things I liked:

I like the weight and solid fell of the magazine and relative ease of loading the BB's and the CO2. I will say that I had to order this Mag after all the seals failed on the one that came with the gun so it's a "wait and see" as to how this one will perform. The seals in the original only lasted for 6 or 8 reloads before giving out. Thanks. For the record, I had the same issue with the Springfield Armory M1 Carbine Mags as well.

    Things I would have changed:

Can't think of anything except that seal KITS should be made available for purchase for customers that have the means and expertise to make repairs. I would also recommend that buyers should be cautioned to NOT leave air cylinders LOADED in these mags between use. I would also recommend/hope that Pyramyd/ Venturi Air find a way to make the cost of these Mags a bit more reasonable as the price is somewhat high in my opinion.

    What others should know:

In my opinion I would recommend that you Do NOT leave half used or full CO2 cylinders installed when the gun is stored or not in frequent use.

Magazine sticks when inserted into the weapon (Sig Sauer 1911). Won't release and drop out as normal and has to be pried out.

    What others should know:

Wait for Sig Sauer to solve their supply chain issues and get your magazine directly from them.

    Things I liked:

As you drag the spring down to fill the magazine with BBs, when you reach the end, it has a catch that holds the spring while you drop in BBs. Much better than holding the spring down with one hand while dropping BBs on the floor and into the magazine. When the magazine is full, you just push the spring follower down and it snaps up against the last BB inserted.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much else, it works fine.

    What others should know:

Keep your C02 cartridges fresh, I had a problem with a couple of old ones.

    Things I liked:

The feel of the gun is just like the 1911, making it potentially a decent practice substitute.

    Things I would have changed:

    (1) Have it come with a spare magazine. (2) Make it easier to load the magazine. I have to use something like a drill bit to push each BB into the mag. (3) Figure out how to make the slide release when the slide is pulled back, like on a real 1911 (4) Improve the accuracy. A shot that is on target at 15 feet is six inches too high at 13 feet and 5-6 inches too low at 18 feet. (5) a little bit more power. Not enough power right now to flip my airgun reactive targets.

    Metal construction seems solid.

    Things I would have changed:

It needs a better way to load BBs. Perhaps a simple hole in the mag like on the Luger. Definitely painfully slow to load

    What others should know:

If you buy the 1911 you will want a spare mag both because they are slow to load and for practice changing mags
